And to my knowledge no one has submitted anything remotely related to a final product. Oh and I believe that we submit our stuff on this thread, just like the Phoenix Trial #6, where everyone post their work during the last few days and wish each other luck.
 
I have started to work on my units abilitys. I am far from done, but this is how one of them looks. A very simple trigger might I add.
But I think it gets the job done.

I am currently trying to remember what I used to base my morph spells on.
I have gotten quite far with the icons. Most of them are done.
Including upgrades.

I am beginning to have doubt about Jigrael's Python Warrioress (that I plan to use as hero). Mainly because there are no troll female sounds in the game. I would have to import female troll sounds into the game if I would want that hero to sound properly. But that would take up an extra 653 kb. Space I am unsure I can spare at this point.



Thats an update from me, hows it going for the rest?

Your right, I have changed the looks on the towers. I no longer use boulder towers. But something more towards what you suggested.

Until I find a better replacement for the human looking lumberjack house I will use that one.

I'm seeing some pretty cool races. I especially like the Tuskarr, but that's mostly because they're my favorite WC3 creeps anyway.

I'd really like to enter this one. I'll make a Kobold race if I do, I need that for my map anyway. But that'd mean making a lot of stuff myself, because there's not much Koboldy up for download. I really need to get to work on the Gun Ship texture I'm supposed to be doing, though, among other things, as well...

btw, I shall attempt to post another WIP shortly as I am pretty much done and just balancing the race atm, but that all depends on the following:
A) RL can be quite busy at times, and this is one of those times
B) How bothered I feel at the time
C) How much information shall I disclose? Perhaps just enough to cause more interest for my race lol
 
Next WIP

I have now 1 worker 2 Melee Units, 1 Range, 1 High Damage High Range, 1 Air, 1 Hero, 9 Upgrades, 7 buildings.
I'm practically finished, but I want to make it perfectly.
How do I post my final version? Screenshots??

The green cube is the fire tower, somehow it doesn't show, but it works ingame.

Oky, quick update (from school) I have lost internet (again) so I might not show wip for the next days.

Tought, here's some news.

All my buildings are done, all my units are done (not yet balanced), all the spells are done (not yet balanced), 3/4 of the upgrades are done.

I still have to make a couple of icons tought.
-Boreal Ressistance icon
-Etheral Form (Spirit Wolf)
-Soul Swapping (Tuskarr Shaman)
-Spirit Blessing (Tuskarr Shaman)
-Armor upgrade (for tuskarrs)
-Armor upgrade (for beast)
-Attack upgrade (for Tuskarrs)
-Attack upgrade (for beast)
-Devour spell (Giant Sea Turtle Rider)

and maybe abit more.

soooo... I still have a good 5 hours of work ahead of me ;D
 
Well, I think my race is done, it's just checking for imbalances and crap as before, I'll post a screeny soon enough though ;)

Oh, and maybe finding an alternative icon for something :P

One thing I'd like to say now (yes, I had something else to say other than stuff I've already said before :P) is that my Forest Troll race was not based on the lore, so when you folks do play my race, don't think that it's going to be a strictly 'based off the lore' kind of race. I used lots of different ideas and made some units that don't exist in the lore, which is where the fun factor comes in. Instead of having a complete lack of originality in creating a race that is 100% ripped from the lore, I took my race to a whole new level. So, just a heads up :P
 
I've began to work on my race again (hooray!). No WIPs at the moment, cause my units/buildings are not complete (I tend to work on abilities/upgrades first). I hope I'll submit it soon. There might be some that will get disappointed by the amount of imports (Almost everything is taken from W3, because it's rather difficult to find a model for the JASS section, for example ^^).
 
Once you're finished, attach your map to your post, along with a couple of screenshots and just say that this is your final submission.
 
Whouhou! internet is back! and my race is almost done, just have to make like 6 icons and 1 spell :D after that, it's testing, and testing and testing and balancing :P

With triggers, if you go to
Player -> Limit Training of Unit Type
you can set your hero to only be build-able once. You can set it for any unit to, in case you wanted to do a Mothership or some ultimate unit that is so godly only 1 is allowed per player. Anyways, nice progress so far everyone. If I didn't add you to the contest list let me know ;)
 
Yeah, that trigger's been discussed before, tho, what's racking my brain is how to stop the game from revealing you, tho. Anyone know how to do that?

Yeah, once again still have some balancing to do that I haven't gotten to yet, but seeing as how now is the weekend, I shall finish off my race (have a clear idea of how to do so, too, incidentally) before working on my other project. The only thing being a bitch to me atm, tho, is my RL workload lol, but it's still not enough to keep me at bay (WOOO for checking answers with friends =D)
