Race of Gold

Capture and hold control points to earn resources over time. The first player or team to reach the gold limit, wins. Each player will have a hero and access to a shop full of units, with various capabilities. The map will reset after the limit is reached for multiple rounds. Chat commands can be found in the quest log, in game.

When I wasn't even double digits years old, I discovered the editor and had eventually made (The Race Of Gold v2.3). I decided to take a little bit a time revamp it, mostly for nostalgia. My spelling and grammar have come a long way since 2008, so hopefully most of that has been fixed up. Past that, the map was more of an introduction to coding and stuff for myself. I made the terrain a little grassy and made one of the (all ready) available weather effects show/happen at the start of the game.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
