Another Tower Defense - 1.0

First and foremost, I'm not really good at making post look neat and cool so I'll try to keep it clear, clean, and short so that everything is said with no useless text or information.
And if you have any idea/questions/feedback, feel free to go for them, I'll gladly hear them all.

Inspirations :
The two mains inspiration for the creation of this map is Bleed TD and Pumpkin TD.
  • The path and live system of Bleed TD really seduced me (Tower with XP come from here but with tweaks).
  • The random part of Pumpkin TD was really cool to work with.

Goals and Ideas :
  • I wanted to make a map where everything was centered around killing the maximum amount of monster without meaning killing all of them since they would come around and stand before your tower untill you have no more space for more monster.
  • The is supposed (Soon to come) to be playable in full 8 players Co-op, or Last Man Standing (1 ; 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 6 ; 8 players)
  • Team plays (1v1 ; 2v2 ; 2v2v2; 4v4)
  • The 2 mains GameMods are "Race" and "Survival", where in Race mod you have to get to a set goal before losing or before your opponents and Survival Mod will have no end and the goal is simply to make the highest score possible in each difficulty.

Major Problem :
- Since I only came back to Warcraft 3 like 2-3 weeks ago, the major problem I face is balancing the difficulty of the differents ones. Like the easiest is just the monster growing as fast as you earn from them. And then after, every wave is growing faster (depends on difficulty chosen), than what the monster grant you on death.

Why the map look like that... Well because it was to me the most efficient way to organise player around balanced path. For exemple in 2P, each player gets 2 corner and 2 straight path. And for 3P each player gets 1 corner while keeping the time it takes for one monster to make it's way to the other player.

Everything in the map is hand made, I imported nothing. (If you wish to know how something was made, feel free to ask)

Opiemonster : Creator of Bleed TD which seems to be silent on Hive (Last Seen March 4 -2023)
Bleed TD (Only place I found it) :

  • Show Damages/Spell/Utility not working as intended.
  • Extra life not working yet
  • 4 Players and more not yet implemented
  • Only game mode "Co-op Race" is implemented
  • More advanced tower will come (With hero / chaos and more damages type)
  • More building will come
  • More Rank 1/2/3 items will come
  • A in game timer will come
  • Some description don't match what they actually do
  • More Heroes to come
  • Boss system will come
  • Mobs will sometimes begin to wander around the map before finally going back on tracks
  • More effects to come like "weakened" and "slowed"

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
