yes indeed, but is it not you mods who always say to go to tutorials to learn how to do things, like make icons well?

well I started with my armor set but it looks terrible big so I will wait till I can scale it before I post a WIP.

Ironically, Crazy Russian's Icons are very unique and not very warcrafty...for one they are way more detailed...

As for changing the background/getting rid of it on "my icons".

Elenai, I think your icons have just the right background, because if you look at blizzard upgrade icons they almost all have a glow behind them, just like yours.

Heard the comparison before. Well, i never thought of crazyrussian's tutorial while making that, the inspiration came from night elf sentry, but yes, it does seem awfully similar in shape.

I'm having trouble making the leather into studded leather so I think I might try something else. any suggestions on the studs?

AirHead, try criss-crossing the leather with tiny sized burn tool and then add fancy shading details.

Base icon? What? You're supposed to start from scratch.

That means you need to show the image in the sizes you worked in, which should be 256x256.

If you ask me it shouldn't be restricted to 256x256. It should be preference. But the base image should still need to be provided.

64x64 is good.. but you lose details that you could have in 256x256, cause simply to sharpe your icons you will use 1 pixel lines.. and it will be 10 times to big.. for you icon .. why its not that good D:

so trust me.. work in 256x256

'Tauren Armour', apparently. I thought them cow-people were more of the loincloth variety, though. Mayhaps a chainmail cowhood protector?

Mr. Goblin, that's more a hoplite-ish helmet. Gladiators generally had fully enclosed helms or no helm at all, I think.

they are all very good but i have a problem, leaves grow off of the tips of branches not the sides. other than that I cant think of anything that could help. they are warcrafty and high quality, so far i think you will probably win.

Honestly, the size does not matter if it´s something over 64x64.
And i do not guess that you´re drawing at 64x64.
I just want a proof that the submission is not ripped of a random game or website or something else.

I've done the three tiers of armor but not sure if it's final (probably isn't) and I'm making somewhat of a half-ogre theme (rexxar is half-ogre). Tell me what you think.

Well Elenai, your painting skills has reached a limit, so you have instead of improving, created your own style. I would never suspect you for doing CnP because I can always recognize your Icons as Elenai ones.

But people who makes Icons who dont have any Unique style, unlike yourself. Have a higher risk of being suspected for CnP. The 254x254 (+ Layers) is always a strong proof that no CnP has been used. The following points is stuff that makes up for CnP suspicion:

x: The artist makes sudden Improvements.
x: The style of the Icon, looks different from the style of the artists previous Icons.
x: The artists base image is missing or it doesn't have layers.

@: DevineArmy: If your Icon still has Layers, like in PS. I think your safe, otherwise lets se what paladon says.
