Good afternoon, today for your review, I present to you my campaign called "Burn the Mind", where I abandoned the reworking of the plot and completely focused on playing only enemies.
There are five chapters.
You must go through a series of missions, each of which presents a new challenge and an opportunity to learn more about your locality and the reasons for your downfall.
There are two difficulties to choose from - Normal, Hard.

What's new?
1. New campaign screen with new music.
2. All dialogues were voiced using ElevenLabs.
3. Updated Thrall model (Credits I will insert)
4. Quest titles and quest requirements have been corrected.
5. Fixed all loading screens.
Bugs in the chapters have been fixed, specifically:
The first chapter:
1) Fixed gaps between words.
2) Fixed the player's color to black.
The second chapter:
1) Fixed gaps between words.
The third chapter:
1)Changed the color back to blue.
2)New Optional quest
3) Fixed hotkeys for upgrades.
4) Fixed a bug with allies
5) Corrected a mistake in words when translating the campaign into English.
The fourth chapter:
Nothing has been changed.
The fifth chapter:
1) Zar'jira- was completely re-voiced
2) An error with cinematics, or rather with textures, has been fixed.
3) New Optional Quest
4) A new island with pirates.
5) Corrected a mistake in words when translating the campaign into English.
6) Fixed the lag at the end of the mission (wtii, please forgive me:xxd:)
7) Fixed the color of the monsters to black.

This is like Wings of Liberty reversed. Quite enjoyable. I like that it was somewhat expanded from the base game and not just a plain copy-paste. In Chapter 2, I found an island with insane loot. Is that supposed to be there of left by accident? Also, that elemental attack is really annoying XD

This was very enjoyable to play I would love to see your take on the other campaigns. Cause you dont just flip who the player controls you add little things that mix the gameplay up a bit.

I did notice the Murloc Mage description says "ripple" instead of "Cripple"

Good afternoon, thanks for the feedback, in which chapter did you see this bug, and was it in version 1.26 or in Reforged? I would also like to hear from you if you would change or redo it. Thank you.

Last chapter where you train the murlocs is where I noticed it. As far as changing it I dont mind having cripple its a good spell

I enjoyed this one, it was pretty funny and I liked the reversed concept, wish we would've gotten some more like these. I only had one issue with the campaign and that was the difficulty. Even on normal, the micro missions felt...awful to try and beat at the very least, mostly due to that Spirit Link thingy where all of the AI's units share HP. And with how weak the provided units are, its...staggering to say the least. Also, descriptions of units should be updated and more fleshed out, the Murloc Mage in the last mission has "ripple" instead of Cripple in his description and the Footman and Rifleman (at least those I noticed) have rather eye-hurting descriptions, specifically the Rifleman. On the difficulty, its up to you how you handle it, but in my experience as a casual player, it was...not pleasant in some areas. The descriptions can be done better by either sectioning them (i.e writing the Rifleman just how Blizzard has him and then adding an organized text with his new ability and any bit of extra info you might want to add, not just clumping it all together as it looks bad and doesnt interest the player in reading it). Overall was a nice experience, I do hope you make more of these. 3/5!

I just finished it, and I gotta say this is the campaign I've been looking for a long time. Playing a vanilla WC3 campaign as the opposing race is what I always wanted to try, and this here is the closest I'll ever get. I am seriously hoping more campaigns like this will come out in the future. I can already imagine myself playing first and second human mission as the Blackrock orcs who try to prevent Arthas from killing the orc leaders.
I ran into the bug in chapter 5 - after some time, the game started lagging massively, I could barely play the chapter. This really needs to be fixed. I am playing on 1.31 version of the game.

Please, write on the post whether its RPG or RTS..or Both
It is Exodus of the Horde but from a different perspective. It does have RTS maps where you build a base, but the RPG maps are different. Take the first map for example, instead of you directing Thrall from point A to point B, you have to stop him before he reaches Medivh. So yeah, it does have both RTS and RPG, it's just that RPG maps aren't what you are typically used to

It's been a week since I finished the campaign, I will give my feedback now.
This reverse campaign is a fantastic idea I gotta say, we will play the role of creature or opponent force in the campaign, to stop those great heroes from completing their missions. Pretty interesting and funny lol, HOWEVER, IT WAS TOO SHORT THAN I THOUGHT! You know I always hope a good campaign has a long experience time. But anyway, I'm still waiting for the complete campaign.


