New request type idea: Improvement
Description: A new request based on the improvement of a system, spell, or make it GUI or MUI with the permission of the owner of the system or spell maded
Permission method: a quote with the free pass to edit/customize (not required when the map is already free do customize)
Accept/Reject method: The triggers should be at least understandable, with a theme/request being construed as ONE request, the map with the improved request must have of at least less than 500kbps to get accepted.


its just a idea, customize it as much you guys want.

Also, I believe there's a "AOS Essentials" map or something like that which is basically UTM for AOS maps floating around somewhere on this site, I seem to remember seeing it once. I believe it comes with a basic multiboard kill/death system.

However, if you do it on your own, you may be able to figure it out via that tutorial (I refer to it any time i need to do a multiboard. They're kind of a pain in my ass since I don't use them very often, I always forget the exact method by which they need doing) how to set it up to have how many rows and columns you want with some very basic experimentation. That tut is amazingly well explained. Once you figure that out, you need to mess with variables, and you can make the hero thing work a couple different ways.

One way, you can make a group variable and add only the heroes to that variable as the player picks the hero, then just run a check if killed unit is within that variable group. the other way would be to make sure the ONLY "heroes" in your map are the player heroes. Meaning no "hero" bosses. Either way is about the same efficiency-wise, but the former will allow you to use heroes for bosses, or use the hero designation for some other system if you require.

At least go through the tutorial. I found Multiboards to be one of the simplest things to understand - they're just annoyingly roundabout in their method...

Well I just wanted to let you know that I managed to make the DoT-Warstomp myself.
All it took was a trigger to passively deal dmg to enemies carrying a certain buff and the skill was set.

I attempted at making the Line-Dash but it didn't really work out the way I wanted.
So now I'm settling for a Blink with a trigger to add in a Shockwave in that path - so technically it works for gameplay as I want it to but the animation could be smoothed out.
I still hope you can help me out there.

Name of Skill: Corrupt
Description: The magic of chaos, shall turned them into my minions, or slay them!!!!
How it works:
Firstly it ONLY works on villagers NOT peasants. It turns them into skeleton villagers, they look exactly like the villagers but their skin NOT armor/clothes textures are replaced with skeleton's, it only works on villager 1 and villager 2 models, ONLY males. They have no weapons just fists. It causes them to get their hp max up to 100, but they can get their attack and armor upgraded.
It has 10 seconds of cooldown and takes only 10 mana, and if used on any other units the spell makes them get pierced by a big spike which is summoned from the floor.
No Spell Duration!!!
Note: Before the transformation, the villagers get sorounded by a green aura (just like the aura around the villagers in RoC in human campaign before they turn into zombies, from the poisoned food ;D ).

Name of Spell: Fire Breath
Description: The caster breathes out with molten death burning everything to ash...
LV1: 50 mana, 150 dmg, inciriration
LV2: 50 mana, 200 dmg, inciriration
LV3: 60 mana, 300 dmg, inciriration , fear.
5 seconds duration and 5 metres range, and cool down 20 seconds

Name of Spell: Poisoned Shadow-Runed Spear. (Auto Cast)
Description: Shadow-runed spears tipped fully in deadly poison from the King Scorpion deadly poison itself.
Mana cost: 10 per sec.
DMG: 40 per hit.
When using this spell, the caster gets a spear throwing animation.

Name of Spell: Raise Dead (hero version Only) (Auto Cast)
Description: Raise my legion, raise!!! Show them the true nature of Darkness.
Mana Cost: 50
Requirements: LV 10
Range: 10 metres
How it works:
Works same like normal Raise Dead spell, but it raises 2 skeletal warriors and one skeletal mage, it has NO duration, and so it will be a LV 10 spell. It has the same icon. Cooldown 20 seconds.

Guys, this thread is pretty dead till the LEgendary Fight is totally over. The spellmakers here are busy in the competition.

I figured here would be the place to announce this, if there were any such place to announce such news.

I'm going to be pretty much leaving the Hive now.

This has nothign to do with the recent events that have sprung up over the last couple months that turned into absolutely insane melodrama with dramaqueens leading the show. It's simply because I have given up on wc3 modding.

