I wonder if it's possible to have two layers inside the map (Without making it laggy), like one for underground and one on the ground.
I'm really sorry... Erm, does this map sounds override Warcraft III's sounds, like some other games which has their own custom sounds suddenly appearing in some other game after it's played?
Hmm... What else could be added...
How about a means to earn income through some stock market? So there's a chance to earn more or less depending on Wall Street.

@damon92: he uses two exactly similar terrains above eachother, with two identical camera rects on top of them, and with everything going on pretty much similar using triggers, and then he spaws the camera bounds to the second layer each time you switch dimension. Did you check the map out? It is so cool.
so sad that the map is protected
I have a few questions, I really hope you don't mind...
Erm, Fin will soldiers be able to swim, but have reduced movement and armor?
And will there be a system which requires transportation to 'reach' your building before you can gain income?
Lastly, will stuff like radio transmissions be able to have some 'transmitting' time in between, to add realism?
Sorry if I asked too much, I'm just really curious![]()
@Damon, *cough*WINMPQ*cough*
It is impossible to mak3e a terrain "above" a terrain, theese two are merely next to eachother, only synchronized.
And well, this map is more like altered melee than campaign, but it is still nothing like warcraft melee. You don't start with equal ammounts of units or resources, and your entire techtree will be completely different from that of the other players (there are actually very few players that have an exactly similar tech tree as the other ones).
Hey Fingolfin, HOW DID YOU GET SO MANY FUCKING POSTS OH MAH GAWD. xD
OMG 666 POST COUNT. >.> I WILL KILL YOU ALL.
Will there be special units that aren't heroes, but are like, well known people in the world? They could be able to have certain buffs for the faction based on how much they kill, which could earn them 'medals' and such, how's that?
How about planes? In the War, I've seen people mark their planes with the number of kills they have, do those count in this game too?
You probably don't have to mark them but it would be fairly simple to store these into a system addicted to AutoIndex, AIDS, UnitIndexer![]()
Hm... It'll give some sense to keep stuff like planes alive more often instead of merely spamming them and losing tons of dollars, at least that's what the World thinks.
Just curious, how the strategical bombers attack? I mean, they walk-by releasing bombs, or just attack normally like any other unit in WC3?
Cool! I like it.
And what about the fighters? Is there any way to implement some dogfighting? Lol kidding XD. But maybe make the fighters use an attack like hit-and-run, or make a more complicated and more realistic one.
My idea is something like this: first, the fighter gets in a line of its target (imagine a P-40 getting on the line of a Zero, like aiming), then it starts to fire, the shots works like a shockwave, and finally, when the attacker is close to its target, it turns to evade collision.
I know it sounds too complicated, but well... just giving ideas XD
Mmmm okay. And have you decided which planes each country will use?
Engineer is 'weak in direct combat' but is generally superior to soldier. How come?
It's easy to store them indeed, but why?
Maybe having soldier ranks? Increased bounty for killing a major instead of a private as an example. Maybe gaining aura, buffs, damage etc. Although this would be kinda hardcoded, for each rank and each unit type but you'll make it haha![]()
Yes I remember, maybe it is in the third page. But I just want to know if you both decided, for sure, which planes each country will use. But lets leave it for later, I think we should focus on the land and sea combat for now.
So... how's the progress with the Priest and the Ships?
@xRiotZx: I'm sorry, the problem with this is that you would have to assign new units to your groups constantly, whenever someone dies, and sometimes you'll just be sending one or two units to escort your tanks, and it is generally just an inneficcient system that would leave you with a billion groups with two or three members, and equally many squad references for the system to keep track on.
You guys shouldn't get carried away with this whole ranking thing, we will not be having units that are one-man armies. I am starting to partially like the idea though, it doesn't have to be a prominent feature of the game, but more like something in the background - your units could be either unexperienced, experienced, or very experienced - and this would only have very minor effects to attack cooldown and speed (and maybe hp).
