Exo looked around and smiled "oooh? swords made of flame, you'd think i had enough to eat from the fire around us but... I'd like to eat those to, they look tasty." he then tried to suck up the flames from the swords.

OOC: i guess this does need a check since its an assault on those guys weapons.

 

[Crazy Cow]

"Kryn, champion of the Goddess Llilic," he said. He watched the spectacle of the human - he had called himself a Dragon Warrior - eating fire for a moment, then turned back to Elvor.
"What is this thing here?" he asked, gesturing at the runed crystal lying in the rubble. "It looks important, but I have no idea what it is."

Kryn whipped around to face the shadow creature. A monster made out of shadow demanding the surrender of a Darkstone couldn't be good, so he prepared to fight.

OOC: the fire sucking had no effect. This seemed not to be fire at all...

"Surrender!" the leader said sharply.

Elvor looked around.
"The Darkstone?"
Without further noticed, he put one of his hands on the stone and launched a wave of water at the dark creatures.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

Realising her 'guardian' wouldn't be waking up anytime soon, Alyssia took a position behind the mage and dragon warrior, seeing as they were putting up some kind of resistance. Although to her credit she held her fists up, she looked far from ready for a fight.

 

[The World Is Flat]

The creature vanished for a moment, like he let is being float away, and the he reappeared after the wave of water passed.

"Resistance is futile." He said calmly. "Now, GIVE ME THE STONE!"

 

[Crazy Cow]

Kryn snarled and lunged at the lead shadow, lashing out at it with his claws.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Give him the stone?", suggested Alyssia, obviously ignorant to it's importance.

 

[Phoonix]

Exo also prepared for battle transforming his left hand into a dragon claw and drawing his koursum sword whit his right engulfing it in his most powerful flames (his golden flames) he then covered the rest of his body whit light dragon scales and the shot an inferno of flames out of his mouth at the creatures. "DRAGONS BREATH!"

 

[Dragonson]

Elvor laughed.
"Resistance is never futile.
A friend once told me that, and i tend to agree with him."
Still with his hand on the stone, he channeled the stone's power into a shielding spell.

 

[Gyrosphinx]

Shurg suddenly woke up. He could see his companions and a newcomer facing three sinister entities. He grabbed his axe and stood up. He walked in beside Alyssia and snarled.

Kryn's claws passed through the creature like he was just a shadow.

Exo:

As the flames shot towards one, he lifted his plam and the stram of fire was reflected back... towaards elvor.


OOC:

Elvor's Shield burst around the party, sparking and fluttering with power.

Alyssia beamed as the Ramorughaur lumbered to her side, her pose began to radiate confidence. "Fight?", she asked of him, still relatively puzzled.

OOC: You mean make sure were not using powers etc we don't have ?

P.S. + EDIT: What is all this 'Damn ninjas!", "You got epic Ninja'd!", I don't understand! Will someone please enlighten me?

"Who the hell are these guys?" Shurg said, searching his mind for any memories he might have. He lifted his axe and roared, then charged one of them.

It seemed that Kryn wouldn't be able to do much against these creatures with his claws. He racked his mind, hoping to find a useful Blood Spell hidden away he could use. Even while he did this, he picked up a piece of rubble and threw it at the shadow creature.

OOC: Guys, i just shielded us.
I don't think you wanna leave that shield.

Now with a protective barrier up, Elvor searched his mind, trying to find out if he knew anything about these creatures or had read about them in books.

 

[Phoonix]

OOC: oh so then the flame will just hit the shield and perish... NVM my post then.

IC: "you water mage, we should go and take that stone whit us. i don't think e can beat these things right now." he looks at Elvor whit a serious face.

Alyssia watched the shield flicker into existence. She liked it, it was pretty, unlike most of the magic she had seen in her life, most of which had been in the last cycle of the sun...

"Need me?", she asked of anyone.

 

[Crazy Cow]

Kryn quickly scurried into the protective barrier Elvor had created.
"What can you do?" he asked the Kyrrin.

 

[Gyrosphinx]

Shurg stopped midway between his last position and his opponent. He noticed the magic barrier, and decided he would fight defensive this time.

You can faintly remember somthing liek the beasts... Shadows they are called you can recall... almost invincible, they can teleport... they are unaturally strong, and have a natural ability to resist and breach magic... you know theres more... but you can't seem to recall.

Elvor instantly realzed what they were, and it was not good. Shadows were dark being mage up of concentrated Jaal Magic. They were the epitomy of darkness. in addition to what the Monster hunter knew, Elvor also knew that they could fly, and that once they picked a target, they could find it from anywhere... He aslo knew that these being only served beings of sufficent prospcet for power, so their enemy was extrmely powerful. He knew that the flames were acually called hellfyr a form of demonic essence that rued over all fire, andd could cause anything it touched to desintigrate....

OOC: em flat i already canceled that since i didn't know elvor made that barrier, now that he did there was no need for me to suck the flame back. it would just scatter on the shield.

"They're Shadows!" Shurg suddenly remembered something. He had encountered one a long time ago, and he had wished to never see them again. "They're almost invincible, unnaturally strong, they teleport and they resist magic. I don't know if they have weaknesses at all!" He looked slightly more worried, but he was determined to stand his ground.

 

[Crazy Cow]

"I don't think we can do anything against them right now. Perhaps we should wait for your dragon, Elvor."

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Umm... I...", she struggled for the words. Folding her arms, she screwed up her face, trying to think of some way to explain...

"Move, quick? Throw... spear?", she got out, indicating her strengths, piercing the lizard with an icy stare, there was something about him...

 

[Phoonix]

EXO "eh nono, that wont do you any good, as you see my magic is completely the same as a dragons. if i can't hit them a dragon won't be able to either. water mage, we should create a smoke screen and make a run for it. and girl we are grateful for your help but i don't think physical attacks won't work either."

 

[Dragonson]

Kryn threw the Kyrrin a puzzled glance.
"Are you alright?" he asked. She seemed to be having trouble talking, or she was talking to him like a baby. Either one called for his attention.

Alyssia nodded, her expression plain. Edging slightly closer to the Ramorughaur.

Shurg noticed the Kyrrin moving closer to him, and clutched his axe to his chest, determined to stand his ground. "We'll manage..." He said, as much to himself as to anyone else.

The beings were running short on temper.

The leader walked through the shield like nothing... and in a flash so quick no one could see it... the being grabbd Alyssa and put the flickering flames to within an inch of her throat.

Kryn had sudden inspiration. If the group of adventurers couldn't hurt the shadow creature, then perhaps they could hurt themselves.
Praying that the shadow creatures didn't have exceptionally strong minds, Kryn prepared to cast a berserk spell on the lead shadow. He pulled a scale off his arm, midway between his wrist and elbow, and then pushed a clawed thumb into his arm. Ignoring the pain and the red blood welling up from the cut, he formed the words in his mind and then started chanting them.

OOC:
Spell check, please? I'm trying to drive the shadow berserk; it will become physically stronger if it works, but will attack everything in sight, including it's fellows.

 

[Gyrosphinx]

Shurg swirled around and brought his axe at lightning speed towards the Shadow's wrist. "You don't hurt her!"

 

[Dragonson]

Elvor, guessing Kryn's intent, quickly cast a spell to move Alyssa away from the shadow.

Alyssia choked, struggling to breathe against the shadow's surprisingly material grip.

Elvors spell Pulled Alyssa out of the shadow's grasp and back into the shield. However, the creature shot in again, and this time teleported out of the shield... placing the sowrd closer to Alyssa Neck.

"Try somthing... And i will kill her. And it will be painful... very painful..."
