Elvor looked like he was at great releif.
"Thank you, warriors and mages, for coming to our aid!
We could not have ended this situation without great loss hadn't it been for you."
He pointed at the boy.
"This boy, is from now on our Top Priority!
He, is the Son of the Great lord of the Sea! And without him, all our magic will fade like frost in the jungles!"
With those words, Elvor started explaining the current situation to the Mages and warriors, informing them of the recent events.

Alyssia, looked down at the boy, still wrapped in her arms. How could so much rest upon one person and once again, why was she involved? That creature had wanted her too... she shuddered at the thought. Best to leave the thinking to the others...
"Are you still hungry?", she asked the boy, her own appetite, no longer of any concern.

"I could eat." the boy smiled.

The mages discussed events, and agreed to have the entire party taken to a secure castle in deep south Intika.

"Elvor, you should take them there, and stay with them for protection, until Argus gets there, a month or two. by then, we should have a plan to deal with these problems.

''Two months?'' he commented.
A frown appeared on his forehead.
''Two months?'' he said in disbelief.

They turned. "No, thats how long elvor will be with you." He smiled "your stay will be indeterminate, but your trip may take a a while, as you will have no dragon steed this time. Elvor, take them to the caravan, they can eat there. it will be a long trip, dont cause trouble."

''Blegh..'' he mumbled.
He sighed and longed back to the his homeland and tribe.
However, he had to simple accept that everything had a reason.
The Northrend Star had brought him here, thus he would follow it.

"I will go, where he goes", Alyssia said, surprising herself as well as the others, by nodding towards Urak.

Fast forward. second day on the trip, they are in the deep jungle, going along a faint path, in a caravan of 23 carts, two of witch the part was free to use...

 

[Crazy Cow]

Kryn was riding along with the others in the caravan, watching for any danger that might be lurking in the shadows. He had failed to do anything against the shadows twice in a row, and wanted to be sure that he could do something next time danger showed itself.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

Alyssia had insisted she be in the same caravan as the young boy, Urak. She had sat for hours on end, speaking to him, observing his movements and noting all his habits but nothing seemed to give any indication of why she was so attached to him. She sighed, pulling her white blonde hair out of it's tight bun and re-styling it into two loops and a front eye fringe. She liked messing with her hair, it was something she could do at any time, alone or in company and kept her occupied while her mind sifted through the day's events, trying to make sense of it all.

The jungle felt familiar, he found.
They didn't have travelled for long, but the speed was already annoying for him.
This was going incredibly slow.

 

[Dragonson]

Elvor, though not flying, were riding his dragon in the caravan.
He was enjoying the journey, but he had a feeling it would not go without troubles.

He was right.

Elvor suddenly became very paranoid.

About an hour later, a repor came the the front of the massive wagontrain had been attacked by strange black things reached the adventureres....

Elvor cursed.
"Grah! Why did we have to travel like this anyway!"

You know, I really wouldn't mind if we had an enemy we could actually fight. I wouldn't mind at all.

Kryn heard that the caravan was under attack and turned to Elvor.
"We should think about what we need to do," Kryn said. "Last time, even our most powerful attacks did as much as a light bree-"
Kryn paused a moment, struck by an idea.
"Do you think wind could do anything to them? Blow them away, or into a tree or something?"

OOC: yeah there will be some battles...

[Grey Nightmare]

"Worth a shot", Elise pitched in, anxious to help in some way.

 

[Crazy Cow]

"Shots!" Kryn was on a roll now.
"Is there any alcohol in the caravan? We could make firebombs with it if there is!"
Kryn paused for another moment.
"If we splash beer or something similar on them, their burning swords could light the whole mess on fire and burn the entire creature! And if any of the fire spreads to the caravan, I'm certain you, Elvor, can take care of it."

The boy helpfully indicated to a small cabinet filled with all forms of alcohol.

"How did you?" Alyssia started, staring from the alcohol crate to the boy. Shaking her head she laughed, "Your full of surprise know that?".

