Thanks for the criticism WerBackIII. The base thing is not what you say it is. You have a base, its just not the thing you upgrade. The tier building is simply the barracks. The chaos, well I will try to fix it a bit, though its not that strange after you've played a couple of times. I may have overdid the unit count though, so I will do my best to lower it. And about the satyrs, no worker unit attacks automatically. You need to attack move it to a point for it to become aggressive.
Anyway updates are on their way ;)

Modo: Use a sort of summon ability to make them timed... sadly that will make it cost mana, not gold/wood, but that can be fixed if you make a research called, for example, "Chicken Feed", that, when you research it, you get +100 mana.
Set the levles of the research to 100, or more, and make the unit that summons these chikens have 0 mana regen. SO in the end, you have a building/unit that can summon a chicken, but it has to use the research to gain more mana, and thus create chickens...

Or you can just make the whole food system mana based, and then you dont have to bugger with this :D

Rotting Tide WIP

Well, here's my WIP, its kinda late here, so Ill just brief you in in all the known problems:

- One of the heroes, the Skelagon, has his ultimate (Freezing Breath) spell bugged.
- The race still seems to be too strong, so nerfing might become a major issue here...
- The item shop, and its items are not implemented yet.

Well, thats all I know about whats wrong with the race... If you find something, let me know ;)

To everyone who didnt read from first post: My race is an alternative Undead, who actually use corpses to raise their armies, and rely on a combination of large numbers and mobility to destroy the enemy...
Note: To get workers, use the "Raise Workforce" on the Carrion Carriers. Also remember that the recources are taken to Carrion Carriers! Good luck, and have fun!

Note: New map has been added, so this WiP is outdated...

I just finished my second hero, he appears to be well rounded. I am trying to put a story into my race without deviating too much from a normal melee race. If I embelish too much, it doesn't seem to be that much of a race, as least in my eyes.

I now have my buildings made (i think there is 16) and the ideas for the troops, 3 of which are made. My builder is done. Majority of abilities and upgrades are not. It gets a little confusing when you've been awake for so long it feels like your brain is throwing up inside your head.

matyko: thanks for the summoning chicken idea. i had that same idea, but i don't want a food system reliant on mana. Maybe a "pocket factory" ability would be good for my purpose, I best try it (I just thought of it then). I have already made a "Battery Farm" where chickens go to become battery chickens. Perhaps these won't have a timed life, i dont know yet.

This may sound off-topic, but I assure you it isn't.

I am basing my Draconian Warmongers off the humans, but I am unable to remove the Call To Arms ability. I am not using it and it deleted from my workers and Town Hall variants. Does anyone know how I can fix this or do I just have to deal with it.

Frostwhisper: Man, no tooltips ARE stressfull in your WIP, but the race itelf is quite nicely built, though I have to agree that when you play with it the first time, you dont know what on earth you should do... caotic like hell... but then you get used to it :D

Modo: What do you mean by unable to remove Call to Arms? You delete it in the abilities and active abilites tab but it still apears?

Yay, another UD race! Competition will be tight, with so many people doing smilar things! I love it!

ps: heh, I just noticed, my map is named matyoWIP...well, it seems I cant even spell my own name right ><

I've had that bug before. The only way to remove it is with triggers.

So if you must, go change your town hall to the orc great hall, and change the races and stuff.

OK, Since all this things with the human race were pain in the arms I decided to change all races, with 1 new race included. And since there's no supporting race for the Scourge (the Orcs are resembling more the New Horde, not the Demonic one) I decided to make a Fel Orc race.

What's interesting about this race? There's no revolutionary systems in it. It's more evolutionary. Has weak heroes at lower level, which are used only as a support to the army, which, without heroes is weak. The only hero which is not weak and is perfect for assaults, is the Pit Lord, with Shokwave, Thunderclap, Reincarnation and Aura of Death, which basically drains hit points and mana from enemy units around him and reduces their attack speed. I'll try to make this aura give the drained points to the Pit Lord. The other heroes are a Warlock, who's good at summoning elemeentals into a battle, Demon Leader, master of all kinds of auras, Blademaster, really effective for making quick attacks, and Axemaster, something like the blademaster combined with the Tauren Chieftain. There are also some changes for all races:


-Heroes increased to 5, Human have 6
-New Hero for Night Elf: Pandaren Brewmaster
-New Hero for Undead: Dark Ranger
-New Heroes for Human: Sea Captain and Ranger
-All races have their Naval Units; Human have 1 new
-The normal Blademaster, the Far Seer, the Tauren Chieftain and the Troll witchdoctor are Buible from the Tavern
-The Orc Peon (Normal One) can be bought from the Mercentaries Camp. He Builds watch Towers, Tauren Totems, Pig Farms and Spirit Lodges.
-The Mur'gul Workers can be bought from the Merc. Camp. They build Altar of Depths, Temple of Tides, Shrine of Azshara, Coral bed, Spawning Grounds and Tidal Guardian
-The Draenei Worker can be bought from the Merchant, Building Seer's Den, Barracks, Boulder Tower and Draenei Haven
-Pandaren Warriors can be bought from the Merc. Camp

-Human Peasants can Build High-elven Farms which produce Workers. High-elven workers can Build High Elven Barracks, All the Towers from the Campaign(without Boulder) and High-Elven Base.

