Welcome to Trenches Commander!
Your Job here is to crush the enemy.
Beware of Deserters who may attack you.

You start with a Dropsite where you can train units.

The Dropsite is where you train:

Field Engineers - Primary Worker

Soldier- Primary Infantry

Officer- Support Unit

Flamer - Effective against Clusters\]


There are 3 Types of Resources, these are,

Gold - The Basic Material, Used to fund everything

Metal - Can be found In Metal Ores and Crystals, used to Construct Vehicles and Structures.


Radio Tower - Main support structure

Factory - Mechanical Units Production

Chlorine Lab - Produces Chlorine Units

Power Plant - Produces Warp-Related Units

Depot - Storage

Dropsite - Secondary Dropsite

Artillery - Longer Range than Mortar Tanks

Tank - Main Attacker, Effective against Infantry, Relatively Cheap

Mortar Tank - Main Artillery, Can station to get Range and Damage boost.

Anti-Air Tank - Anti-Air, Powerful against Zeppelins

Flamer Tank - Effective against Clusters

Zeppelins - Main Air, drops Bombs on enemies.

Warp Tank - Prototype, Able to Warp in And Out of Combat


[Expect Bug Fixes and Updates, Upgrades, and More in the Future and you may notice some resources are currently not used as these are for the future]

Mechanical Man - Gatling Gun, Test Factory

There's still crediting to be done: Resources in use by Trenches

  1. Problem is that there's no random start location and the game gets repetitive quickly. There's also a lot of empty space on the sides, works if you don't want to engage the deserters.
  2. Trench's hotkey T doesn't work.
  3. Barbed Wire should have a passive ability looking icon. You can make it so with: Button Manager v1.8.2
  4. Weirdly, trenches act like bunkers that can hide troops in and attack enemies from a long distance.
  5. Lumber's name and icon should be changed to metal/ore on the UI.
  6. Factory's selection circle is invisible. Same with Power Plant
  7. Some units attack by themselves from a big distance. Do they have a huge target acquisition range?
  8. Cholrine gas doesn't say how much damage it deals and stuff. Doesn't even say what range it has.
  9. Warp should be distanced based not simply teleport anywhere on the map instantly. Something like the Chrono Trooper's movement in Red Alert 2.
For now it's a bit too simple and chaotic. Maybe add some more factions, game modes.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
