OOC: The only being that can survive without AER at full strenght are the Kianor ^^, and maby you could make the Evil and good flows Elenai...

OOC: I theorize (Gath may or may not want to use this) that evil and good aer flow the same way. Only that they are different in the type of magical aura they radiate. The flow acts kind of like a river, and the shining light I spoke of earlier could be a kind of radiation (not in the nuclear sense) that emenates from the core of the aer flow. The aer in connection with the soul creates that light. (the soul being the spirit of the person, the aer being the power scource)

OOC: Sounds good, but why not just have both darkness and light in a person, but that in some people the light side is higher/bigger and the dark side the same...

OOC: ok here something to add to the Aer thing. Everyone has both light and dark Aer inside them the two sides offtin fight each other inside the hosts body cause extrime weaknesses in special places and diffferent times. Example: Like inside a large evil dudes fortress all of the evil spells and dark magic at work may cause your dark Aer to go crazy.

IC: "then i say we go through with the bombs, but about the teams i think we should each choose 3 people who we think will be the best for the job."

IC: "As you wish. I will choose some from my personal guard. Each one as you know, are highly trained officers. Whom will you choose?"

Gath had a strange smile on his face "Shun Winger The Shapeshifter, Sharania Grump The Cursed Mage(the cat that was training Kamir), and my younger brother Jake Stormer." (he usally does not talk about him because hes only his step brother but jake is a very good human mercenary though for Gath he will work for free because they brother. Also Shun Winger is a High Elf and a very good warrior and friend of Gath hes part of the class called beast master but shapshifting is his specialty.) "I will need to borrow a communication orb though."

Elenai chuckled to himself.

"You really have been away from the Flying Kingdom for far too long. Language orbs are obsolete now. Have a look at the new and improved Visage sphere functions."

Elenai tapped some runes and began to speak into the sphere.

"Alas Telas Etheriel".......The sphere reverberated back with a magical echo..."Ashek Gak Etheriel"....Celestial Elven to a low dialect of dwarfin.

 

[Gath_Stormer]

"fine then," Gath walked up to it and looked at it. He turned a around with a horribly embarrissed look on his face "how do you use it."

 

[Elenai]

Elenai put the sphere into Gath's hands and said. "just tap the runes in this sequence"....Elenai revealed the sequence.

 

[Gath_Stormer]

Gath called and spoke to his choosen team then turned around to Elenai and spoke "they will be here shortly but till then I think we should deside how we are going to do this entery"

 

[Elenai]

"I have been working on a spell that will get us into the fortress. It's nearly blasphemous, but Etheriel will forgive us in this noble cause. It will disquise us from even the most cunning of their rotten senses. Only Arrillon could have sensed our presence, and even then his mind would know great doupt, fore he would think himself paranoid."

"We will go by airship. Our pilot will drop us off, and wait for the renevou time. We will sneak in as supply slaves. Carrying the disquised explosives. We will then make our way with our seperate groups into the main chambers of the citadel. And place them within."

"I know what you are thinking Gath. You are thinking why not use invisibility? Well I considered it but we have to carry these or carry them in cargo, and invisible elves moving cargo is suspicous. And we cannot make the explosives invisible, because the enchanted alchemicals would react violently and explode in our faces".

After walking for about 2 hours, The Kianor stopped
"Why do you stop?" Kamir asked
the Kianor said nothing, he grabbed a crystal out of his backpack and put it in a crack in the ground, suddenly, the ground opened up and there was a stair going down, but it were huge steps.
"Here, I will carry you" the kianor said and picked him up, he walked in and behind him the opening shut, for a moment it was very dark, but after they came across a courner, Kamir was blinded by huge crystals, after his eyes got used to it, he saw that they weren't even at the end of the stairs, it continiued for a very long wile, then the Kianor put the crystal in another hole , this time in the wall and the wall in front of them opened up, It was even more beautifull then the stairway, the buildings were completely build out of crystals, moving things everywere, and not all were kianor, Suddenly another Kianor came walking, He made some complex but beautifull sounds.

"This is a landdweller" the kianor who had traveled with Kamir said
Again the beautifull sound of the other Kianor.
"I know, but this one saved my life, maby we could even learn from him."
Kamir did not hear the rest of the conversation, becouse he was too facinated by everything he saw, He had never seen such huge and beautifull crystals.

