I love Winter and Fall!

Id just like to say that if you look at the sun in Famous' screenshots it doesn't make sense to me. In the fall picture the sun is on the left side, and the others its on the right. And summer in the center, that just doesnt make sense to me. I guess the rotation of the planet effected the position of the sun... Seems unreal. Or maybe my education on seasons just sucks. ANYWAY they are great screen shots and the hand made of rocks is great too. I think im going to lose now I think ill change my mind and try to make mine better >.<

and i thought our planet earth just changed its tilt angle as it revolved around the sun.. hmm... i just cant see how that sun moved like that in those screens -.- someone correct me please!

The position of the sun could be anywhere. It all depends on what direction you face, where you are, and what season it is. It seems perfectly realistic to me. Each one is a different time of day, and the sun is going from east to west.

Oh and one is a moon.

The sun do moves his position in the horizon through the seasons. You can google it to find more information!

Famous, the two things in the field are too visible in the summer shot. The others are great, I like spring the best (terrific sky, but you always have awesome skies). I like the progression you show with the house and stuff. GJ.

Okay about the sun thing. i was sure i was wrong by the way haha. And i thought about it for a little while after i posted it and came to the conclusion that the sun would appear to be in a different location in a view during the year because of the earth's tilt.

And about Gilles response to it id like to say when you said how the sun moves from east to west, that really doesn't have anything to do with what im talking about except time of day. Those screenshots would either be looking towards the west or the east, since the sun is either setting or rising there.

First WIP

I've been busy lately but I finally managed to get some work done on my terrain. It's pretty simple right now, hopefully I can make it a bit better in the future. This will most likely be the Summer version of this terrain.

And hawkwing, i really like the scene you chose, should be great when its finished.

An Ashenvale one? Not sure, anything but that really. Or a coating of small grass doodads. Really small ones.

You're totally right. It looks much smoother like this. The grass doodad looked too messy and heavy, even at a very low scale.

@Airhead - I really hate the grass doodad and the rocks around the water. That's my only major concern.

Here's my Winter version. I forgot to change the weather to Blizzard, but I will later. I've updated the Summer one too, but I don't have screenie.

I want to add some shrubbery or something, but that dosen't really make sense in a winter scene.

@ Airhead, the winter rocks around the pond look REALLY bad. The rest is very nice. The trees are well spaced, and have good size variation.