-In the Temple of damned Sceletal mages can be Trained.
-In the Crypt: Skeletal Archers and Skeletal Warriors

Question: Does the AI have to be able to controll the race?
Im making good progress not so far from done.

Zorga, AI cant control my race, for example, and its not in the requirments, so I guess no, AI does not HAVE to be able to control your new costum race.

Just_Spectating, yeah, you've got one hour, witch is way more then enough. When a match has reached a whole hour length, you're likely not using the same units, and If you've been building up for a zerging for an hour... well, sucks to be you ><.
Ive got three WIPs I havent tested yet, but it turns out we CAN do wonders without triggers ^^

Well i had an idea of my race buildings having underwater connetions so you could teleport them from one building to another (works like a waygate teleport) But i havent come up with how to do it,if its posseble without triggers ^^

I hope my map attached properly, this is the first time I have uploaded a map. I plan to incorporate the Call to Arms ability as I have gone too far to go back now with the humans. I know many of the human units still show up, but I think it works ok. Originally the chickens were modified farms, turned into units. DO NOT DO THIS. It is one of the worst ideas ever. They gain so many bugs.

Constructive criticism and feedback would be appreciated. I think my techtree works the way it is, justy need to fix most of the upgrades.

The map doesn't seem to upload, what am I doing wrong.

Just_Spectating, you asked how long the skeletons will last... well, they live for one hour before falling apart...

Modo, press adda ttachments, find the file you want to attack, press ok, scroll down the small window, press upload. Wait until it shows the file in "Uploaded Files", then close the small window. Voila...

Unless he have the same problem as I have, where attachment button doesnt work at all. Oh well, maybe if I upload from an other pc. Going to try that out.

WIP is coming today I think, made some model changes, and wrote down all hero ability's.

Every upgrade should be working smoth and game balance should as far as I know of be complete now.

Well I was just editing and adding some new heroes to tavern but I suddenly discovered a bug with them which caused me this.
I bought my new hero from tavern and after a while I checked the altar and I was able to get one more hero. I think I found the source of problem but its on " gameplay constats". So can I only change that and leave others be or just want me to screw it and replace it with one other?

Okay here's my Beta Race map.
This actualy is the final one, but I doesnt count it as final entry, course I want to be perfectly sure balance is fixed. So feel free to check it out and plz notice me if balance is wrong / bugged.
If no other map is postet after this, then consider this as my entry, but else this is jsut a WIP

Hopefully the real entry will also contain a techtree pic.

The race was the Golden Saints
The thema was gold

And here is the map, this is supposed to be a race idea never seen before. And ideas is copyrighted :p :cool:

btw: had to find a old pc just to attach the map to this post, as my own pc cant use the attachment button.

Oh and ya there is some realy realy anoying "bug" in this, I made a spell based on Disease Cloud, then I changed all units, and buff's connectet to the ability (spell) but ingame when it effects other units it still says the normal name on the effectet unit, as if I never changed the buff. Damn anoying.

I played a game of your golden saints RED BARON and i must say they were overpowered as soon i got toxic warrior and golden saints. I practicly destroyed the enemy in a few minutes when i got them so a lot of balancing is needed. But i think the saints are an interested race!!

WEll thats been the problem all the way, first they was to weak, then to strong.. realy anoying. Okay future blance needed, any suggestions?

A basicly well built race, that even the normal AI can use! Grats on that, makes the game much more fun to see how the AI uses the costum units ^^. Some hero ability icons are bugged, I think the Queen has it... Man, does this race take up a lot of space :/ The models are put together nicely, but some things, like the defensive portals are not to my personal liking... ofcourse, thats just me :)
Im not going to go into the balancing bit until I am smart enough to say something usefull :p

RED-BARONs race:
I like it, but you REALLY should fix the converter bug, it makes things way too slow, imo... The race itself is nicely built, and the jump from weakness to strength is just another thing that makes this many sided race uniqe!

But honestly, make some heroes with something more then "Goldfiner" ;D

My race:
Actually, since the skeletons are summoned units, they can be easily taken care of... try wisps or spell breakers...

Yeah my queen has it. Thats Infest icon of research :p I forgot to put it. Oh my laziness lol. Well I screwed up my latest version causes some bugs ( FATALS OH NO!) with I think these umm tavern dudes so I'll just stick to my plan and make my race without any new tavern heroes but this doesn't mean that I won't edit others =)
