I will probably figure out a better way to backup the new site, so to your answer yes, but will you notice it? The plan is no.

Check out the latest version of the site!
That's the point. There is no room for it all next to each other.
This is the default behavior of XenForo, sorry. If something seems really stupid, we can fix it, but this is the way forward if you ask the whole internet.
Do this while ignoring the setup of repositories. Right now the repositories are set up in a way I thought was interesting. When doing the final import of the site each resource section will become a repository.
Yes.
I am not sure we are set in stone about that yet. We are focusing on everything needed to actually move the site.
The new site will become hiveworkshop.com. Did you think we would keep roflmania.com?![]()
I like it. The look is nice and the forums will be the same, right? I didn't notice any problems or anything I didn't like. Can we have sections for Simple Spells, character templates, OE Spells, Simple Edits, etc?
It could always come later.I am not sure what this has to do with Hive 2. This is mostly about the technical aspects.
This is a configuration thing. The beta site is a 'stock setup', we can always add more file extensions. It could always come later.
Teccnical aspects:
Pastebin won't load w3x files. Likely others.
As I have said previously, this can easily be added.I like the old/current forum titles "spells, models, etc" being available on the top of each page.
This is where the system is much more different. When you upload a resource, a so-called bundle is created. A bundle can contain multiple resources. When you press Edit, you can add more resources after submitting the first. Bundles contains screenshots and you can set a default one (for the bundle listing page) and you have a collection of them inside the bundle. Screenshots are not connected to the resources, but resources may have their own automatic images such as texture preview, icon preview and map minimap.Resource display was a bit odd with the cover image on top. Resource being side-by-side with the image would make more sense.
The chat would be nice. Was there anything more specific we should be looking at?
It is.Will the model viewer be available?
This is on my list. It won't make it for release, but I definitely want to do this. If you want to help, I would very much like Photoshop-esque layers to put on top of the stock image so I can automatically generate this. Also, when I uploaded an icon, it required the blp file in both BTN and DISBTN. I know it's silly but since button manager is so easy, why not have a server-side version that will just make them for the uploader?
I think that these types of tools set the hive above all other sites. That and collective knowledge of its members.
I have a minor visual and thematic concern. I might be the only one, but I'll share it anyways: The predominant color in Hive 2 is Dark Gray, while in here it's a color I don't know the name of. Screenshot comparison:

Of course, this is a minor thing, but the current color gives me a cozy and familiar feel. The darker one feels colder and... it's like it's not Hive anymore.
I'd love it if we maintain the current color theme.

I think the transparent parts show up as black in TFT. I don't know how it would work here since it will just get layered over an image. Some server side program would have to shrink the uploaded image to the size of the frame for those ones to fit. This goes for the SSH one too.Looking good! I do however think that UPG and ATT need black around them. But very nice. Do they have the proper transparency and all?
Why they are two home tabs, and how can I rate a thread?
Also, I don't understand this, when you comment on your profile message sended by another user is it like posting on his personal profile? Well, I know he recieve notification tho
Btw, I was wondering what will happen to the original Hive Workshop site (this) when the hive beta test is finished?
All content will be moved to the new site and the old site will disappear. The new site will have the same domain name.
