New Content Discussion [SPOILER]

Nope, the demons won't quit easily :D

"We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in Arkain, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our lands, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender!"

Kersidar's speech before the battle
:D

Tested, and yep. I didnt realize that my first playthrough since i focused only on the demon gates and didnt bother at all with fighting him

What are all the possible heroes you can get for chapter 11? For example, is there any way to get Larine if we made any specific choices?

I don't think so...

Though I have never tried, back in book one, Salana rejecting Gardon's offer and not asking for his aid... which could change things in the second book.

Saphira leaving Salana in Golden Guard version of ch12 makes no sense. She deserted Gardon for all the elves he has enslaved, and yet she leaves Salana to die anyway against the golden guard?

I recall he needs 2 shots to die.
If you manage to get a perfect shot, you can actually one-shot him.
At least I managed to do that twice in the testing rounds - had to aim a bit.

If anyone wants to see the most recent YouTube videos from @YetAnotherYoutuber:

She maybe thought that Salana was already gone and there was no way to bring her back to her senses. Plus they were in the middle of a battlefield, so it is not like Sapphira could heal her.
Maybe she thought that Salana finnaly dying was mercy compared to serving as Gardon's puppet for the rest of her life.

She should have learned the art of dispelling earlier...

Whatever the reason, at least we got one army off our backs. I just wanted to point out that flaw in Saphira's plan however.
Anyway, anyone else feel that the units from the Allied Camps are lackluster for what they are worth?

Defenders, Bowmen and Knights are quite not useful compared to the standard golden guard army.

Damn , chapter 11 as golden guard is tough as hell. It took 12 hours total :p :p .

Finally Executors and dwarvan units made is possible.

I am now a official 1200 hp executioner and ruin priest fanboy

You're in the wrong universe. :p
Arkain allies aren't meant to be strong, they're rather meant to support you slightly in battle.
You mean distract the enemy armies long enough for us to snipe their production with cheesy tactics. :D
Well technically Arkain allies are (somewhat) strong, just that the enemy always has stronger units.

You mean "cheap meat". It is vexing me that my allies are the peak of uselessness. They cant even match enemy attack wave when they meet one.

Btw did anyone manage to break through Gardon's army instead of just cheesing it with airships while they were distracted? If so I'm curious of how you managed it.

Paladins are crazy on micro but they can heal themselves good enough to last.
When I played Gardon half the time I just had Scarlett to silence them with her staff of silence to survive.

I did. Picked Van druce's bonus. Keep lerrig behind because of his war aura. Fully upgraded armor and damage. Front line -executioners( many of those) , paladins, heros. Next line- ruin prists ( for damage bouns and heal) , cross bow men, dwarvan Gryphn riders. Last line- tanks. Literally micro nightmare and it took me 12 hours but I am very happy now. And yes, I planned way ahead so I loaded my heros' inventory with gem of healths beforehand( in chapter 9 ) . When I played the chapter 11 all of my heroes were 2000+ ( Van druce was over 3000). That helped somewhat.

P.S: Executioner in this chapter is probably most OP unit I have ever played with in Arkain campaigns. Way better than elites

P.S: probably paladins and destructors can do the trick as other already mentioned.

I agree. I spammed paladins in that chapter, and researched the high bastion leader. It increases their hp by 200 and damage by 5. Spam heals are very good, you just need to pay attention in battle to heal 24/7 and you probably won't lose any unit or hero.

Just mind the dragons and other flyers.

I believe heros can take care of those if you have bunch of paladins healing the heros.

Aren´t all your heros melee? I find it somewhat embarrassing that van Durce has ulti that is essentially way weaker version of Scarlett´s mark of chaos.

Zarin has orb, even if you just instantly start at level 11 (like me after a data loss). Renald and Praxeus can be solved with Orb of Fire in one slot.

I just realized that Gardon in Ch11 kills Lerrig (if you spared him earlier), regardless. Isn't he kinda idiotic, considering that in the next chapter he will need all the help he can get? Could he not wait until the battle was over to kill Lerrig?

Since Lerrig dies anyway, can his items carry on to the next mission. Pretty please.

What I feel didnt get enough space in these books are inter-character relationships. We know what is Gardon´s and Renald´s relation. Renald is Gardon´s uncle, he never liked him for reasons we all know and all that. But what about Gardon and Merlon? How merlon ended up having Gardon´s amulet of discipline? Salana enslaved by Gardon, Saphira may seek to free her. Larine may seek the same. Will they cross paths? Will they join forces? Who may have the power to free Salana? Rahandir sure does, Aridon too. Neither seems to bother. But Aedale? If I smell right and we get a chance to redeem her, she may talk Gardon into something, or use her vast knowledge of demon magicks to do something. Maybe some succubus un-enchantment trick? And why would king Dorten not let Larine stay with him after Salana got snatched? Im sure if Larine expressed her worries to Dorten he would agree to save her, since Gardon is well known for being brutal leader.

Probably not he was never controllable before 11 and he started out with his items.
You can move Lerrig´s items to some of your other heroes right?
