Did an edit on the Monsoon Target model to create a smite-like target effect.

By virtue of the build-up being huge, the length and size of the effect is not of concern. Thus, it is only appropriate for the follow-up to be equally explosive. That's how I feel, anyways.

The Fire Trap seems awkward for the explosive aspect that the build-up suggests.

It doesn't seem to command enough power.

The ribbons are excellent though.

hey JetFangIngerno Nice Effect, ever thought of maybe changing the colors a bit?
i agree with:
Blue, purple and red looks weird. Any single one of them alone would look good.

But alone with any of the colors would hide the effects and you would
basically only see the ribbons and and a blur and none of the blight aura model or the fire
trap at the end
(which i think looks positively Glorious) so maybe green can replace blue.
blue in my eyes Does not Match the blight aura model but its just my opinion,
regardless of whatever Nonsense spews from keyboard your Model looks Splendid.

A collection of my light and darkness themed effects for the third Special Effect Competition at the Hiveworkshop. In this pack you'll get:

Three Light models:
- Retribution
- Smite Target
- Boiling Holy Water
Four Darkness models:
- Corruption
- Aura of Death
- Boiling Shadow (purple variant)
- Boiling Shadow (hellish red variant)

GIVE ME CREDITS IF YOU USE THEM IN YOUR MAP.

MDX files can have any path, and they do not use any custom textures.

Important note:
Most of the effects cannot be viewed correctly in model viewing programs.
It's recommend that you view them in World Editor and even ingame.

Yea close enough...

Any way problem: I am so sleepy :slp: And I still something, so the big question.. why 12 AM - why not 12 PM... it would really make my day if it was changed like that.

If it was 12 PM I would 100% make it with the 3 models, as of now I seem to be too asleep to work properly... :hohum:

Ugh. Extensions don't mean anything if we're going to have more than one.

And I doubt he'd finish in a day. No offense, but it's a lot of work.

I am almost done, it was just some of the Geosetanims that for a weird reason failed to function.

Anyway I wouldn't really call it a extension its just a change from AM to PM :wink:

Apparently so , regardless of what extension is proposed, this is host's post so
he/her (I'm not sure) holds the dice. Plus This might a be an opportunity for some to get a few things done.

It was, but I fail anyway... as the last model/sfx's geosetanimations still won't work... and with the time left it is unlikely that I'll make it. Oh well it was a desperate hope that I could get time to this even with only 2 days (exams took the rest) :hohum:

Still will try to fix it, just in case I should be able to do it before time is up. :bored:

EDIT:
Its Official; I just can't get them to work... I'll try asking someone for help when this contest is over, so I can finish it... Well I'll upload what I wanted to use here later when all of them works, might as well take the time with them now... :sad: Still thanks Pyritie for the chance.
