They definitely still have a lot in store for Warcraft, World of Warcraft isn't completed yet and they already saw how popular Warcraft III was, there'll be some surprise soon that would knock players off their feet again I guess.
I wouldn't mind, anything that keeps the Warcraft storyline going is fine with me.
Warcraft III has the potential to survive for a really long time even without it being soon though, so that wouldn't be much of a problem.
In fact, it would be more of something to inspire players and give them more ideas about lore based maps as well, since the storyline would be expanded with the expansions![]()
Wrong: no achievements when offline. A subtle thing, but it just shows how they really don't like you playing without being attached to them.... but the singleplayer is completely free to play with no internet.

Funny how almost every other achievement system in the universe can synch offline achievements to online without risk of hax.I guess that's just another anti-cheater measure.
I lol'd. Why do you think the game would run slowly on computers when you can obviously see that blizzard's games are all optimized. I can even run starcraft 2 on my shitty laptop from 5 years ago on low settings.First of all, because it would take a great computer to run it, which is a huge disadvantage in strategy games, warcraft 3 was designed for pretty much any computer.
No. There are several aspects of the lore which haven't been touched yet.In theory there should but with the current WoW running the war3 story, what would they make? The brother of the brother of Arthas? The long forgotten ancestor of Deathwing? Or remake the story from where it ended in War3 TFT?
Then praytell, why would Warcraft IV be designed any differently?First of all, because it would take a great computer to run it, which is a huge disadvantage in strategy games, warcraft 3 was designed for pretty much any computer.
Your conclusion is almost identical to your premise. Or is it the other way around?[...] because it would be almost identical to warcraft 3, since inventing new concepts is not likely.
I doubt it could live up to people's impracticable expectations. While I'd love warcraft 4, I doubt it could even live up to half the potential warcraft 3 has.
dont u guys think there should be a warcraft 4? wc3 was a total success, and people are still crazy aboot it! a new story... new races... how about we wipe out the humans? y not? now they have sc2 and there is a lot of angry people complaining about LAN. wc3 is dieing of age, and wow, is making problems for those not wanting to pay, or get all those endless expansions...
should there be a warcraft 4?
It has nothing to do with any of the franchises already existing.Blizzard could be making a new Warcraft game with their upcoming project said to be released in 2013 called Code name:Titan. Without any leaks on info of this project yet it is unknown of what this could be.
good fing job then, but for those of you who have played an illegal wow server or own one (like me) i tell you, it gets really boring really fast... i want to have another customizable strategy game with elves and orcs and humans and undead with endless storyline possibilities and a easy way to shape the game... easy triggers and an addictive editor... wtf blizard must be so retarded if they cant see that that would blow up the market, and everyone would be after the game... bloody hell... sc2 is only for bnet, and i wana have lan parties... if they could change that, and a few other things, the game might be adequate, but they destroyed sooo m uch simply because of marketing... lets be honest... wow... well... for those of you who follow up, will know that it lost a HUGE amount of players since cataclysm... and they need to get back on track... if not warcraft 4, then at least they should make another fantasy strategy...
Maybe if they stepped back and went into some of the deeper history of all the races, kinda like what their doing with SC2. Start with the origin of the Elves, then go to Humans, and then the Orcish Horde's origins on Drenor. The undead would either have to be chopped or assumed that the player has played War3, since its origins are more or less explained in game. Or they could go over how Ner'Zhul discovered his powers.
Just have to think outside the box a little.
the plot is not a problem, there is a million different possibilities... the problem is:
1 computer compatibility
2 editor
3 gameplay
4 lan
thats all... if they get that with a nice looking game, i prommise u they will have a bestseller... they are just too woried about WoW, which is dieing anyway lol
Warcraft 4 doesn't have to take place AFTER the events of the prequels, it can be BEFORE
For example in Draenor or something
