You begin this adventure as a soul. A soul destined to find the body of a hero. Is it... Opex? The blademaster of legends! Yet.. you are merely a rookie. A rookie without meaning or purpose. Without any grasp of where you came from or where you're going to. Yet you feel the urge to venture. You find RedKeys to open up new pathways. You get stronger to access new waygates. You discover new towns and villages. You meet new friends. You meet new foes.
Along your journey you discover the one who brought you into the dimension. It is again, Medivh! After all he put us through in "Opex's Journey" and in "Journey Through Twisted Meadows". And what does he want? He wants us to REVIVE HIM!
As the story unfolds, your new friend Rune is seemingly murdered right before your eyes by an evil being named Zio. We must follow after Zio and bring our friend back to life!


There are many memorable characters from previous games in the series such as; Medivh, Opex, Twilight, Rune, and many more coming in future Acts! This is the third and final map in the series.

There is so much to do, averaging around 6-7 hours on release day November 8th 2025
Act I is a complete first installment, with future Acts II & III in the works

The maze doesn't help with fog of war on. You can simply check where the lever and rolling door are. Twilight's animations froze after casting the ability to break the trees. Keys should be variables not to occupy inventory space. A grind fest but...
A credits list in the map description with the names of the authors whose resources you've used is mandatory. That includes models, skins, icons, custom spells, systems. Also, sounds, music and everything outside this site.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to check out the map!

I have now created a credits list in the post. I will implement into the map, not sure if i can fit a whole credits list in the map description of the map but will put in a credits list in the optional quests tab. Thanks for giving me the list of credits, because it would be rough to figure that all out on my own! Hope I satisfied your terms! The map is a finished product, Act I is complete, taking over 6 hours to complete with many months of development and fixing bugs to finally make it to release day. As first release, it is a complete game, I will be adding to it over the coming months and years Act II and Act III, most likely taking 30-50 hours to complete when all is said and done.
 
After talking to Hahn in Miles and then talking to big giant about his book, quest is mentioning Faerie tiara and mountains to the southwest.. How to get there?

Hi Grimbo, thanks for the time checking out the new map! Southwest of Miles is a waygate to the bottom of the mountains. Just walk from miles, go left, before the gate there will be an area to go southwest and there is a waygate there. You are just starting the really cool chapters in ACT I. Good luck and have fun!
 
Found a bug. If u kill an enemy with finger of death they will not respawn. Another annoying thing is constant cam resets when u use teleport or circle of power to move around the map. And the unique flaming sword that u got earlier in the map, that supposedly gives 100 dmg, fire effect and ability to attack air gives 120 dmg instead. Once I found Zio, and since I am unable to even walk into attack range to strike him before he wipes me, what am I suppsoed to do next?

Thanks for reporting those flaws. I may switch out finger of death for a different skill if I can't figure it out. The cam resets are annoying I agree, I think I can figure out an alternative method. Now the Fire Sword for sure does fire damage, it is just very low. I'll see why the damage isn't adding up properly. Thanks again for letting me know!

Hey, just saw that you edited your comment. After Zio defeats you, go through the circle of power where you fought him and you will talk with Medivh.
 
First of, really nice solo rpg map. I do found a bug that makes you able to kill Zio and prevents the story from progressing. After you get acid bomb, when you fight Zio, you throw the acid bomb, while it travel, immediately step into the circle of power and teleport back to the previous screen, Zio takes the damage but will not chase you since you teleport away. After a few times, Zio will die and the story will not be able to progress as the second circle of power will not appear.

Hey Reimu, thanks for playing and letting me know about the bug! I will certainly try to fix that.

Thanks for approving the map! Not sure how twilights animations froze, I've played around 50 times and that has never happened to me, maybe with reforged graphics? I don't really want to put the keys as variables, I want it to be obvious that you need the item to hold a slot to use to progress. It is very grindy, and it's by design. I'm not the best map maker as I really have zero knowledge of jass or anything really. I don't even really understand multiboards or variables. But for someone who barely understands how to setup an email account, I know this game is developed with my highest level of intricacy and ability and desire for greatness. So for someone with 1/10 knowledge of how to do anything, I believe that this product can compete with those who have 90% custom skins, abilities, jass, variables, etc. Mainly because I play these "well developed games" and find them to have terrible playability and find them extremely boring. Anyway, I will try to keep working on this map, I really enjoy it and I know others will too.
