well, my groups don't really have the equipement for radar in a mountain. :/ The only thing with large enough radar to find you is the ship :p But other than that, its immediant area.

*A guard stops, telling the other guard to stop as well. Listening, they begin to hear footsteps, and prepare their weapons.* These aren't the typical guards in games, so, they are not replaceable. Besides, they have Marine training :p They cannot be easily killed, due to their training and equipement. So... since theres only two in the main cavern... have fun... >:3

well, the armour is kindof like the Starcraft Space marines, but not nearly as bulky and ugly :p

Byt yeah, the other 8 are exploring, mapping the caves, and the other 2 guards are making their rounds in another cavern. :p

*The two guards crouch down, and watch as the two strangers pass, heading into the main cavern. They watched as the two grew closer to the beacon. (disc-like yeah, I know that's an umbrella weight :p But the beacon has the same curves excep on the middle, where it finishes the dome, but the disc iasn't as tall near the bottom :p Also is a gray color, with lights on the sides.) They prepared their guns, incase the beacon was destroyed.*

*Rane came down with the hover board and handed it to Nova. Nova took it and turned it on. He pressed a button on his gauntlet and began speaking. "Huntrash, how is it over there?"
The reply came in a series of flashes from the creature. "Ok. I'm coming over." Another short series of flashes, and then darkness. As Huntrash continued its sentry duty, Nova made his way across the lake.*

*Not making any sense of the language, the two marines, have their rifles prepared. Remaining still, they left time by, waiting to see if they continue on. Turning off the volume on their radios, one of the two begins sending messages through, letting the others know that they have guests in the main chamber.* its similar to Morse Code :p

what do you mean? why is it just a sentence? It doesn't make much sense, whether they are talking to the two marines, or to two or more marines coming in, or what? Who is he talking to? Besides, the marines are hidden themselves, and turned off their communications to do Morse Code-like messages. Witht he volume off, one can't hear the noise from the comms devices.

tleno, you wouldn't know if anyone is there. The communications devices aren't like radios, with their crackling and all, so you wouldn't be able to tell if there is anyone there. For all you know, those footprints around the device could've been made a month ago, since the snow and winds don't really go into the cave. Also, I don't remember if it's rock, or snow and ice.

well, the cave all turned to rock, and there are puddles everywhere, so, there isn't much of any footprints except in the snow. But yes, they could be ancient. As far as the position of the guards, I almost have to think that they are behind the same rock. Cause, when they heard footprints, they took cover and prepared their rifles.

or, it could be a few years old :/ Well, they will find out soon enough :p

Well, they may not know its a beacon, due to it being alien technology. Its not like their technology, as they ahven't met the Chozo, but, they will learn of the Chozo, and how to treat them... >:p

lol I can't imagine that the technology used by the military would be all that different than that used by the scientists. It's the same technology, so it would have the same general design. Also, since it is alien technology, all you would know is that it came from another race, but you wouldn't know if it was military or not.

... meh. you probably heard their power suits as they headed for cover anyway :/

*Quickly standing up, the two marines head over to the entrance, aiming their rifles forwards. Upon discovering the pair, they laid their rifles against their helmets, aiming dangerously at the pair. "Kel torrath! Una kor'hal sray'lak!" Their voices were not inquisitive. Their voices were not peaceful. Their voices were not angry, nor enraged. Their voices were strict and loud, the voice of trained marines, and very dangerous marines too. As they said this, one marine soon began pumping out messages with his radio, alerting the others of the situation, and describing the two "guests"*

*Not understanding the language, they keep them under guars in the center of the cavern. Eventually, another pair of marines joined them, and they began talking about the prisoners and what to do with them, though what is said is lost on the scientists' ears.*

.... I am really getting sick of that word due to the current US administration's using it -.- No. I said translator in the mechanical sense due to the faster translating of texts and languages. A person translating it requires books, and several days, even weeks just to translate the words spoken by other races, and then translating them back to the other race. A mechanical translator would have it all done within seconds, and since a machine has a better CPU usage than most creatures, even sentient, the machine can translate it LONG before the person can even finish. THAT is not rascism, that is called practical. And besides, being an elite marine squad, they don't carry along translators (person) due to the likelyhood of little to no military training.

lol. well wasn't attucally suppose to be taken seriously. But ok.
Storm Crusader Fortress Completed the Command Squad Lion walked on board of the space hulk. The computer voice turned on with a female voice, "new coordinates Ice World Name unknown, all forward decks prepare for warp jump in 3.... 2.... 1...."
A Few Seconds later the entire Ship reappered over the ice world. immediately as it fell from space drop pods shot down from its starboard as the brusted through the atmosphere. The drop pods landed with a loud thud onto the ground of the desolate world.
"Asherian's Seeker, we have landed onto the planet, perpare the second wave in 50 hours, we need a encampment dropped in 2 hours. Lemartes take your squad and scout for this beacon." The imposing figure, dwarfed his command squad.
"Captain Calithin, we are ready to move out on your order. Terminator Squad Lucifer will teleport once this storm has passed." The figure who had spoken nodded his head when he spoke these words

wait a minute... did you warp into the system? Past all the asteroid fields and trillions of defense turrets scattered within? If that was safe enough, I would've warped a cruiser in, but instead, I sent a transport through 5 days of hard navigation through the very asteroid field.

...err.... beacon? D: teleport? well that's cheap. ]:/

*Finally, the factory was making good time in its construction. The veins had been tapped, and were abundant in a critical metal for construction. Meanwhile, a squad of marines watched over the two captives, while they turned off the beacon. Informing the transport of the beacon being turned off, the marines take the captives away to a dead-end cavern, away from the other cavers, to be guarded and tied up.*

Var, Terminators are elite troops, their armor's equipped with a long-range teleportation module. About the beacon, I set one down a while ago, but if he has the, they're supposed to increase the accuracy of a teleport.

"Tactical Squad Lucius whats your location?" Calithin voice boomed on the vox channel.
"We are on the southern ridge we are coming up onto a cavern we still need that teleporter. This is a great spot to be expecting a ambush." Lucius and his squad took up a postion over looking the massive cavern.
"Precede over Lucius."
Immediately lucius jumped off the cavern wall landing on the ice lake with a large crack, his power sword slipped into his hand. The rest of his squad followed making similiar impacts into the ice.
"Captain We are making our way to this beacon we are setting up a beacon. Brother Ulero set it up, Brothers form a firing point. Lets get off this ice."
But as soon as they moved one of the brothers holding the heavy weapon slid into the ice. But was resuced by his powerful gripping of his combat knife.
"Brother Calin, are you fine?" Asked Ulero.
"Yes damn must of been the extra weight we had." Replied Calin.
