Endless Dungeon (Hive Workshop Edit)

Very long Warchaser Style map(will take 4-5 hours to finish)
Not recommended for solo
Tank+healer are essential
there are 3 types of mobs: anti-spellcasters(low armor, medium, a lot of spell reduction), anti-attackers(high armor, heavy, no spell reduction) and bosses
A lot of hidden secrets, puzzles and easter eggs

Changelist (some differences from the epicwar version)
all heros now have 300 movespeed and same colision and turn rate
final boss is harder
finger of death dmg increased
soul burn dmg up 50%
immo dmg increase 50%
lightning shield dmg increase
edo madara armor increased
time beast summon nerf (cd 60s from 30s)
spider ring buffed
dark druid staff lifesteal up to 12%
death coil dmg increased
added item models
Blood key location now randomised
mobs will now randomly drop more items
power tome/boss tome buffed (give more levels and now also grant hp and dmg)
added a 3token item for casters (blessing of the green dragons)

Edit 6(5.02.2024): Hero stat per level balancing (int heroes now have way more int per level, str per lv upped for almost all non-str heroes)
Fixed Dark Druid staff tooltip (now properly states the stats granted)
Fire Lord boss now only spawns 2 lava spawns per cast (3 of them were a lot and would quickly become unmanageable if not focused down rapidly)
Lava spawn hitpoints reduced from 700000 to 550000
All final damage upgrades now cost 10000 gold, instead of 10000-15000 (based on level)
Edit 7(29.04.2024): Hero stat adjustments (overall casters have more str per lv and less agility)
Armor upgrade levels increased from 2 to 3 and base cost reduced to 1000 from 1500
Golden Sword of Greed active bounty multiplier decreased from 5 to 3 and cooldown lowered from 300 to 120

Boats now cost 10k gold, are more tanky, and each player gains a free one at the start of the water maze
Dragon knight zone is now more forgiving (removed the cannons and mobs from the left side)
Agility required per armor point incrased from 8 to 10
Blademaster strength per lv decreased from 1.5 to 1
Edit 11(23.06.2024): Int items now grant significantly more int
final boss nerfed
some mobs have less spell reduction
Edit 12(10.07.2024): added a backpack system - upgrade for 2000g, allows you to call upon the eye of holding
added a dice system, players can now type "-dice" to get a number from 1 to 100
mistress of destruction death coil replaced with soul burn
thunderclap costs less mana
some heroes have more agi/lv
Edit 13(26.07.2024): bugfix; players no longer gain gold if they dont hold the golden sword of greed on their hero
hellfire cloak armor increased from 200 to 250 and hp increased from 10k to 25k
armor reduction items clearly state that their auras dont stack but that they do stack with the blademasters aura
the first 2 bosses no longer have an instakill move
the first 2 bosses now each drop an orb of fire (to help teams with more than 1 melee deal with the dragons)
upgrade time decreased from 1s to 0
players now get a hint that they can upgrade their hero

Some heroes don't have glow. It can simply be added: How to add Hero Glow without Modeling

A simple old-school RPG where the player takes the role of heroes named like kindergarten sex related jokes. Not really close to Warchasers, the gameplay and terrain being for the most part monotonous.

However, I'm sorry, I can't approve this until the twisted Shrek pedophilia stuff you want to call funny is taken out.

Fine, Shrek Cinematic is removed. Added hero glow and changed the passive icons. How is this not similar to warchasers though?(besides the hero names of course).It's 4 heroes linearly grinding mobs for a few hours. Terrain is mostly flat indeed, but i dont see how i could use the terrain to create a better gameplay for this type of map(tried adding some diversity by adding the water area and some tight corridors, but thats pretty much it). The gameplay is kinda grindy and boring indeed, i was inspired by Wtii's gameplay of this map : Warcraft 3 Badass WarChasers - Warcraft 3 Maps - Epic War.com and i wanted to make something similar (of a better quality though).

Terrain is mostly flat indeed, but i dont see how i could use the terrain to create a better gameplay for this type of map
Boy oh boy.

As someone who spent half a lifetime in 'this type of map', I can tell you that there is plenty you can do.
Puzzles are a great way to have your environment weave in with gameplay and it can also introduce a change of pace which is necessary in a map where otherwise you'd be doing nothing but killing stuff. It can also make players go around and have them look for clues.

Warchasers is quite a simple map and that's fine.
If you are looking for something to be a next stepping stone to be inspired from instead of Warchasers, try this out:

So. I am a stubborn old lad and i tried to play it solo.
O reached lvl 465 with Yunero but at this point progress was impossible as spoiler alert
tp skill disasappeared. I had to swap items in order to reach the burning cave so it messed up my perfct item
inventory.
Having said that i really like the game.
I think it could be improved in some ways. I feel it could use shops to sell items, better use of map
(it felt a bit empty to me) extra storage for some items that will be used later in the map ( for example 4 and 8)
Thats all. If i manage to find someone to play with i ll probably give more feedback.
Congrats creating an interesting version of an old goldie

Thanks for playing ! glad you enjoyed the map. You can use the space next to the potion shop to store items that you want to keep for later, also, the tp ability returns after you finish the hell section. Let me know if you encounter any more trouble or have any other suggestions

I played a bit more and i managed to reach the boats. I realized that checkpoints werent available anymore.
Only the shop access and spider checkpoint. I also couldnt reroute cause map appeared as if i didnt explore passed areas.
I think this happened due to "save" game. As i said i play alone and progress is slow ( I believe i played 6 hours already)
I think that Being unable to return to those spots makes to next step impossible as i left behind the 2 pieces of map (4 and 8)
I kind of knew that this would come to bite me in this ass.
Am i wrong?

Ps. Maybe you could consider the possibility to grant solo players the option to play 3 heroes?
Ps. 2 I suggested the bag for extra storage as keys and maps take slots from valuable items...
and i dont actually know when i ll be needing some of this items

The checkpoints before the hell area are no longer accesible, if you want a place to store items you can just drop them next to the potion shop since that area can always be teleported to. The map pieces are not essential to win the game, although they can help you finish it faster(you dont need the pieces themselves, just remember the numbers and the order you found them in). Btw, if you are playing the blademaster hero (or any other dps hero) it's essential for you to have an armor reduction item from the Sunwell (supreme sword, divine armguard, frostguard), otherwise the later parts of the game are almost impossible. I will consider adding a bag mechanic for the items though.
