Hello sir/s, I've been making my own custom race and was hoping that it could be a part of the map.
It's my hobby to create new races though. The race is Nathrezim/Wretched. it is somehow similar to either undead/forsaken.
I had the idea from Turnro's Resurrection of the Scourge. The race is currently in progress. I can give more information or description about it.

My description for the race - Nathrezim or Wretched is the real undead. When you think about undead it's suppose to be bones, rotting flesh and all that dead stuff, but blizzard wanted to put stuff like spiders and bats. and everything went away from the "living" dead to some trick or treat stuff. So I made a race that focuses on the theme flesh and bones. The nathrezim or wretched is basically the undead or remains of humans that were attacked during the invasion of the scourge. They are the undead who were separated from the lich king.

Okay for the buildings some are pretty same with forsaken buildings. However, I tried to make it a bit different somehow.
There are two farms and two high elven barracks right?? The purpose of those are to be upgraded. The original farm which probably would have 5/6 food and you can upgrade it to high elven farm with higher food provided. The high elven barracks would provide the upgrades for the units in it.

There are six towers (except for the scout tower) because I had an idea to use towers in tech trees. the first three towers (the arcane stuff and not the guard and cannon tower) would provide higher or stronger upgrades for units. im still unsure where because im still working on their abilities.

Units. Like i said before it is mostly zombies or flesh and bones. so most of them are really undead and some of them are the ones bringing the death. I decided to include the flesh golem, coz it somehow sticks with it. it feels like a part of the wretched. Like a bunch of corpses are glued together to make a giant golem. The frost wyrm is pretty similar to the original one but this one has a fly/crawl ability where it walks or flies and i am planning to add a breath of frost ability to it. but I originally planned an undead gryphon rider from ujimasa hojo's resources but it has a hero glow and I cannot remove it.

btw, I still do not have the heroes. maybe in a few days or in a week

Sounds interesting. I would suggest that you take your time with the faction. Think of some more ideas for how to to really make the faction stand out against the rest.
I dont really get the whole Nathrezim or the Wretched vipe. Maybe, as a suggestion, try a different name.
Heroes a definitely important, just try to make them as interesting, yet balanced, as you can.

So ive downloaded a lot of maps that say they are custom races but i dont get any custom race options how do i get the custom races to work?

You have to place the file into your Custom maps or downloads folder - wherever you keep the map files. Then play that map. It doesn't change the entire Warcraft 3 game to add new factions.

I'm new here, i would try use at borderlands map with random races choices, i have the frozen throne 129.2.9231 version

Hi, MarcosP. We currently not support other maps yet. When the time is come, we will allow players to enjoy better/well-optimized terrain. For now, stay tune.

Hello Developers! I somewhat what to produce my own custom race but dont have the knowledge to make my own ultimate battle sort of map so i want to contribute in some way. Im not sure if i posted this already but anyways...
Currently working on a race called Ancient Elves... They are basically the ancestors of the Night Elves. Instead of the night elves being all tree huggy i based the Ancient Elves to be much more moon loving elves.
TBH, I dont play WoW and have no idea or background about the other races in the game but I just like warcraft and I had this race idea for a while but I wasn't able to finish it due to lack of ideas, and since I lost the first trial race i tried I tried making a night elf one...

Artisan - the worker
Night Stalker - basic melee unit which cloak and dagger and perma invi
Ranger - highly skilled archer
Ballista - im still unsure about what makes this one unique
Enchantress - supporting spellcaster
Charmer - disabling spellcaster
Moon Prophet - versatile spellcaster
Glaive Maiden - elite warrior to sustain damage
Moonlight Knight - basically knight from humans
Dreadwing - the same kind of dreadwing on the maeiv vengeance campaign
Priestess of the Moon - this one has its upgrades based on the level of master training of each spellcaster...

Second is Heroes

From left to right:
Ranger General - different kind of original priestess of the moon, can slow enemies using moon chill and poison arrows and help allies using blessing of the goddess and elune grace
Fiend Hunter - somewhat the blademaster with elven touch. Can hide using meld and slay enemies with fervor and moon punishment and burst out enemies with elune judgment
Battle Priestess - spell caster which focuses on the battlefield. bursts enemies using ancient current, and mana burst. supports allies using lunar blessing, and strengthens itself with moonlight
Inquisitor - defense and disable kind of hero. disables enemies using moon strike and energy burst. tanks damages using armor of the moon and hand of elune.

As you might see, the heroes, the units and the entire race is lacking uniqueness... but i still want this idea of mine to be part of it.
I'm working on this race of my slowly so i wont purge myself

Is this mod updated for Reforged, or is it going to be? Never modded Reforged before, and there are many mods I'm interested in trying.
