OOC: It isnt written in it...I am commenting on the connections..using the book as a guide of the past history (the 1st assault on Hegroth), and commenting with what I have learned (present day).
IC: Elenai continued his train of thought, and deduction.
"The incident...It is well known that Hegroth is a very devout, inventive, and high people..but this can lead to haughty pride...Hegroth is also well known for placing birth rights, legacies, and noble blood above that of the common people...The caste system is very strict, and the gaps are huge...You have Royalty, and nobles..Those with Legacies, The Clergy of Larissa, and the lowly peasantry.
It was during the second assault, in the early years...about ten years ago, when Arrillion assaulted Hegroth, That the Celestial Elves first began to pay attention.
The Celestial Elves were ignoring this war amongst humanity..thinking it didnt effect them, that we were too high above the earth to be effected by the undead, even if our god tells us to destroy the undead...But it was the nearly successful assault on Hegroth, that turned the Silverstar council's gaze towards the surface, and our watch was placed...It was only until recently, that we sensed that this was not just some random undead outcrop, but a wave..And I was sent to find its scource.
It was of course..the Black Tome, and its power that drove Arrillion to assault Hegroth...for what I know not...but it was the controversial tactics of a strategist, that saved Hegroth...By sending the Elite noble knights into battle, he saved hundreds of peasant militia...doomed to die, and his government stripped him of his legacy, and exiled him...The land has forgotten who he was, but the Celestial Elves knew what saved Hegroth, and it was the tactics of this man...though even we do not know his name.
It was his plan, that drove a dozen knights to their noble deaths against a tide of undead...luckily, this was before Arrillion had grown into a more powerful creature...the one I faced and barely survived..Had he been at the level I faced..Hegroth would be lost, and the Human realm destroyed, and the Celestial Elves would have fled from Ashen, fore we use the human nations as a buffer, and to keep us secret...But with the human nations removed, Arrillion would have struck the Elven nations, and they have knowledge of our existence...though limited, and nigh erased...they have it none the less...
We also kept an eye on Hegroth...for being inventive, they may someday in the next hundred or so years create airships, that can reach us...and we were ready to stop them if they should...But they have not yet done so, and their technology has halted its growth, their nation turned inward by caste strife.
They have limited magic...aside from the power of Larissa, but they do have excellent soldiers..."
OOC: The map is?
I also think that with the length of the posts, and the amount of stuff in it, we should seperate the IC from the rest of the stuff...perhaps like I have with color...but I think we need a better way to do so that color..
