I-Features


1) Souls : When you kill an ennemy,you take his soul.
Souls replaces the lumber.
Some item can be bought with souls.

2)-1: Materials : New materials have been added :
-Stone
-Lumber
-Silver
-Diamond

2)-2 : Item quality :

-Light (low level : 0 to 15)
-Heavy (low level : 15 to 30)
-Ancient (50 to 200)
-Unique ( 10 to 500
-Elite ( 100 )
-Set (50)

Imagine that you don't want to check every item on the ground,how do you know that an item is important?
Well Runes and special items have a different color.
And Unique and Set item look like this,you can't miss them :

2)-3 : Crafting Items : There is a blacksmith is the main town,you can craft item in his forge. (New materials needed)

2)-4 : Upgrading items : Some items can be upgraded,not all,there is a place where you can do it.

2)-5 : Items drop : Low ennemies drop low level items but there's still a chance to have a higher quality item.

2)-6 : New item stats :
-Life per kill
-Life stolen per hit

-Mana per kill
-Mana stolen per hit

-% chance to cast spell on hit

2)-7 : Chests : Chests spawn randomly when the game starts.
They are well hidden but you should looking for them if you want to be nicely rewarded.

2)-8 : Vitality Charm and Hearts : Your Vitality charm is your main item,you have to keep it in your inventory all the time.
I made it to balance the game,there's no item that gives more HP than it and trust me you'll need a high amount of life to finish the game.
This Vitality charm can be upgraded with "hearts"
Hearts are randomly dropped by ennemies or chest.
To ugrade your Vitality charm you have to put it in the Horadric Cube and click on "Transmute".
Of course you'll need a cetain number of heart to do it.
Here is an exemple of what it does when upgraded :
5 hearts : +200 hp
10 heart : +300 hp
15 heart : +400 hp
(Hearts and other materials are displayed on the screen)

2)-7 : Socketed items and Runewords :
Elite item can be socketed. You just need to find the cube reagent which allows you to do it then you put both items in the Horadric Cube and it gives you the same item with sockets.
Keep it in your storage space in Town and look for Runes.
By putting a Socketed item and runes in a specific order in the Horadric Cube,it will created a Runeword Item which can be even more powerful than unique item.


3) Horadric Cube :
The Horadric Cube is an ancient artefact.
It's a cube with 6 slots and this is where you will make a ton of craft.
In this cube you'll be able to upgrade or make :
-Spirit's items
-Quest Items
-Socketed Items
-upgraded items
-upgraded charms
-Secret recipes

3)-1 : Knowledge level
As you saw it you can use the Horadric cube to craft a lot of items.
But you can't guess the recipes,that's why you need to increase your knowledge level.
Units can drop a "scroll of knowledge",each scroll increases your knowledge level by 1 and reveals you a new recipe.
(There is a quest call "Cube recipes" and it will be updated every knowledge level,so you could see the item,its stats and its recipe)


4) Spells :

4)-1 : Normal Spells : All heroes starts with 4 or 5 spells(WIP)
I want you to be able to customize your hero so you could choose additionnal spells during the game.
Max spell level is 50 so don't worry you would always have something to do.

Wizard spells : (all dammages are based on intelligence)


Necromancer spells : (poison dammages are based on agility and magic dammages are based on intelligence)


4)-2 : Buyable Spells : cancelled (you will find spells by doing "events")

4)-3 : Dropable spells : Cancelled. Replaced by uberquests.


4)-4 : Spirit's spells : What is your spirit?
Your spirit is represented by a unit in Town,this one cannot move or attack or do anything.
It can only carry Spirit's items.
By the way each SLOT is dedicated to a kind of Spirit's Item.
-SLOT 1 : Orbs
-SLOT 2: Gold charm
-SLOT 3 :
-SLOT 4 :
-SLOT 5 :
-SLOT 6 :

So,let's imagine that you drop an orb of fire.
Put it in the Slot 1 of your spirit and that's all,you have the effect.

6) Inventory and storage space solution : As you read it,to break the 6 slots limits I created a system with your spirit,in fact it's like a second inventory but with dedicated items.
About the storage space you have 10 chest in Town. Each chest has 6 slots.
You'll need them to collect unique items,set,cube reagent ect.

7) Mercenaries : I still don't know what to do to make them useful,have to think about it.

8) Shrines : Shrines look like colored pylons and give a powerfull effect during 30 seconds.
There are 5 types of Shrines :
-Green (High HP regen)
-Red (High dammage bonus)
-Yellow (You have an aura of electricity that deals (x) dammage around you every second in a range of 300)
-Magenta (Spawn a pack of elite monsters,which has a chance to drop high quality items)
-Blue (Attacking an ennemy freeze it during (x) seconds)

9) Levelling : Max level should be around 200.
You should be around level 80 before starting the first end game areas.
Don't be impressed it doesn't take that long with highly powerful ennemies.