OOC: Imagine a flying silver city with tall spires and long bridges, rainforests and fields of exotic flowers, filled with waterfalls cascading down mountains all wrapped in clouds. (thats just a summary)

Then you have smaller floating islands with the same description around it.

Of course there are also crystals every where. But the most stunning feature, is the pale lights that are like small stars floating amongst the green grasses. And when it rains...it is like the life of the heavens washes across the land.

"great idea Elanai now all we have to do is to get togather a few ten thousand warriors and mages to assult the fortress after we blow the bombs."

"We will have to obtain support and permission from the Silverstar council for a full scale assault. My entourage was sent to find artifacts, and assess the threat posed by the Necromantic rise. And to find it's scource. Which we have yet to find."

"Arrillon was but the king the chess game. We must now find the player."

(actually queen, being thats the strongest piece in the game, but Arrillon is ofcourse a man....)

Darwin was listening to the elves. (how he got there was a mystery) Hearing them talk about attacking undead, suddenly he got exited and wanted to join them. You he stepped out of his hiding and asked if he could come along

OOC: .....are you talking about me and Gath as the elves?....Because if you are, I must tell you that we are still up in the sky going to Silven Tiran in an airship.

Elenai imagines the splat the dwarf made when he fell 3000 feet to the earth from the sky.

"The Sun Elves? What can they do?"

The two Kianor were finished with talking, the Kianor wich was with Kamir said "Come, I know a place were you can learn from us and we can learn from you."
Kamir followed him, after a while walking, they walked into a huge crystal building, the door was Huge, even in comparison to the Kianor, they walked in and found themself into a room wich was lighted with no particular light source, it seemed like the walls itself gave light, The Kianor walked to a wall Kamir walked with him, suddenly the wall fell into pieces, the Kianor walked trough the new hole, Kamir followed and behind him, the little pieces of crystal flew into the air forming a new wall, It was a door, Kamir thought, and he then looked at the room, "This is our Library and research lab" Kamir looked around but only saw walls, and a hole in the wall "were are the books and research stuff?" kamir asked
the Kianor walked to the hole, and he talked into it, Suddenly, a book came falling out of the ceiling, and a pedestal came out of the ground were the book fell on "Wow!" kamir was amazed. "And you do this all without the use of Magic?"
"Yes, we do"
Kamir walked to the book, It was a script of Weird signs
"I can't read it"
"Don't worry, every time you say something, it gets stored and translated, And I ordered it to make a translation book for you, every time it translates something, it wrights it down in both our and your language."

OOC: A nice look at Kianor technology ^^

OOC:You can do the same thing with magic by that book probly just formed from nothing. Whitch you can also do with magic. Im not impressed. well except for the translation thingy magic probly cant do that.

OOC: Censestrail Elves? I thought it was Celestial Elves. And wouldnt the Celestial Elves have ground forces equal in number to Sun elves? After all we live on a small flying continent that hasnt been attacked or even known of outside of myth and ledgend for hundreds of years. Wouldnt that greatly improve the chances of having a strong military/population/country.

Living on a floating continent would actually totally kill your need for ground forces (although you might have a strong naval/aerial presence, if you needed it). Living on a "continent" in the middle of the sky that no one else can reach, that is only a myth to outsiders, and has never been attacked would totally kill your need for any sort of military at all, unless you have a multitude of important colonies that are frequently attacked. Arts of war would become sports or hobbies, if they survived at all. As it is now, there is absolutely no reason that Celestial elves are anything but magical researchers with lots of leisure time.

OOC:.....SILENCE THOU FOOL!!!! We have ground forces. We actually need many ground forces. We are constantly sending out people all across Darjis at the same time (in disquise) to find magical artifacts and tomes of lore in very dangerous places. We are however very sneaky about it.

OOC: Then Celestial elves would be proficient at espionage (and related things), but hardly anything else. Even if your army served some sort of purpose other than protection of the country and citizens (perhaps ceremonial, or religious), it would at best have no large-scale combat experience.

