Alteraci Dream


This map is a beta version of a campaign I started quite some time ago. Personally, I've always liked the way it's designed and the Alterac/Syndicate faction itself. After recovering a backup copy from my PC, I decided to share it here in its entirety to encourage others to create their own Alterac campaigns, at least with a base set of units already established.
I don't recall working extensively on unique spells, but there should be at least one modified ability. Either way, it's a beautifully crafted map that I'm now making available for anyone who wants to explore it!

    For me, this is a great map that, in the right hands, could become something even better. Unfortunately, it lacks both an opening and closing cutscene, but it has everything else. I invite anyone to take a look and let me know what they think!

It's a template for a campaign introduction. It's fully playable... except that it doesn't have cutscenes.
Alright. Then it shouldn't be a template as the point of such a map is not to be played but rather used as terrain or basis for a project rather than have mappers continue someone else's project.

The hero is a Garithos clones.
Scout Tower apparently would upgrade to the human Cannon or Guard towers.
Sergeant and Bandit have the same icon.
The knight can't be trained due to not having a castle upgrade. Same with the Animal War Training.
There's an enemy rabbit in the undead zone past the human adversary base.
Highway Sergeants have a training limit.
Apparently there is no way to pass through the bridge to the yellow humans as there's pathing blockers.

It's unfinished (the map, not the campaign), there's some action fighting the other humans and exploring the nice terrain but that's kind of it.
Too bad. A nice start.

Simple.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