I may pop back in from time to time, and who knows, I may one day come back and attempt to finish my projects (Namely my dice games project with the one major bug causing it to not work, as the TD I was working on would be a ton of work that I may not be up to once I return), although I doubt it.

I really wish I had uploaded some map to the site, or some sort of resource at least, but alas I was one of the many moochers, unable to give much back to the community in general. That isn't to say my stay here on the hive was useless, as I made some friends here, and I've helped out Defskull many times with this workshop thread of his, and I've been a rather known presence on this thread over the couple thousand posts to any who've been around this thread for a while.

I want to say thank you to Defskull, and McKill who have helped me... well, more times than I can count. You guys are awesome.

Simply put, I just don't have time to be here anymore. Thank you guys. <3

in pasts months, and most of them are yet to be finished, not to mention the new contests, like the legendary
fight, why dont you give it a shot?...Dont say that you dont have time, coz I also have a job, working 10 hrs a
day but I still have time to do moding...

in the next days Ima back taking spells in this thread, but I may request the people here to follow-up your requests

Name: Gorgons Gaze
Type: Like Manashield turns on and back off
Levels: 1 (Ultimate)
Effect: When on, the gorgon will turn anyone who looks at her (she looks at him and he looks at her) into stone, pausing it and setting animation speed to 0% permanently. This works on all units that aren't buildings and have less HP than she has (allied, enemies, all) up to 750 range away from her.
When off, does nothing.

it cant be done with indexing alone coz it needs to check whether the unit has been affected by the pause or not,
unless you put the affected to a group...I'll write it in vjass also if Ima do it, meanwhile let yeohxin try...

also, I think it's better if NOT with the max life coz max life cannot be adjusted easily unlike the remaining life...

It's meant to be max hp, because this is a roleplaying map. The Only units with more max hp than this hero are gods, and therefore unaffected.
And yes, a group would probably be the best way because the hero will have an ability to instantly kill any unit that has been turned to stone, which is easily done if they're added to a group.

Nah, McKill, it's not so much that I don't have time (I'm not even working, I have a ton of time) as much as it is, i'm using my time for other things.

Taking care of my grandfather, running my community's SWTOR guild, playing DayZ Mod, Will be playing Minecraft once our server is updated, and I'm also doing other stuff.

I simply have other interests. I haven't even booted up WC3 in a couple months.

last questions;
- when looking, means facing angle of target and the caster?
- what about the back of the target, if it has the same angle?, do you want to hit all or one by one?

1. Yes, when the facing angle.
2. If multiple units are looking, then you it's your choice, either make it all at once or one by one, it isn't an important detail for me.

1) An arrow ability - When the arrow is shot, it lowers the target's armor by 2.5 (on the 1st level), 3.5 (on the 2nd level) and 5 (on the 3rd level) and lasts 6 seconds on all levels. The name should be "Corroding Arrows"; it's a hero ability, costs 5/10/20 mana per shot and has a cooldown of 4/2/0 seconds.

2) An ultimate for Thrall - A channeling spell that sends out lightning bolts damaging 1 random enemy every 0.3 seconds in a 650 AoE for 50 damage (if possible, make it so that any enemy can get hit unlimited times, meaning if there's only 1 enemy unit ---> xP :D). While he's channeling he has a "Purge" effect on his weapon and it's raining in the 650 AoE of the spell. The name of the spell is "Eye Of The Storm", has a cooldown of 350 seconds and lasts 12 seconds. Of course, Thrall is NOT invulnerable while casting.

Can you explain to me what is 8 second HP Freeze ?
The unit won't get HP Regeneration for 8 seconds ?
I don't know if I can do that, to track down unit's current HP Regeneration.

