The Assault on the Towers

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.

The Undead must advance to reach the gates of Dalaran. The first step to reach it is to destroy two towers located within the map. These towers must be destroyed within 30 seconds after the first one is hit, or Dalaran will be alerted to send a large army to eliminate the Undead forces. Within the map, units captured by humans, orcs and night elves can be released to augment their units.

To install:
  • Download the File "The Assault on the Towers.w3m"
  • Go to the installation folder of the game, for example: C:/Users/ user/ documents/ Warcraft III/ Maps/
  • Inside this folder create a folder naming it whatever you prefer and place the downloaded File inside it
  • Open the game
  • Custom games
  • Here you will find the folder you created and inside it will be the map you can play

Hey there
I'm not gonna rate the map considering it is still on its early dev stage
Even tho it's playable and triggers work, this map needs a lot more playability and aethetic work
This map could work on 1/10th of its current size
You have over 10k corn, tight in 2 spots ...., with around 3k flowers, and thousands of trees that have no purpose considering you can't build a base
The gameplay is really poor
I think you wanted to make a campaign map like, but with no base ...
You should really work on gameplay
I think adding orcs/elves could be fine if you wanted to make an alternate lore version of the assault on dalaran

Hi, thanks for the feedback! Yes the map is still in the early stages and for the size you are absolutely right, but the editor crashes when I try to resize it... For the time being I wanted to see if it could be interesting to manage the two armies to coordinate to have to eliminate towers about at the same time. Thanks again for playing, I'm working on improving it

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
