Mixed Blessing

The drop-outs are disappointing, but for a fairly average mapper such as myself, the reduced competitor count could be benefitial...

(I'm currently using a modified Thrall for the hero, but time permitting, I will make a hero of my own)

Seems most people are ~ or less than 10% done with their campaign, judging by the fact that almost no direct wips have been posted, and this is the progress of two months. Meaning that even with an extension of a month, people would have to work extremely much harder to have any change whatsoever to finish.

A 3 mission campaign in one week, man that must suck bad for sure. Only reason anyone would do that would be for the prices that comes with winning this shit.

Yea I mean by this point I can't make anything quality, and I am sure that there won't be more then 3 contestants so if I make it it will be only for the reputation lol, but I don't think I will anyway.

Who is is working?
I've finished terraining map #1. I plan to have either 3 or 4 maps at completion.
It's going to be an adventure, with exploring and logical stuff. Could end up pretty fun or pretty damn boring. Dunno yet though.

Ooh, I forgot about Callahan. I don't know how.

Starting triggering on map 1 and thinking storyline over more thoroughly.

EDIT: Oh, there's actually still a lot of people left? I wish this had a little table thing on the first page like in the PMC. =X

Perhaps it is a retarded attempt to get the award icon, who knows? Either way, Anachron speaks the truth, there is to much work involved when making a campaign for most people to ever finish, seems people need several months to finish and keep quality, correct me if i'm wrong.

If noone else submits, i'd rather die than seeing this fool get an award, really. :p

I agree here.

And moths for a quality campaign are true and false. You can make a good campaign in 3 even 2 weeks if you spend 2 hours on it each day, even less, one hour each day for 3 missions and 2 cinematics. I will try doing it in 2 weeks.

None of you is right or wrong. It still pends on how much work you are able to put into your campaign and how much hours you are able to spend for it. I am sure you can do the same campaign in 1 week or 1 months, meaning it depends on reallife and so many other factors that nobody can think of.

I personally dislike now ideas like campaigns and such big things, lets try to keep it simple, but effective please.

Next time such a contest is held: Give a lot of time, allow teams and definitely set a minimum quality in order to get a prize at all. Right now you better give no reward then giving a reward to a campaign that somebody worked on for 5 minutes.

Don´t be that pessimistic. Having a good idea is pure fun. I don´t care whether i finish it. But i´ll try.

I am not pesimistic. I know having a idea is pure fun, but I say finish for the sake that the other guy with his campaign doesn't win. Go one page back and you will see his posts oO
