X Tower Defense: Reforged​

The classic returns... rebuilt from the ground up.

Originally created by Karnaxus (hs_goldwarrior previously) around 2005, X Tower Defense has been completely reimagined for Warcraft III: Reforged. Rather than simply updating the original, XTD: Reforged is a full rewrite featuring a modern Lua codebase, improved gameplay systems, quality-of-life enhancements, and brand-new content while preserving the spirit of the original experience.

Build an arsenal of unique towers, upgrade them into devastating Spell Towers, and work together to survive increasingly challenging waves of enemies.

Starting takes kind of long. No one cares about showing how the monsters look beforehand since you can't remember and it's meaningless to the gameplay. The AI tower icons are horribly unreadable and not fitting to the models. Some towers can be placed...
You are correct on a few things. The logo was created with AI and the description. However, the Lua code was not. I have been programming for many and many years, so that is all written by me. Yes, I do foresee lot of rewrites of rewrites by others in the future too.

Overall this particular kind of tower defense map has been done before. The gameplay mechanics are nothing new.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
