Yeah, now that I'm 70 and don't have WotLK yet, I'm working on getting good gear from regular instances and dungeons to work my way up to heroics. It's not easy!

I'm sure Mortal Online will be better and an overall good gameplay experience in a few more months to a year. They've got some tweaking, fixing, and polishing to do with that game all around. Once they've earned better income and get more dedicated players, their development staff should be able to afford to throw more in - including bug fixes and so on. I don't have money to pre-order the game, so I can't tag along with ya. Sorry!

But if you wanna play on my retail WoW server (U.S. Mug'thol PvP) then I can help you out too! I'm already helping Hawkwing a bit with instance runs, money, and a guild tabard. :D

You haven't raided yet then Craka, trust me I've seen videos of raids of 80s going into BWL wiping on Vael rofl... They aren't used to having to get into positions or actually do something instead of full dps tank and spank =o.

Also...

You're in luck Mortal Online went into Open beta 7 days ago.

http://www.mortalonline.com/forums/31725-open-beta.html

Don't expect too much out of it, there is some delay issues, etc... You WILL go in and there will be NO hand holding, there is NO tutorial, there is NO quests. You are basically left to ask other players or figure it out. No hand holding is one of the MANY reasons it will be my new MMO. That and player cities, amazing pvp, AND to top it all off Legendary monsters that can only killed ONCE through out the game.

Such as a dragon gets killed in his cave, you can loot the body to make some armor or weapon that will never be able to be made again. You can turn his cave into your own little home etc...

Of course this has ALOT of work needed in it to succeed but I'll do my part by subbing until it gets unbearable.

Wow, I see they've updated the graphics a bit and I definitely did NOT know you can do all that you said below. Going to start downloading ASAP!

Thanks!

Cheetah: This thread has been open for a few years, so yeah, it's grown to be rather big over time. And FYI, Wc3:WoW is not a multiplayer map. It is a single player campaign - a series of single player maps linked together.
So it will be more like sigleplayer compaign?

Lol... That is what the game is. It is a Single player campaign. They are thinking of making maps for online raids/pvp but it isn't set in stone.

Dude, your single player compaign in WOW is 1% of your time playing, the rest is multi:cute:

Rofl again, obviously you didn't read what this game is. This will NOT have multiplayer compatibility unless they decide to do mini maps.

If you put it into prespective, its very hard to create multiplayer maps, let alone multiplayer campaigns.

I would much rather prefer Wc3WOW to be single player. Disconnects and desyncs wont happen. and noob complaining players wont be noobs while playing.

this is a game to be enjoyed by oneself.

Well... I have to disagree with you. I would LOVE to have an AB/WSG/AV maps and IF/SW/ORG/UC so players can PvP together and gain player ranks, and then for the cities it'd be nice to have players enchant or make items for you. Or just to duel or maybe the random event happens where the town gets raided by high levels?

Raiding would be alot more fun and so would instances to be honest. If they could some how transfer instances, PvP maps & cities the game would definitely top DoTA.

I agree with Yabooter. When I heard about WarSoc, I was really looking forward to doing molten core and raids like that with other people around the world. Too bad patch 1.2.4 ruined it. :[

I understand everyone's disappointment with 1.24 and our inability to make Wc3:WoW playable online. I was also pretty upset about it as soon as I heard the news. But regardless of the misfortune this project continues to gradually experience throughout development, we shall press on and strive to create a mod that will top off nearly all others that exist for WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne.

This year, we intend to release Wc3:WoW publicly. Does that mean soon? No. We're still working on character creation and a few other basic systems. Once complete, BETA testing will get kicked in gear and hopefully shortly after that we can release Wc3:WoW publicly as an Open BETA - not as a first completed demo. The problem is that I've set Wc3:WoW's goals too high and have repeatedly added onto the list. But after realizing that Wc3:WoW needs to focus on the basics and what makes it playable so the community can try it out and we can get to work on fixing whatever they report even sooner and they finally experience what Wc3:WoW may turn out to be like in the future. Plus, we really just need to get something out already!

Personally I think the A.I. in Wc3:WoW will be one of the most, if not, the most important factor in Wc3:WoW that makes it feel like a shared experience (make it feel like it's online being played with others). But we're a long way from that and I'm just fantasizing about the bigger plans with the mod. For now, getting Wc3:WoW to function and look like World of Warcraft is key.

The news post linked above has been authorized and can now be viewed.

IN OTHER NEWS: I've been very busy with doing concept art and studying the Unreal Engine III's (UE3) Unreal Development Kit (UDK) for a project I'm working for. This means I'll be less focused on Wc3:WoW; however, do not worry, progress is being made from the modelers of the team. It's not 100% official yet, but Forgotten_Warlord and Mulgrim are potentially our new dedicated Wc3:WoW modelers.

No, sorry guys. After my subscription died for World of Warcraft, I've focused on my career as an artist and game developer. So far, things look pretty good for me in that field!

But I am not leaving Wc3:WoW in the dust even if I do break into the gaming industry or any big industry. I said we're releasing the mod this year and I plan to stick to that promise... it has been too damn long since any big important release. Even if it's the end of this year, it's better than waiting a whole new year to get to try it out, even if all we can throw in is a few systems to play with.

I haven't been contacted by any of the members of the Wc3:WoW team via development progress or anything like that, so I will send out a PM to see what's up. If I don't edit this post or make a new post about the progress, that means there's nothing to report. :\

War3:WOW FAN ART!

I drew this WoW pic when I was bored, I thought that you might think of it as some good fan art.

Yeah. Hmm... in fact, thanks for reminding me. I'll do that now!

[EDIT]

The "WoW Map Viewer" no longer exists. Just some model viewer, which doesn't show zones. Just objects and stuff like that used in the game to piece it together.

Craka, you said you had ran out of your WoW subscription and to go in and get more terrain references, are you interested in private servers? I know one which is all 1x and does not use donations or anything, if you want to know.

I look forward upon the complete release of this project, until then, good luck!

But you didn't add any screenshots, I'm pretty sure that he is aware about that thread that was posted in his forum though.
