The Rise of Tacya – The Last Flame

📖 Campaign Story Introduction:

When the great kingdom of Tacya fell to ruin, its people were scattered, hunted, and forgotten. The capital was lost. The crown betrayed its people. And in the ashes, only a few survived.

Five winters have passed.

Now, hidden deep beyond the mountains, the survivors have built a fragile new home: Hearthwal.
Led by a former farmer turned reluctant leader—Richard—they prepare for the storm they know will return.
The orcs have found them again.
And this time, Tacya will not run.

Please don't use the Maps section for feedback and pre-release attention. Do that in Map Development

Please remove the assets as they will be downloaded separately along with the map. Make a credits list instead as in the guides below/other threads.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

I see , I have removed the assets and I already have a working in progress for the credit, question is does the credit have to be in both game and hive? Or 1 of them is enough? Also Thank for the Scanner, I literally had a text doc with names wrote on it so I could keep track.. That will be very useful since I am not entirely decided on which customer models to use and if I will stick with these , I will also try to share the map into the thread you shared called The Grand Review Exchange! ,

The rule(s) state that the obligation is to have them in the map thread, not in the map as well. But if you wanna be more than decent have them somewhere there in the map/campaign too.

This campaign is made using full AI over dialogue and everything else. The intro is pretty lacking and doesn't tell us much, it's just making it more complicated. The first map is wayy too huge and is not fun to play, I've quit after a few minutes. Buildings are too big, AI is not properly done and it's a mess. I recommend starting over with a simplier map and not a base building mission. Perhaps getting to the knights the captain spoke of? I also recommend not using that much AI.

Well , I will answer honestly.. First I want to thank you for spending the time in writing me feedback, this was the intention, but I have a few issues with your feedback. Regarding ,,This campaign is made using full AI over dialogue and everything else." , you're right about ai helping me with the grammar and structure for the story, mainly cause English is not my first language, but the story is been written by me... Using ai to create some artwork and check for spelling mistakes hardly counts as the whole map being ai made... Now I won't go into the ai discution, but the story is mine not ai's a story you didn't gave it a chance, I mean you quit after starting cinematic as far as I understood. Moving forward,,The intro is pretty lacking and doesn't tell us much, it's just making it more complicated. " Is lacking what exactly? Is the story bad, or the storytelling? Is the issue my cinematic crafting skills? You just dislike the story? I mean this is what would help me knowing. Also about building being to big... This can be discussed I did it because it always felt weird having unit same size building, now in terms of the map , what exactly is a mess? The terrain is not working properly causing gameplay issues? Does the enemy ai not working properly? Does the main quest and optional quest's bugged or to hard ? Also regarding the knights, you where supposed to get them after completing the optional quest...I honestly think you tried it out it wasn't what you expected and you just quit without giving a proper go... And I am not saying this because I feel attacked, but mainly because of the way your feedback is been constructed, Did you dislike it because you dislike ai in general and you just thought this was made by ai or you genuinely dislike the ideas and gameplay/story?

I am glad you considered my feedback
The problem with the interlude, or the first cinematic, is that it tells a lot of things that we have no idea about, it goes on for too long and it's just 1 camera angle. The dialogue is straight with AI, I suggest turning it down a bit and try saying less but showing more
The problem with chapter 1 is that it's too long for a chapter and it's a mess because there's so many units and things you need to do.
You've tried adding too much stuff in your first story and campaign, which is not always good
I will rate it 3/5 for encouragemt.
