Warcraft III - But Another Race 1.4 - Rising of new Dawn


Hello everyone!


This is my first map creation. I do not recommend playing it with the Reforging version.

I'd like to introduce you to two new races (for now). I have plans to add two more races in the future,
but I would appreciate your feedback on this map, especially regarding balancing and bug reports.

Patch 1.4 Rising of New Dawn will release 25/10/2023

High Elven is the first faction I attempted to create. As you know, I started learning how to make this map from scratch. When I was designing this faction, I using a lot of melee skills, and I wasn't sure how to make it more advanced. This led to High Elven being too simple and lacking uniqueness. I've made several changes to this race to introduce a new gameplay style. Nevertheless, High Elven continues to excel as masters of arcane arts!

Patch 1.3 Arachnid Revolution at 11/10/2023
- fix Replenish Mana's position is moved when autocast is on.
- fix Aviary Training has Egg
- fix Arachnid Assault's position int he learn ability menu is way too down/low.
- fix some map can't Trained Heroes
- Improve Evolution System for Arachnid units! When Larva, Broodling, or Nerubian use the evolution ability, it will automatically select those units.
- When the game is starting, and a player chooses the Undead race, Blight will not affect the map after choosing another race.

(Make it cheaper and weaker. Because i want them to be more suicide Squad!. just kidding hahaha
I believe they don't have much potential for play. If I want to allocate some resources for certain situations, this unit is often a less popular choice. Therefore, I want to make it more unique and useful with the abilities to slow and silence.)

After this patch, I believe the Arachnid Race is more balanced, and I may not change any abilities after this. However, I will still adjust some stats. I hope you enjoy my map :). I'm very determined to make it better.

ผมคิดว่าตัวมันไม่ค่อยมีศักยภาพซักเท่าไหร่ เวลาที่ผมอยากจะจ่ายทรัพยากรในบางสถานการณ์ ยูนิตตัวนี้จะอยู่ในลำดับควาสมสำคัญหลังดลย ดังนั้นผมเลยอยากให้มันมีประโยชน์มากขึ้นด้วยการ slow และ Silence)

I have reimagined the Pyromancer's abilities to make her a truly unique hero. While she still excels as an intelligent damage dealer, her repertoire has expanded beyond just fire spells. She now wields a variety of elemental spells, allowing her to harness the power of fire, water, earth, and air, making her a versatile elemental mage.

- Change her class from Pyromancer to Elementalist
- Change Ability from Summon Larva Slime to Summon Larva and Frost Slime

Summons a Lava Slime, a resilient and deadly fire creature. As a Lava Spawn deals damage, it consumes the flesh of its target, eventually splitting into two healthy Lava Slime.
Lasts 60 seconds.

Level 1 - 250 hit points, 7 - 9 damage.
Level 2 - 350 hit points, 9 - 11 damage.
Level 3 - 450 hit points, 11 - 13 damage.
Attacks ground units.
Summons a Lava and Frost Slime, two elemental beings of contrasting natures. If either of them is defeated, they split into two healthy Lava and Frost Slimes.
Lasts 60 seconds.

Gives a 15% chance that an attack will trigger the casting of a random spell. If this spell is cast, it consumes 20 mana. However, if her mana falls below 100 points, this ability cannot be activated.

Well let me congratulate you on a good map for Broken Shard at least because I wanted to download one of the maps to play the custom factions. I played the High Elves and I'm not sure if it is just with this map but there was a major flaw in the fact they didn't have a building to increase the food count a farm etc. I had to use pointbreak in order to keep playing my session with them because all my workers took my food limit. Other than that I like it and hopefully the Arachnids don't have a similar problem because I haven't played them yet. But seriously great map and faction with the High Elves.

Me again good mapmaker. I found a big problem with the latest 1.3 version of the map with the Broken Shard map at least. Mainly with both High Elves and Arachnid you can't summon your first hero at your town hall equivalent's first level which I have here pictured here for the Arachnid and the High Elves don't have the Pyromancer to select at all. not to mention when I played High Elves when I maxed out the town hall equivalent it only let me summon two of the three heroes. I thought you should know. Other than that Great map and thank you for fixing the High Elf housing thing.

The melee units and base should not appear before the list of races is created and used because you might end up having blight that is then removed making the terrain ugly.
Replenish Mana's position is moved when autocast is on.
Sky Guardian has hero glow and no decay animation.
Aviary Training has Hatch Egg which means you can build and train Arachnid stuff.
Arachnid Assault's position int he learn ability menu is way too down/low.
The egg system is very tedious. The larva and units that are supposed to evolve should upgrade themselves instead of first turning into eggs that deselect them requiring another click.

Overall, a nice implementation that would need more custom abilities (since many are reskinned/renamed regular abilities) and gameplay mechanics (especially for the high elves).

Thank you for your feedback. I'm currently investigating the issue with the Altar of Arcane, specifically regarding units trained. It might be related to another problem.I will work on fixing it as soon as possible ☺️
