Shooting Mage Duels v6.0 AI
The best mages of Azeroth have gathered at a field where they can practice their shooting expertise. Step on red flags in the middle to shoot explosions at your enemy. Each player has 50 lives. Best played with reforged graphics. However, only Warcraft 3 the Reign of Chaos is required to play.
Shoot powerful explosions and dodge with crafty spells
Shooting Mage Duels is a spellcaster map similar to a game of dodgeball but with items and powerups! There are 50 lives per player and 9 heroes to choose from - each with special abilities. An item shop in each base allows you to purchase spells, towers, and more! Now in v2.3, an AI is included, meaning you can go up against computers! The AI doesn't cheat!
Here is a video where I play against the v2.3 AI:
Here is a video showing the powerful upgraded AI in v4.3 (if you want to turn off the "a hero has fallen" sound and ingame music just alt tab twice):
Strategies: One of the more well known strategies in this game is to use the suicide spell until you can buy all your items and spells early on. You only have 50 lives, but it'll save you later, when you kill your opponents faster with better gear.

Move your hero to the middle where the flags are and when a blue flag turns red, step on it to shoot a line of explosions at your enemy! The blue flags will turn red randomly every few seconds. Red flags turn back to blue when they are stepped on. Kill your enemy until they have no lives to win. Each player gets 50 lives. The game can be played 1v1 or up to 12v12 or even in a single player test setting.
One explosion will deal 10,000 damage.
Each kill will net you 90 gold.
After each death, you can repick a new hero.
There are 9 heroes to choose from - Mage, Paladin, Ogre, Tinker, Pirate, Skeletal Carnation, Illusionist, Steam Tank, and Spell Controller
Mage
Mage - The Mage is a fast hero with well rounded escape spells. Use the mage to dodge explosions swiftly or damage your opponents faster.
Mirror Image - Creates an illusion to be used to step on flags or trick the enemy into shooting at them.
Wind Walk - Makes the mage invisible for some time.
Divine Shield - Makes the mage invulnerable for some time.
Blink - Blinks at a target location.
Slash - Moves at hyperspeed forward for some time.
Paladin
Paladin - The Paladin is a slow hero with a few leap spells to compensate for his slowness. The Paladin can also absorb 3 hits from an explosion spell so pick the Paladin for his somewhat versatile mobility and tankiness!
Leap (300 range) - Leaps 300 range.
Leap (500 range) - Leaps 500 range.
Leap (700 range) - Leaps 700 range.
Leap (900 range) - Leaps 900 range.
Heal - Heals a target unit 10,000 hp.
Ogre
Ogre - The Ogre is a slow hero with extra slow turn rate and relies on his spells to turn faster. However, the Ogre has the most hp of all the heroes!
Turn (North)
Turn (East)
Turn (South)
Turn (West)
Bloodlust - Increases the movement speed of a unit.
Tinker
Tinker - The Tinker has the most diverse spells of the game with the ability to teleport in different ways.
Maintain - Maintains the Tinker's other spells or takes the position of the ethereal form of the spell.
Ethereal Dash - Sends an ethereal form forward. Use Maintain to assume the position of the ethereal form.
Engineer - Changes the Tinker's HP randomly. Use Maintain to set the Tinker's HP to one the engineered values.
Gold Hack - Generates random numbers between 0 and 20. Use Maintain to generate gold equal to that number generated by Gold Hack.
Ethereal Teleport - Sends an etheral form to teleport randomly across the map. Use Maintain to assume the position of the teleported ethereal form.
Pirate
Pirate - The Pirate is a hero that lets him use a transport to get around. Use the pirate to have a unique experience!
Summon Transport Ship - Summons a transport ship with 75000 HP to carry the pirate around. The ship starts off faster than the pirate, although it does not cast explosions when on a red flag.
Summon Ghost Ship (Left) - Summons a ghost ship 250 range on the pirate's left to cast explosions.
Summon Ghost Ship (Right) - Summons a ghost ship 250 range on the pirate's right to cast explosions.
X Mark - Marks a spot on a unit. After 6 seconds, the unit returns to the spot.
Return - Returns the unit to the X Marked spot.
Summon Blockade Ship - Summons a blockade ship on the other side for a few seconds to block the enemy heroes from stepping on flags.
Skeletal Carnation
Skeletal Carnation - The Skeletal Carnation is a resilient hero with the Reincarnation spell.
Reincarnation - Revives the Skeletal Carnation after dying. The cooldown is 50 seconds.
Summon Life Obelisk - Summons a moving obelisk. Whenever the Skeletal Carnation is 400 range near the obelisk, it resets the Reincarnation spell cooldown.
Summon Critter - Summons a critter on the other side. These critters can be targeted with Storm Bolt to cause the bolt to activate red flags.
Storm Bolt - Throws a hammer at a target unit, stunning the unit for 1.5 seconds upon impact. The hammer can activate red flags.
Purge - Purges all buffs except for the Float buff from a target unit.
Summon Lost Soul - Summons a Lost Soul which wanders around and may step on red flags.
Illusionist
Illusionist - The Illusionist is a crafty hero that can summon illusions to do her bidding! She can also teleport to any illusion.
Steam Tank
Steam Tank - The Steam Tank is a long ranged hero that can fire cannon shells to activate red flags from a distance.
Spell Controller
Spell Controller - The Spell Controller is a crafty hero that can switch control with an enemy player and has a few tricks up her arsenal.
Items - The Goblin Merchant at each base is filled with items for your needs!
Nuclear Bomb (1400 gold) - Drops a nuclear bomb on other side, obliterating your enemies.
Tome of Mana Regen (65 gold) - Permanently increases your mana regen.
Tome of Movespeed (60 gold) - Permanently increases your movespeed by 5.
Float (30 gold) - Makes your hero have no collision for a few seconds.
Wall (8 gold) - Builds a temporary wall at a target location. Used to block enemy heroes from having mobility.
Arcane Tower (80 gold) - Builds a temporary Arcane Tower at a target location to drain enemy heroes' mana.
Reveal (20 gold) - Temporarily gives your hero the Reveal ability to reveal invisible units.
Learn Spells 2-5 (150 gold each) - Permanently learns a spell. If you change your hero after death, you continue to have learned the equivalent spell for your new hero.
Standard Mode
Kill your enemies until they have no lives remaining to win. Each player starts out with 50 lives. If all players on a team loses all their lives, then the opposing team wins.
Coin Mode
To change from Standard Mode to Coin Mode, the host must type [-coin mode] without the brackets. The message can be typed at any point during the game, which will instantly change the winning conditions. In Coin Mode, each team must work together to collect 350 coins. The first team to collect 350 coins wins. Kills only slow down the enemy from gathering coins, but are not vital to winning.

---AUTHORS NOTES---
The map version "SMD v1.5a No Load Screen" is Shooting Mage Duels without the loading screen. The map runs faster and is intended to have some of the lowest delay in Warcraft 3.
If you want to play with the Loading Screen or with the most up to date features, then use "Shooting Mage Duels v5.6 AI" instead.
This map is unprotected.
