I think i'm going to enter, with 5 icons (already thought about them) But i'm working on a 256x256 base size, is it enough?...

EDIT-
ok here is my water icon(i have the 512*512 in there also(just did it))
EDIT2-heres my fire icon 400*400, its that size because i did it before i read the 512*512 rule
EDIT3-i updated the water icon itself not the actualy picture(shrunk down the pic a little more)

FF7 project-G, no offense mate but your filter abuse is quite evident. The plastic wrap one sticks out like a sore thumb.







I have not made Icons in a long time and I made them rather quickly so forgive the quality...(made at 64x64 in Photoshop, all scratch)

I was going to enter, but I don't do icons at 512 that is ridiculously overkill in size, for icons. Making icons in that size will DESTROY the quality when re-sized down.
Wulf, reconsider this "rule" as a 512 image is RIDICULOUS for any of my work, I don't even do normal unit textures in 512.
When icon are compressed/sized in those dimensions they suffer no loss.

Something to note is that I made all the icons in 512x512 except the last one which I made in 1024x1024 then sized down... I completed that one second to last but It took too much time so I didnt do that for the thorn (last one that I finished).

Are you crazy? Forcing people to work at 512x512 is retarded, and such a resolution is unneeded to work on in the first place

I would have to agree with SuPa- honestly... It makes legit things seem fake unless you work in 512x512 the entire time... I think having people post a PSD would be better or even making people work in 128x128. And I know you said you are making exceptions but thats really not fair to some people (like me) when others get to work in their element when I have to work with lemons.

Burning Wheel of Flames

Here is my model, called Burning Wheel of Flames. It is my first icon, and maybe not as good as it could be. If there is any changes I could make please tell me so that i can improve it. It was made from scratch using the GIMP (had a skin and simply colored the whole thing white to start).

BTW, how do I add an image from my computer so that you can see it without downloading the file? When I click attach file, it only gives me the option of putting a URL?
