Special Effect Competition #2 - Nature

They look different ingame. The second and last one especially.

And hey, the colors are green, the names are about nature in Wc3 (Cenarion Fury, Elune's Fire, Ancient's Wrath, Emerald Portal).
I was going more for a "wild" nature feel, instead of Wc3's magic-like nature. I think I'll make earth-like FX next.

The second is based off nothing at all. Just a simple geomerge and very small animating.

Maybe add a star?

Got a new FX: Blessing of Elun (At first a spelling mistake, but now the male equivalent of Elune). The little star trails go up and explode into a moon, while the plane/magic/thingies move downwards and scale up.

Interesting use of the Divine Shield for the Emerald Portal. I'm not sure if it's intended however, for the death animation to have yellow particles. Also, I would like to say nice edit of Incinerate for your CenarionFury sfx. My favorite was the Emerald Core. Unlike me, you really have some awesome sounding names for your models. Good sfx pack. :)

Not true. You just need to think outside the box. Experiment, try new techniques, change styles, don't be afraid to abuse a certain aspect (like Daelin with his Unwraps, for example).

Just don't expect to recreate World In Conflict's nuke. The particle systems are incredibly advanced (and the result is awesome to behold)... Too bad, I would love to be able to make deformation bubbles and bloom. :(

I would like to make deformation bubbles too lol. I've been trying to make them forever but Warcraft's graphics engine doesn't support it =( I certainly abuse tail particles and it's not getting me anywhere lol. I can't think of new techniques though =/ I feel like I've exhausted all my possibilities.