Below is my advice for this campaign.
1)need more Acquisition and Growth. Throughout the whole campaign, I found many chapters were like a unit map, fixed position, fixed creatures, and fixed gameplay. Maybe we need some changes for this, for example, making a command station(HeroUnit) that has the level, inventory, and ability(aura, magic, etc). Alternatively, make a rune system to promote your units by collecting runes.
2)need to improve AI in RTS style. I have to say the AI was so weak, just surrounded the hero and any problems were solved. So I want the AI to be like a real player, leaving the battlefield when low HP, buying items from the shop to heal units, hit and run, etc etc.
3)need to properly enchant units, abilities, and items. You know a campaign without an arc is too boring for players, that is why I suggest focusing on game experience, new systems, new units, new items, and new abilities. But If you have any fantastic arc ideas, that will be better than what I suggest.


At last, pls work hard on this campaign. I'm expecting it!

I feel that the campaign has gotten out of hand, the idea was to be able to play in reverse like the prologue campaign but in the missions of the scourge of Lordaeron it seems that you want to convert it into a kind of alternative campaign and there are many of those and with better story and gameplay I'm sorry but the good thing about the campaign was only being able to play on the opposite side with some different aspects, which is not there and it was something new for us if you want to create an alternative campaign that's fine but you should create it separately from the reverse campaign that one it is my opinion

Thought I would add some notes I wrote down from when I played this campaign:



Ch2
Optional quest is called dop quest when completed.

Ch3
The 40 food limit limits our options a lot, we cannot expand because of the tornado near the expansion gold mine, and both those factors force players to spend too long turtling in the base in hard mode, especially since the Archmage can't go past lvl 4.
I liked the Archmage's reaction to thrall using his reveal spell, it really shows the perspective from humans.

Ch4
After asking for the difficulty, it then asked for the difficulty again.
I liked the scene where the humans fought the murlocs and Thrall ran past them.
I was scared of destroying items that thrall might pick up, since he was scripted to pick up everything and I thought it might bug it if I did that.
Could not finish cause region lock meant I couldn't kill a head hunter who stopped moving at start of map. The reason he stopped at the start of the map was he kept getting blocked behind other units when they were all moving in 1 direction. It is an issue with wc3 movement system, sometimes units just stop if they keep getting blocked when trying to go somewhere.


General points

I enjoyed this campaign; it was pretty unique.

Played it - love the idea, but balance is... Duh.

Featuring this campaign walkthrough, sometimes was forced to use, ehm, cheats, to deal with difficulty spikes.

However I played it full and I liked your concept - awaiting for more Warcraft 3 Reversed campaigns, both ROC & TFT!
You are not alone, but atleast you played through the full campaign. I'm stuck with Ravages of the Plague. The first half is easy peasy, but the second half is just absolute brutal.

Usually when I make a campaign, I adjust the difficulty to suit myself, since there are practically very few testers. That's why it's probably difficult for you.

When I hit a bump in the road, or experiencing setbacks, it's probably because I didn't learned something how to overcome it, or even knowing why I can't get through here and there. Maybe it's me, or maybe it's really hard. Nothing wrong with it. I also submitted this in the wrong section, because the mention chapter is not part of the BurnTheMind campaign, but it's part of the AbsorbPlague. Still, I'm struggling to complete with this campign too.

When of the most amusing custom campaign I've ever played. It has successfully introduced a completely new aspect when playing the original story. We really should have had this way sooner.
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming projects.

Surprisingly quality work for such a simple idea. Don't have much to say, just that it's a pretty good campaign. Played on hard, enjoyed it.

Chapter 2
1) It's necessary to have some gold saved up to have a continuous supply of new units, and optionaly some gold to upgrade towers. And since AI does nothing before you build 12 footmen, you can just wait for the gold to accumulate, which is quite boring. I really wish there was some starting gold (like 100-200) to avoid the pointless waiting.
Chapter 3
2) Funny how upgrade for footmen called "Develop speed" gives them the ability to occasionaly deal crit damage. You'd think "Aditional training" would be a more fitting name here, like getting more expirienced = being able to occasionaly make a very effective hit on enemy's vital points resulting in crit damage.
Chapter 4
3) Black spiders crawl out from the caves after Thrall has already passed, so they do nothing. Weird decision if intended.
4) So a funny little story. In a fight with a huge gnoll group, Thrall let me kill everyone except 2 trolls without using a healing scroll. And right after that, he decided to use healing scroll when fighting mere 4 skeleton archers. At first I thought that's just AI being wacky, but then despite that I lost the final fight with blunt approach tactic. Had to reload and properly position my units, won with ~half hp of murloc hero. So I guess the loading screen doesn't lie that even a smallest detail matters - that's some fine difficulty tuning.

I think i played this in the past and forgot to give a rating, similar to your newst campaign Absorb Plague, Everything i said about that one also applies to this one, The concept is super unique, geting to play as the enemy agaisnt the "good guys" of the story is just brilliant, and the addition of the extra quests, creeps and of course the A.I voice lines helped a lot to raise the quality level of the campaign! I hope you will continue with this great project of yours! :infl_thumbs_up:
