Just curious, with Wazzz's race selector, where are the AlteredMeleeStartingUnits and AlteredMeleeInitVictoryDefeat functions defined? Am I really just that blind? Haha, never mind. Saw they are in the map header!

i was about to join when suddenly, Lordkoon's techtree looks like my techtree. Can i still join?

AND here's my review for Lordkoon's techtree:
-> You used a human techtree.
-> The icons doesn't resemble/look like the model
-> The Research in your war tree... it should be "Research" not upgrade. Otherwise it will upgrade itself.
-> Pretty sure that your ancients are not eco-friendly (your harvester killed the trees)
-> The Ancients are supposed to use some sort of harvest gold and lumber (wisp)... because they resemble night elves

So... I guess we can have the same models and same race name but different techtree =P...
Also my techtree has a twist. Can I join in?

Sorry to bump in, but:
About the cutting trees thing, thats a good point of view but here's another, the ancients are using the trees to create(mix/merge) new building and units. It makes sense. And Lordkoon, i like the regeneration of buildings ability that food building has.

About the wisps, As i see from the screen shot he's not using workers/slaves, its a type of wisp/energy/magic fly lol .
And ancients dont resemble night elves, in fact elves resemble this symbiosis with the ancients, and draw their power from them. :/

And to answer your question, i think it doesnt matter if it looks similar, what i know u need are WIPS(work in progress pics). And the final submission.
Also, great work so far guys this is gonna be one of the best techtree contest . I'll make sure to check dem all submissions ^_^

Don't try to describe what my ideas are. I am using human techtree? I don't even understand that. It's all based off night elven buildings for easy access to me. Most icons are subject to the models submited here on the hive. And knight26 explained exactly my point of view about the ancients. Surely they have nothing to do with night elves.

AND here's my final submission. Sorry, but i'm just putting here a few of the functions of the ancient race. I'm running out of time, so I made the soul crystal a super unit!

The Ancients are a race that feeds off the nature around them. They harvest gold much slower than the other races but mostly need lumber. As the trees sacrifice themselves in the new war they allow the Ancients to rebuild their home and expand their forces.
The treants focus on using mine-like seeds that deal damage to enemies and heal allies while revealing a wide area around them.
Spirits of the forest will heal the army and the structures and aid the cause.

The super unit is the Old One. A massive treant with immense power capable of turning the tide of the battle and being able to raze whole cities very quickly.