OOC:....These soldiers are proficient in battle, They are many. NOT A HORDE!!. But still alot. The Celestial Elves are smart enough to know that they need a powerful army. And they have kept one. They go about and collect magical artifacts, they also have to escort them to the ships, then to the Flying Kingdom. Also these elves are devoutly devoted to Etheriel (the Celestial god) And Necromancy is a heresy to Etheriel, so these soldiers are often sent out to assess Necromantic activity and kill them or destroy their fortresses (This requires a hammer like strength to crush these fortresses). Trust me Teh-Ephy. The race I created have a powerful soldiery. These are not the weak hit and run hide in trees kind of elves. (they do that, but thats only one tactic in their arsenal) They are also quite capable of hand to hand battle charge combat.

Thus as a summary: Magical artifact/tome gathering = requires the "scalpel" of the Celestial Elven military

Crushing Necromantic threats and evil things that are within their domain (the area under and near the flying kingdom) = requires the "hammer" of the Celestial Elven forces. We often try to strike hard and fast. So that we uttery destroy the enemy without showing to much of our identity. Thus thats why there are myths and ledgends about us. But not real good facts about our existence other than...

"A wave of soldiers wrapped in starlight battered our fortress to the ground with magical fire. Like arrows the fire was, as it streaked across the battle field and broke our stone battlements. Then they charged at us and struck us down. It was as if the very gods sent their fury down upon our spirits."

...This wrapping of light is a spell that we use to hide our identity and inspire divine fear in our enemies, however, this spell only lasts so long, as you cannot hide an army in blinding light for very long. Thats why we strike as hard as we can as fast as we can. And if the light fades, We are exposed and the battle becomes truely serious. (This normally only happens when we fight a powerful enemy that requires a siege that lasts longer than what we intended) But these are usually rare.

OOC: Ah, then they make frequent attacks on strongholds of necromancy (lucky Stanth >_>... they're all necromancers because it makes it easy to kill undead. The enemy of my enemy is my friend? That merits discussion in the New Roleplay thread). Really though, if you live on an island in the middle of the sky, and don't expect to be attacked, it isn't immediately obvious that you have an experienced army to attack necromancers' castles. Mere escorts for covert recovery of magical artifacts doesn't imply nearly the need of armed forces as frequent attacks on necromantic bastions. Sorry for dragging the thread off-topic... although I take full credit for provoking you into revealing all that nice lore, which we should pester Gath into sticking in the New Roleplay? thread.

OOC: The Kianor almost know nothing about land dwellers, so they don't have an army, they have weapons though, becouse they use it for sports or for self protection, not a orginized army though...

OOC: i kind of gave up on the roleplay thread everytime i ask someone to help me with the map i get injored. and the sun elves are a very strong force as well and there constent battling with the orcs undead and having no allies meaning no help makes them create probly about half the censestral force bigger then the censestral forces. (that kind of confusing lets say censestrial forces are like 4 meaning the sun elves would be 4 + half of the censestrial forces making them 6). I agree the censestrial forces have a need for a large military force but there suprime technology and being far from any need for a huge defensive military make them develope more and more magical and technology then train more troops. So i guess i will end this in the fact that the censestrial forces have a large military force but the sun elves are bigger making them the likely people the call for aid in a huge seige like MALASTAR (i thinkl thats how its spelled).
PS please post that lore in the New Roleplay thread so i can have easy acsess to it. also the Morlune due where are you you havent posted in a while.

PSS Morlune please give us a basic layout of your fortresses defensive capiblities.

OOC: Ok that makes sense. The Celestial Elves would be like the U:S (smaller military man-wise but lots of tech) Compared to old Soviet Russia (lots of men and less tech)

OOC: dont compare Sun elves to russia compare us to china the sun elves almost like a horde probly, But they are all very skilled warriors not just a bunch of random dudes that relie on raw power in numbers to take people down.

OOC: My comparison was in essense comparing the tech oriented U:S army during the Cold war to the less tech but more people oriented Soviet army. But I suppose that China makes a good substitution.

OCC: Well china the school system all through there lifes the kids are suposed to have a perfection and they teach them on that one perfection all there lifes so SUn elfs arnt like that they learn just about everything. and China's army numbers 2 million the largest army in the world.
