Battle between universes V.0.2.2

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Global mod on classic map "Crossroads" with the expansion of the main races and the addition of new race of different universe.. The choice of race is carried out through the initial town hall. Currently there are the following race:
Alliance: High Elves (WoW), Space Marines (WH40K)
Horde: CIS (Star Wars), Galactic Empire (Star Wars), Mordor (Lord of the Rings), Isengard (Lord of the Rings)
Undead: Zerg (Starcraft)
Night Elves: Naga (WoW)
The platform at the bottom of the map is used to test units in the map editor. You can do staged battles there through the editor if you want. In the editor you will find many units of not yet ready factions. Pit Burning Legion against WH40k Chaos or WH40K Eldar against SC2 Protoss. I tried to make the units + as they appear according to data from Wikipedia and other sources
I'm developing the map alone, so many things may seem unfinished. Since this map is a hobby for me, I return to its development from time to time and make various changes. Now I'm trying to improve what the playable races already have. If you go to the map editor, you will see a huge selection of units that are part of the races that I may add in the future.

Map language ENG/RU. ENG at the moment only partially but in the process of translation, too much needs to be translated, and I’m alone :confused:
I try to create units based on data from Wiki and other sources. So the unit sizes on my map are often what they should be

For strange reasons, when starting workers are converted into new ones, they lose the ability to build. Therefore, I made the starting workers of the new factions simply resource miners. The normal ones need to be produced from the town hall yourself. I will try to make the miners more distinctive in color so as not to confuse players

You may be surprised by the armor numbers of some units. I have my own logic for calculating armor, which is based on the details of the armor and their quality. Every shoulder pad, helmet, etc. gives his piece of armor.
The types of attack and armor have also undergone changes. Armor types are divided into: Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Cavalry, Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Buildings, Heroes and Divine.

Update 0.1.8:
I planned to make it a little later, but the previous version had a lot of problems and I needed to intervene quickly.
Changes:

  • Balance edits (mainly for nagas)
  • Many description adjustments
  • Updated some icons for better consistency
  • The most important thing is the translation of most units of playable races into English. I'll translate the rest later. Where it is convenient, I also left the RU translation and made the description in 2 languages for the convenience of everyone
Update 0.1.9.1:
  • Fixed several problems, such as AA Azhara.
  • Almost everything has been translated into English. The main playable content has been translated almost completely.
  • Some balance edits
  • Some heroes have been changed, new models, voice acting, and skills have been added. For example Kael'thas, Lich King, Kerrigan, Azhara, Alleria, Verissa.
  • Changed the music of each faction to familiar compositions from WoW.
  • Something else I forgot about

    Update 0.2.1:
    • Added Isengard (LotR). Still in a rather raw state. To select Isengard, start for the Horde.
    • Mordor has been heavily changed.
    • Added new units to some factions, such as AT-M6 in GI.
    • Various balance changes
    • Continued translation into English.
    • Zerg drones now die when building a building as they should
    • Maybe I forgot to mention something

    • Update 0.2.2:
    • - Updating some models to better quality. Zargs now fly apart into pieces after death.
      • Some balance changes
      • Some fixes for shortcomings in the form of units that are in the wrong faction, or incorrect ability icons
      • Added music from WH40k DoW

The last point requires triggers that I try not to get into. I'll try to do the first in the next patch. With icons, alas, I try to select suitable ones if the set for the model did not have its own icon. But I'll try to look for more suitable ones. Do you understand how huge the list of models is in this map? I will finish listing all the authors by the time I die in reality.

In fact,u can get lots of resources in here, such as queen azshara's icon,just search in it,u can get one available icon.

Ok I test newest version,I play naga,it seems works well generally,I just advice modify iilidan's name,u have azshara as queen,its unsuitable for him as a "ruler".Btw,I find azshara's ss need lvl 16,and ai human have 10+ armor,but arch mage have only 3,is it intentional?

Azshara's ultimate is the strongest at the moment, so it requires lvl 16, this is normal because if the naga delays the game until this point, most likely she will win, N'zoth released into the enemy base will cause chaos there. The armor of the units was redone by me in such a way that every piece of armor on the body gives n-armor. And the higher quality it is in terms of material and appearance, the more armor there is. Although I’m looking now and I missed the fact that the new model of the archmage has shoulder pads and in general he is more protected than the original. I'll buff him in the next update. It's hard to explain but the fact that Footman has a lot of armor is correct, he still loses, in a duel with Grunt. OK,ur idea of armor is interesting.I test high elves.I suggest delete some units,they use same icon,and dont have huge distinction.(such as rider and knight).and the ranger need more suitable skill.Last,why azshara and Kerrigan cant speak?

Among the basic voice-overs there are no suitable ones for them. But I don’t know how to create sound patterns. I think I'll delete High Elf Rider. I'll review my skills with the ranger

You may have noticed that elves have evasion. I gave all elves this skill because I believe that their life expectancy should matter and their combat experience is clearly higher than that of humans.

О, для этого вам не нужен триггер, просто импортируйте ресурс и позвольте Азшаре использовать соответствующий голос.
This would ruin the Horde's Shadow Hunter voice acting, wouldn't it?

Updated: I replaced the voice acting of the regular SH with Rohan and added your voice acting for Azshara, indicating a path similar to the path of SH. Thank you I listed you in the list of model authors

Some units are too huge and cover too much of the screen. Balance is quite off, some are too strong and take too much food.
Zerg don't act like zerg. Drones can build more than one building. Larvae appear on top of each other and have to be manually created, units don't play how they should etc.

Overall quite chaotic and with little to no scripted stuff.

Simple.

I have already said that I do not use triggers, scripts or tables. Only the basic component of the game. Units are huge because that is their +-actual size. They cost a lot of food to balance them out relative to the base factions, otherwise they would have to make their cost in gold and wood higher, which would lead to boring gameplay. Well, the fact that the balance is chaotic is so obvious because I am the only one who does this and essentially tests it on bots.

In SW, AT-DP and AT-ST will perform similar roles in the realities of SW, AT-DP is more of a patrol walker, and AT-ST is an assault walker. On the map it is done this way, DP has more visibility and firing radius, ST has more DPS. AT-AT is huge because, excuse me, it’s a 22-meter walker. I do it with an emphasis on logic and relative realism, even if it’s strange in the realities of RTS

The research center is not finished yet, and in general these factions are raw and I introduced them into the game for the entertainment of players. Over time, I will improve them. The map is raw and I do not deny it, but there is an idea in it and someone may like it.

With Drone in the next patch the problem of constructing multiple buildings will be solved


If you play against a bot, you need to take into account that he does not use more than 100 food. Therefore, either you play a fair game with him and also do not use more than 100 food, or you play against 3+ bots. In this case, the new factions will not look as unbalanced as you might think.

just find its update,I remember when I played last version,computer's hero can not learn skill even,led to the game a bit boring,I want to know whether this bug had been solved?
BTW,spawning ground and naga royal guard dont have English description

As for the problems with AI, I myself am trying in every way to figure out such moments and why the Alliance does not want to enter Tier 3. And the description will be corrected in the next patch
