Emiki's Hero Arena

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Emiki's Hero Arena

hi guys this is my second post (first post was half an hour ago) so please advise me regarding admin stuff/formatting

ive been working on this map for more than 5 years already but i just wanted to upload it so more people can play it.

Emiki's Hero Arena is a MOBA game which features an smaller map and open battlefield as opposed lanes with four jungle quadrants. There are team creeps and neutrals alike.

The game features 48 unique heroes to choose from, and the goal is to simply rack up kills. Current playable mode is single player vs AI in 5v5.

Read more on the heroes in Emiki's Hero Arena database, written by me.

Warcraft version i use is Warcraft III 1.26a

 An AoS, I'll check it soon!

Edited: It has a good start but it requires a lot of improvements. As soon as the game starts, after you pick a hero, everyone fights like crazy. You find yourself into an invulnerability field having no idea what to do. It is a major downfall for an AoS. Not everyone plays or knows what an AoS / Moba is about. The hero tooltips should have the ability draft mentioned...as in *background story of the hero....then "this hero has the following abilities: you name them" * After choosing a hero to play with, the game shouldn't start right away, you should set the timers when the creeps spawn as well as the AI. In this way, the player has enough time to check his hero, what items to purchase and the game overall, surroundings etc. Also, all player slots are already occupied by computers. If you plan on playing online, you should change that. What really made me happy is that the heroes are really custom and have cool abilities. I tried out at least 3-4, liked them all. Yet again, a major issue here, almost each ability that was either cast by me or the AI, caused spikelags. Heavy spikelags for about 2-3 seconds. You should check your triggers properly, memory leaks are causing that... Check this tutorial in order to understand what I'm talking about Memory Leaks @IcemanBo did a great job explaining it there. The items are all advanced items and with crazy stats for a very cheap price. 1250 gold for a 40 amount of Strength and 300 health is incredibly cheap. You realize that buying at least 3-4 pieces of that item, turns your hero incredibly durable. Don't get me wrong, I like that you made custom items as well but you need to set the right price for each. Advanced items but where are the starting items ? Some basic boots for movement, a minor shield for durability in the early stages of the game, a bit of attack damage boost ? Not to mention that with the starting gold you can't buy anything.... Global experience in an AoS is not recommended. The cooldown of each spell is not mentioned in its tooltip, you should work on that. The terrain also needs major improvements. Try enlarging the lanes a bit; create an actual environment.

Overall, as I said, the AoS has a good start but it needs a lot of improvements. :D

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
