Here's a video showing off the whole faction.

I haven't found any clear images of one unit, but they're all blue/purple and round, with some nice lights. Kinda like the alien ships in "Independance Day".

Make it darker, black or gray or metalic is good for the main plates, wires should be a mix of red an blue, eyes should be red or blue (i think red though, suits it)

The apendages and parts in between main sections could be black,certainly something darker than its "shell"

As for a scrin color scheme.... i dunno, maybe as an alternate texture.

The mothership was entirely blue and black, really. And so were the awesome-laser-firing-ships (well, more or less, since it was basically a big disc of black)...

The independance day alien crew were blue, theyre craft were dark blue gray and black and their mothership was glossy-blue. I also remember them having this huge ass gray ship they blow up in the end.

Alien Destroyer would be cool. And yes the tons of guns look a little silly.

I am working on some kind of artillary.

But it's kind of straying outside the bounds of robottishness, and trying to work out how its one-segment legs are actually going to move keeps leading me towards wheels or tracks, which would make it not a robot (at least, in terms of the contest).

Actually Cal, i really like that model, It does as you say need a better texture, maybe some gun barrels too. Oh and the head is weird.

Yes , i will make more mechs , but i have to overcome my Gmax/modeling skills problem before The current mech got all animations allready in gmax , but after export some of them are screwd . I got lots of time now so probably some day i will finish it xd Hopefully before the deadline.

im scared to the third degree... first rdz, then zatoga, then kofi, Mechanical Man, plus jigreals holy crap model. I'm scared... lol, mechanical man, that mech is sweet, that skin is good if its your first, though the front should be slanted, it just seems a little odd flat like that.
