Desert Bus (Map)

Anything you'd like to credit, like the road tileset? The bus doesn't realistically move to the sides. Doesn't face towards the direction it's heading when doing so. Also, there's no road-speed friction, not even a speed increase or decrease, stop or...

As a big AVGN fan myself, I'm willing to give this kawa-piece of fucking dogshit a try.
I mean, its only based on an absolutely horrible game.
    What could possibly go wrong?

Original desert bus has some people play it for way too many hours for donations.
    J/k.

    Ok just played it.
My god, its just as annoying as the real deal. And I haven't even played the real deal. Only watched other people do it. For 5 minutes.

You did it. Its desert bus alright.

EDIT: Actually 4 stars for a good remake attempt.
Its not as charming as being "inside" the bus, but
I know what I'm asking is barely possible.

I was gonna ask, if a good copy of a bad game counts as a good thing or a bad one, but I guess you made your decision already hehe xd

I respect people remaking bad games, if its for learning purposes.
Or making a parody or references to bad games.
OR even if they enjoy it. I enjoy some horrible games too, nostalgia?
    To each their own.

But if its just so because ... you can or you can't be bothered,
then I wouldn't give half a tip from a star for the attempt or effort.

The map has that "desert bus" humor, telling you like oh its awesome
you get to press left or right and honk and that's amazing!...
and eventually see a rock or a cactus... wow. Funny.

The bus doesn't realistically move to the sides. Doesn't face towards the direction it's heading when doing so. Also, there's no road-speed friction, not even a speed increase or decrease, stop or reverse but for some reason the driver is either drunk or the wheels need proper positioning since the bus is dragged to the right and the road is straight.
Nothing's happening. It's the same thing over and over.

    This map is a joke.

    Substandard.

    ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
    • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
    • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
    • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

You DO know what desert bus is, right?

    Anyway...

The "road tileset" is white marble from dalaran and dalaran ruins

Everything else you criticize about is basically what I said. It's desert bus. It's not changing. The map is ""almost" perfection as it is. The only thing that could perhaps be done better is first person perspective, but that would basically mean a rework of the whole thing. You are right about one thing tho. This map is a joke.

This game's strength is that IT IS A JOKE!
You can't win with this game.

You should add more warcraft flavor to it, since you can't make it 1st person view.
Like very rarely see a footman and grunt fight. And it has a random chance of one of them dying.

Improve the controls. There's a default driving Blizz made map, like Mario Kart or Crash Team Racing.
You can learn from that, improve the driving, upgrade the fun.

Then again... you can't fix desert bus.

Also add money, so that you earn money from your shit job.
With daily expenses, so that you have to drive that fucking bus.

I got kinda salty with deepstratz's review, not because he/she/it gave it a one, but more because he/she/it was being so serious about it.

I don't really intend on improving the map, since it does provide the default desert bus experience, and I know that no matter how much I improve it, it will stay substandard, where nobody will play it, so what's the point. Not that anyone would want to actually play this hehe xd

Its also pointless getting salty over an intentionally made bad game.
Look at my first map, I got flamed so hard I got salty too.
    Rock Paper Scissors

And its still in the same section your map is in.
Doesn't make the map unplayable or not fun.
But its hard for others to justify it.