Corrupt
- So the spell will turn villager into zombie-like unit permanently ?
- Explain this: and if used on any other units the spell makes them get pierced by a big spike which is summoned from the floor.
- Meaning that if the spell is used on units besides Villager Male 1/2, this effect will appear ? What does the spike do ? Does nothing ? Is it acting only like a warning ?
Fire Breath
- Can you explain these: inciriration , fear.
- 5 seconds duration and 5 metres range, and cool down 20 seconds, 5 metres ??? Warcraft 3 uses Unit Range, like 300 Unit Range or so, I don't understand metres or yards, please fix this value.
Poisoned Shadow-Runed Spear
- When this spell is turned on (activate auto-cast), what it gets besides throwing spear animation ?
- Also, I don't have the unit that has this "throwing spear animation", bear in mind I'm a spell maker, not a modeler.
Raise Dead
- Range: 10 metres, once again, Warcraft 3 don't use metres as range measurement.

Arrow Shot
- Please tell me that the armor reduction is non-stacking, meaning that if this ability is done to a unit 2 times in the last 6 seconds, the armor reduction stays the same, not stacking.
Eye of the Storm
- You cannot make a weather limited to a certain AOE, once a weather has been activated, it will affect all the entire map, I'll do something about the effect, perhaps I should use Tranquility effect, it looks like raining lol.
For those spells that I don't have any further question, I'll try to make it now.
And for those spells that are not clear to me, you should answer it.

But the last time I saw the gorgon trigger it wasn't exactly made to work with if they face eachother perfectly, there was a few degree +- in which it already triggered (because a perfect stare is close to impossible).

Sorry if I keep asking you but, you said it is like Mana Shield right ?
Therefore this is a toggle-able ability, right ?
Does it drains mana ?

I mean like Immolation ?

Or the mechanics truly follows Mana Shield ? Which requires no Mana Per Second at all ? Is there Initial Mana Requirement to toggle the ability ?
 
For the HP freeze, just simply detect every 0.05 seconds the unit's hp, and if the hp are superior than the hp the unit has 0.05 seconds before, you deduct the gained hp.
I did that with mana for a spell i previously done, and it works fine to counter regeneration but also heal.

For the Eye of the Storm, there is a cloud effect for some spells. Using it as a dummy with big flying height and size should make look it more like a stormy cloud.

You just gave me an idea.

About the cloud, yeah I could make it as dummy unit and re-size it via Object Editor and change its Flying Height over there, but the thing is, where is the "rain" effect ?
The tiny droplets of water ?

That's what I'm looking for, and closest to it is Tranquility model, it has this falling-droplets-like-effects though.

Description:pulls any unit within 600 AoE range to the caster,when all units are pulled the caster releases a wave which deals 400 damage in 300 AoE range and knocking back all pulled units(600 knockback distance).

So if I understood correctly;
1. Enemy units are pulled to the Caster
2. While pulling, wave is emitted from the Caster in outwards fashion
3. When the enemy units are hit by this wave, it will be knockbacked and follows the motion of the wave, I mean like the wave carries enemy units along with it.

Is this correct spell chronology ?

Yes exactly,and the wave is circular.
Units may not follow the motion of the wave,just damaged and knocked back.

Additional Information: It's like any other "arrows" spell, meaning it's not passive, can be set on autocast, duh... :D
Eye Of The Storm
Description: After being channeled for 3 seconds it starts sending lightning bolts from the sky, striking 1 random enemy every 0.3 seconds for 50 damage in a 650 AoE, and lasts 12 seconds. Has a cooldown of 315 seconds and costs 300 mana to cast. Has 1 level.
Additional Information: While channeling and after, a rain effect (from the Monsoon) appears; and also, while channeling, a "Purge" effect is applied to the weapon. Targets of the spell are both units (air and ground) and buildings.

You must answer all these questions.

The caster can move around after the channeling is complete, and it would be great if you can make the cloud stay in place, without following the caster. But if there's any trouble with the cloud staying in place, it's not a problem at all if it follows the caster.

I can't reduce armor by Real value, it should be Integer.
Therefore, I'm rescaling the armor reduction to 3/4/5, is that okay with you ?

For the Eye of the Storm, I can't use Purge as SFX because it has animation duration, which I cannot create-destroy the SFX, would cause leaks.
I made some minor adjustments for the SFX.

I have completed both Eye of the Storm and Corroding Arrows, take a look.
