Oh, It's quite annoying that every backup disrupts the site's operation.

Check out the latest version of the site!

The new Chat looks cool :) I love the font you used. I just didn't like how small the text/chat box was where you type your messages :*( do you think you can make it a little bit longer? Also, what is the reason you give users the option to join the main lobby? Why not just have them join automatically?

This is the default behavior of XenForo, sorry. If something seems really stupid, we can fix it, but this is the way forward if you ask the whole internet.

Well I took a look again and this is what happen:
- Initially all are ok, the big 'SignUp button, new posts, new profile posts, forum statistics are in the right half panel.
- When I zoom in slightly, those objects in the right half panel got moved below after the 'Repositories' section. The forum brief description are still visible as well as the latest post in each forum
- When I zoom in further, the brief descriptions and latest posts of each forum is no longer visible. The only description I see is the time when the latest post is posted as well as Bundle numbers and comment count in the Repositories.
I don't see how this is way forward since I also ended up panning to see the forum statistics which was originally in the RHP and some information disappear.

Please re-read the first post:
Do this while ignoring the setup of repositories. Right now the repositories are set up in a way I thought was interesting. When doing the final import of the site each resource section will become a repository.

It uses MySQL FULLTEXT just like this site does, but there is an addon we can install that I am planning on getting that uses ElasticSearch (Google it). It should be a lot better.

You know when you should be finished in moving the site once the members type the "Hiveworkshop.com" It should redirect to the new site then.

How about some other links stored on the previous Hiveworkshop? Like wc3 sear > Hiveworkshop > Roflmania (Replace it to Hiveworkshop)

I find this Beta Test for the Hive 2 very interesting! Modern, fast, and awesome btw much more to WC3 campaign but this one is much better, specially the costumization of the site
It's nice to see this new versionof the hive, but still need more adds I suppose )

Edit : I think we could use an Exp bar for Reputation (instead of points) for the Hive 2 and maybe adding new costum UI like Orcs, Undead UI, make it appear like warcraft UI. E.g : A clock above, Some constante...etc
Anyway, hope this Hive 2 Beta will turn out to be good! Good Luck :D

The new site will become hiveworkshop.com. Did you think we would keep roflmania.com? :D

Please, please, please, can we, can we?

lol, jk.

I like it. The look is nice and the forums will be the same, right? I didn't notice any problems or anything I didn't like. Can we have sections for Simple Spells, character templates, OE Spells, Simple Edits, etc?

I am not sure what this has to do with Hive 2. This is mostly about the technical aspects.
It could always come later.

Teccnical aspects:

Pastebin won't load w3x files. Likely others.
I like the old/current forum titles "spells, models, etc" being available on the top of each page.
Resource display was a bit odd with the cover image on top. Resource being side-by-side with the image would make more sense.

Was there anything more specific we should be looking at?

Will the model viewer be available?

Also, when I uploaded an icon, it required the blp file in both BTN and DISBTN. I know it's silly but since button manager is so easy, why not have a server-side version that will just make them for the uploader?

I think that these types of tools set the hive above all other sites. That and collective knowledge of its members.

I have a minor visual and thematic concern. I might be the only one, but I'll share it anyways: The predominant color in Hive 2 is Dark Gray, while in here it's a color I don't know the name of. Screenshot comparison:

Of course, this is a minor thing, but the current color gives me a cozy and familiar feel. The darker one feels colder and... it's like it's not Hive anymore.
I'd love it if we maintain the current color theme.

This is a configuration thing. The beta site is a 'stock setup', we can always add more file extensions.

As I have said previously, this can easily be added.
Resource display was a bit odd with the cover image on top. Resource being side-by-side with the image would make more sense.
This is where the system is much more different. When you upload a resource, a so-called bundle is created. A bundle can contain multiple resources. When you press Edit, you can add more resources after submitting the first. Bundles contains screenshots and you can set a default one (for the bundle listing page) and you have a collection of them inside the bundle. Screenshots are not connected to the resources, but resources may have their own automatic images such as texture preview, icon preview and map minimap.
Was there anything more specific we should be looking at?

It is.

This is on my list. It won't make it for release, but I definitely want to do this. If you want to help, I would very much like Photoshop-esque layers to put on top of the stock image so I can automatically generate this.

Hmm. We are planning on adding more themes. Perhaps one of those will be more cozy. I am not planning on doing anything to the theme aside from fixing bugs and adding back the advertisements, donate and twitter buttons. After the release, we can look more into this.

Would you like me to try to do this on different platforms? I have Chrome, firefox, a tablet running android, and an iphone with safari. Would any of that help?

I can make the photoshop layers. PNG files I am assuming, but what about the blp files? Would they be get merged by a server-side application? Oh wait ... The layers must already exist in Button Manager.

Do you mean like this?

Consensus: Nerf emoticons.

Different platforms? I would just like PNG layers I can add on a stock icon to make the BTN, DISBTN, PAS, DISPAS versions.

In particular:
For BTN, it would contain the border. Simle.
DISBTN would contain a specific dark shade and complete blackness around the edges so even a BTN could be converted to a DISBTN.
For PAS, it would be similar to DISBTN but lighter.
DISPAS is the same as DISBTN I believe.

Well. The thing about the emoticons is that it uses the emoticon database from XenForo. When we move, we will bring out emoticons too. Point is, it's data, not hardcoded.

Re: Chat

Different platforms referred to the chat. Sorry for mixing that together. I could try it out on different devices and different web browsers if needed.

Re: Icons

The image in the previous post is a .png of the border with a transparent center. If this is what you want then I can make them for DISBTN, PAS, ATC, ATT, UPG and SSC. The regular ones will be easy. The disable one might be slightly tricky because I'm not sure how to find it. I will just have to experiment until it looks right.

Looking good! I do however think that UPG and ATT need black around them. But very nice. Do they have the proper transparency and all?
I think the transparent parts show up as black in TFT. I don't know how it would work here since it will just get layered over an image. Some server side program would have to shrink the uploaded image to the size of the frame for those ones to fit. This goes for the SSH one too.

They are all transparent as you can see, but when they get loaded to the pastbin they get labeled as jpgs. I'm not sure I know why this is, but I assume that you do and can get the originals. If you need me to, I could put them in a .zip.

All content will be moved to the new site and the old site will disappear. The new site will have the same domain name.