[Crazy Cow]

Kryn pulled several bottles of what looked like wine out of the cabinet.
"Any other ideas before we go?"

"you need a cloth. instead of alcohol, fill the jars with oil, take a strip of cloth, and lite one end. then throw the jar." the boy again said helpfully. Smiling at Ayssa.

 

[Crazy Cow]

"I was thinking of just splashing it on the shade," Kryn said. "That burning sword of theirs would light it right up, and it would be hard to hit the shade with a bottle when things tend to go through it."

"good idea!" the boy smiled.

 

[Crazy Cow]

Kryn, with as many bottles as he could carry, set off to the front of the caravan, not bothering to check in anyone was following.

A guard alog the side saw Kryn.

"hey! no moving along the sides! Stay with your carts!"

 

[Crazy Cow]

"Would you like to sit and wait for a creature of pure shadow to come and eat your brains, or would you like to help?" Kryn asked. "The caravan up front is under attack, and if you want to help then take a few of these." Kryn offered the guard a bottle.

"it was under attack, about ten minues ago. you might be passing the corpses. But thanks," he smiled. "I'll take 'em! i really appreciate it!"

 

[Crazy Cow]

The guard wasn't going to help, so Kryn left the guard with his drink and continued on, slightly faster at this point.

"Hey! Stop!" the guard yelled. "You cannot move on!"

 

[Crazy Cow]

"Why don't you enjoy your drink and forget I was here?" Kryn called over his shoulder, still moving towards the front of the caravan.

The guard pulled out a small crystal. "Don't Move or shoot." he said, pointing it at the guard.

 

[Crazy Cow]

Kryn sighed. He had no idea what the crystal would do when the guard shot it, but he didn't want to find out, so he turned around.
"Aren't you a guard? Guards protect caravans, don't they? If the caravan is under attack, they could use all the help they can get. You want to put that away," Kryn added, waving at the crystal. "I am a friend of Elvor, and he wouldn't like it if one of his guards killed me. He wouldn't like that at all."

Zarion suddenly appeared behind the guard, crossing his swords in front of the guard's neck. "Just let him do his job", he said in a scary voice.

 

[Crazy Cow]

While I appreciate the assistance, Kryn is male.

The guard looked around at the crossed swords.

"I-i--i-If... If you try... ANYTIHING... i... i... i will ues this! Rules are rules, and you will obey them." he said. and ath that, he activaated the stone at Zarion, swinging around...

Noticed the guard's movement, he quickly blocked the stone with his blade on his right hand, and changes the position of the other blade from "crossing" to "pointing". "You won't want to know what could my little friend here can do to your precious neck".

OOC: ROLLS! next time, roll. and guys, theres action coming but this isnt it, its kina not good if you get on the bad side of these guards. remeber, your all supposed to be JUST beginning to get skilled and strong.

the stone activated, Paralyzing Zarion in a burst of blue energy... (HIDDEN ROLL) Zarion fell backwards. the guard turned to aim the stone at Kyrn. (HIDDEN ROLL) A blude bolt discharged, but missed. "l-ll-look, come back, take him and go back to you carts. or i will shoot!" he was nervous, but the device dint need good aim...

IC: Zarion slowly tries to stand up (ROLL PLEASE), while cursing under his breath.

The crystals effect keeps Zarion Down, its magic feeding on is exertion...

As he fell again, Zarion mumbled slightly "At least it's nothing greater than a Dragon's Bite...."

The guard, fed up, turned to zarion and he fired again. striking him in the back. then (HIDDEN ROLL) he gathered the two up, and had the returned to thier carts with the help of the other guards stating firmly to the whole party: "if this happens again, you will be sent back." then they left.


OOC: guys, youll ofeten find tht i do alot of hidden rolls, i do quite a few without showing you the (HIDDEN ROLL) so if somthing feels unfair, blame the dice a bit.
