Skirmish at the Border v1.3

Map Description
This map a AoS/MOBA type of map. There are 2 teams, each with 1 base and 4 heroes.

The player at the base must upgrade troops and build shops for heroes. Heroes must earn gold for the base by killing creeps and enemies and buy items for points (from kills).

The goal of the map is to destroy the enemy base.

Features

  • 2 Game Modes: Random Heroes and Factions.
  • 18 heroes: 6 hero of each side(with his faction( only in Faction Mode!)), 3 unique heroes for Random Heroes Mode, and 3 secret hero(can be selected in Random Heroes mode, to select them in Faction Mode, you need to find the code).
  • One line but with neutral camp in the middle of the map.
  • Camps to capture, to increase the income of bases.
  • On bases works AI, but simple, builds shops and income, also research upgrades.

Quite a fresh take on the AoS genre with more strategy involved. However, I feel some abilities could be less like the original ones. Some text is in Cyrillic especially in hero abilities. Approved. If you want more reviews, you should participate...
Hi, we played the map today, quite interesting!

What I noticed:
1. Lumber Mills (the ones that cost 600g) were pretty much useless, we had a lot of lumber. But Gold Mines were useful.
2. There is no orb of fire and no orb of lightning? It's needed in recipes.
3. One of the human army camps (the one with the captain) couldn't be rescued.
4. There's no way to revive base player hero? It would be nice to have one expensive option that takes like 2 minutes.
5. Base player gains no points. Can't buy items or summon the army using the army shop guard, or repair the towers (circles).
6. It would be nice to have more unit upgrades, it's max 5 now. Or some special abilities for units that can be unlocked for a very expensive price, like 8000 gold 80k lumber.

1. I'll think about it.
2. In the center of the map there is a secret shop (well, not really), where they are sold.
3. Camps(with circle) are capture points, they serve as a teleportation point and as a fountain.
4. At the beginning of the game I even write a warning that they are disposable and need to be taken care of. But I will think about their long revive.
5. Only heroes can get points, so the base doesn't get them, for balance :) Base can already build armies in the barracks (and reinforced ones at that) and summon armies with Hero first ability. Base can also repair towers, but not fort ones.
6. Hm, maybe make 10 upgrades then?:)

  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
