Sup yall,


Ive been playing Protect the House on and off, and while Ive had my fair share of fun with it, I thought it could be a little bit more interesting, so I...



  • Added 6 additional Heros, coming up to 7 with the basic Gunner, all with unique Abilities and playstyles!
  • Gave all Heros a special Tower which underlines their playstyle!
  • Added easier / more difficult Settings (Questlog for commands)!
  • Added 4 Player Mode, which spawns Rocks at half of the entrances!
  • Gave the Shop an overhaul, so its a bit more useable now!
  • Added the Ability to sell Towers!
  • Lots of small changes, all (hopefully) written down in the Questlog!

So if you already like Protect the House, give it a shot,but if it wasnt your cup of tea, this wont please you either :cool:2


In any case, here a quick summary of what this map is, in its Original and Edited version:
Defend with up to 8 Players the House by any means, Zombies will march from the corners of the Map and try to destroy it!
Build Barricades to Block them off and Towers to send them back from whence they came!
If one side falls, so will the others, so make sure to help out teammates which are struggeling!

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

  1. Builders are locked to constructing one building at a time which slows the player's game flow a bit. Most noticeable in less players.
  2. Very reliant on barricades. Towers are weak to enemy attacks, thus limiting the play zones.
  3. For some reason Cannon Towers have Rally Points.
  4. Poison Tower and Air Tower have the same icon.
  5. Some tower upgrade icon positions are random; Lightning Tower's is near Attack not the third on the last column down as the previous Magik upgrades.
  6. Tower and item variation is rather slim.
  7. Some heroes could benefit from hero glow. It can simply be added: How to add Hero Glow without Modeling
Use of core gameplay mechanics. While the edit/update might be better and nicer overall, it's tad unpolished and doesn't take the map significantly farther from the original.
