The new Order: The Ironforge Alliance

As Arthas sits upon the Frozen Throne, his loyal servants spread across the continents, seeking total domination. While Kel’Thuzad holds sway over much of Lordaeron, Lord Falric—once a proud captain of its guard—pushes southward, leaving destruction in his wake and showing no mercy to the living.


Meanwhile, the dwarven kingdom of Khaz Modan, largely untouched by the Scourge’s wrath, rises as a beacon of hope. Under King Magni Bronzebeard’s leadership, the dwarves begin to rally the remaining human and allied kingdoms, forming a renewed front against the growing threat.

Join Magni as he seeks new allies and prepares for a final confrontation with the forces of the undead.

Will the Ironforge Alliance rise to triumph—or fall like the shattered remnants of the Lordaeron alliance?


Characters:


Magni Bronzebeard
King of Khaz Modan, Magni Bronzebeard has taken up a leadership role in the renewed alliance of dwarves and humans, following in the footsteps of Terenas Menethil. He is determined to see Arthas and his followers brought to justice for the death of his brother, Muradin.




Aliden Perenolde
King of Alterac, a fallen kingdom that was dismantled after the Second War. Aliden harbors resentment toward his father and the other human rulers, blaming them for the downfall of his nation. He now leads his scattered people as a nomadic group, seeking a place in a world that has moved on without them.




Genn Greymane
The ruler of Gilneas, a kingdom known for its isolationist stance. Genn long resisted involving his nation in external conflicts, believing the dangers of orcs and undead were too distant to concern him. With the fall of Lordaeron, however, that belief is beginning to change.




Tandred Proudmoore
Admiral of Kul Tiras, still mourning the recent loss of his predecessor. Having lost both his father and brother to the orcs, Tandred holds deep resentment toward the Horde. However, the growing threat of the undead forces him to consider that orcs may not be the only danger his people face.




Lord Falric
Once a respected captain of Lordaeron’s guard, Falric has since fallen into darkness. Now serving the Scourge, he carries out his grim duties with ruthless efficiency. Though twisted by undeath, his lingering feelings toward Arthas—both loyalty and betrayal—continue to drive him.

Important notes:
  1. This map does not promise or guarantee any form of quality. Players might find the campaign not to their liking as it is Not the same quality as a blizzard campaign. So please don't expect quality like some of the big custom campaigns out there. This is just an alpha and I am also kinda busy with university. (tho i hope to improve the campaign with a big update when i can find the time)
  2. This is supposed to be the start of a series of (halfbaked) campaigns that are meant to be the sequel of the frozen throne. This sequel is called "the new order"
  3. This map tries to follow warcraft 3 lore mostly and not wow. This will not always be consequent. However, muradin is dead for real. Stormwind is still destroyed and does not play a major part in the campaign.
  4. English is not my first language.
  5. I hope that if you decide to play the campaign, you will enjoy it somewhat! If not, then my apologies, but no need to curse it down all to the bottom of the ocean as I have seen happen to numerous other campaigns made by beginners.

Mission 1
call to arms on dwarf workers do not work
Why do you have 3/3 melee and 3 range damage but 0 range armor?
cutscene with gryphon riders it refers to them as wildlife dwarfs. Conversation after killing undead outpost the dwarfs are now called wildlhammer dwarfs

items not carrying over

nothing new

Mission 4
level went down to 3 with exp maxed at 500/500
workers will not repair ships, they just kinda of sit there and will repair greens boats but not mine

Hotkey for war golem in barracks is missing
call to arms is working now on worker units

Mission 6
was straight forward nothing really noticeable

Mission 7
Golems can not walk into cave system past yellow there is not enough space


There are some pathing issues of several of the maps idk if its a reforge issue or something else. Units tended to line up 1 by 1 in like the bigger open areas
Overall it was fun playthrough.

Thank you for the feedback. The items not carrying over will be fixed. Strange that the greenpeasants did not repair your ships. I will look into that as well. Glad you enjoyed it.

  4. Neutral hostile units don't give experience past level 5. Maybe intended.
  5. Destroying Nekros' Town Hall says the orcs won't bother the player anymore. True but some of Perenolde's goons still go there. Not only that but they also remain there if there's nothing to destroy.
  6. During the intro in chapter 3 you get "mission failed". Happened during the villagers running part. Restarted and it didn't happen again. Weird. Actually, I keep getting mission failed even a few seconds after the intro. It's because of a low HP footman getting killed by a bandit in the southeast.
Pretty borderline Simple-Recommended. Overall, pretty basic.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Can it be played in classic?
Although the recommended version shown is 1.30, the assets (models etc.) used are for Reforged. I think before the custom campaigns feature were put back into the game, mappers added Reforged maps into older game version campaign files as a workaround. So, no, it doesn't work properly for Classic sadly, unless you want to see missing unit textures (they look like shadows).