10) Ennemies

10)-1 General informations :
Almost all ennemies are new (new skin,new color,new attack,new spell)

10)-2 Elemental ennemies :

-Fire ennemies burn you after hitting you,dealing (x) dammage very second during (y) seconds and make a final explosion dealing (xxx) dammage.

-Ice ennemies freeze you during (x) second after hitting you.

-Poison ennemies poison you during (x) seconds dealing (y) dammage every seconds.
(Poison deals less dammage than fire but during more time)

10)-2 Elite monsters : In the Forest there are only basic ennemies,but once you've reached Hell,new type of ennemies appears : Elite Monsters, they are in the middle of a group of ennemies but they have a different color and they may have an aura,moreove they are stronger.
Their charm are more powerful.
Example :
( minor zombie charm : + 50 dmg over 3 sec)
( minor zombie elite charm : + 100 dmg over 3 sec and aura of regeneration lvl 1 )


Golden golem : best way to farm gold, doing golden golem's run is a nice way to start.

11) Mana system

There is no more mana potion and no more cooldown on spells.
Gameplay is really aggressive now
.

Wizard has an automatic mana regeneration which can be improved by items or skills.

Sword Master gains +5 mana every hit.

Necromancer gains +1.5 mana every kill


12) Charms
-Every monsters drop his own charm,it's an item with one of the monster's properties.
-Charms can be sold or use for crafting recipe.
-There are minor,large and grand charms.


Exemple: Giants have a huge amount of life. Giant charm gives +500 hp when equiped.
Crafting recipe (in the horadric cube) : 3 minor giant charm = 1 Large giant charm +1500 hp
And 3 Large giant charm = 1 grand giant charm +4500 hp.

II-Game :

1)Open World : Yes,we can say that it's an open world,areas are delimited but each one has the size of a small map.

1)-2 : 5 huge areas : Yes,there are 5 huge areas :
-The Old Forest (6 quests and 1 Boss) DONE
-The Hell (6 quests and 1 Boss) WIP
-Haroggath (4 quests ) WIP
-The Jumanji (end game area) WIP
-The Lost Island WIP
-

2) End game areas

2)-1 : Rifts : Random ennemies spawn in a random new level;you have to kill enough monsters to allow "The Guardian"(boss) to spawn and you have to kill him.
You'll have to farm Rifts to XP and drop better stuff.
I made a lot of variations to make it completely different every time.
(New bosses,new ennemies,new doodads,new weather, new terrain ect)

2)-2 : The Jumanji :
What is the Jumanji? Probably the last end game area where you will do a lot of runs.
What's special in there? The Jumanji is a large area lost between time and space.
Just roll the dices,it will write an enigma and teleport you into the Jumanji,then find the Exit or die.
To be able to do the Jumanji you will need to be really strong and well equiped.
At the end of the Jumanji there is a last area with 2 bosses and a rewards room.
(Trust me the boss fight is amazing)
By farming the Jumanji you will be able to reach the 750 level and craft the last item which will allows you to spawn the ultimate boss of the game.

3) Challenges : Challenges are hard but well rewarded. It's a way to do something else than just killing monsters,it's designed to be fun and interesting.

1-The Dark Tower :
Tower in the middle of the Old Forest which have 500 000 HP.
2-The last Castle : Castle in the middle of the Old Forest (mini tower defense,just for fun)
3-Silent Hill : Situated in Hell, the town of Silent Hill is one of the most terrifying challenge.

3) Uber Quests :


First uberquest : Give you an uberskill (you have to choose between 3 uberskills)
Second uberquest : Improve uberskill ( 2 to 3 possibilities)
Third uberquest : Add a passive to your uberskill (2 possibilities)
Fourth uberquest : Let you choose between passive skills. (3 possibilities)
Uber quests are not normal quests, you will have to think to find how to complete them.

Well, hard to judge the project at the moment, why don't you release a gameplay video 5-10 minutes long, with highlights from your map?

Pay attention but keep your own way. Also, remember, whatever you do it results in whether it will be played/replayed for many times or stay once played/tried and be forgotten.
I caught this project nearly finished, so mostly i may only ask not advise. Have read description 2 times. Surely you realize aiming to create a game with combination of features of once and still great games. A mere Diablo II all around the world is still being and will be replayed for centuries (even with my grandchilds in my 80+). So you should consider if you do worse/equal, then some people rather decide to play Diablo itself. And if you do fckng great, i can see huge potential of your project, with hugest huge amount of features. Lets run some points.

0.9 Exceptional + from me for necromancer for the first heroes, not usual only "warrior/mage/archer"

1. 750 lvl, is it mean game to be fat? with 999999 numbers? if so, please mention it in description.

2. Stop making spoilers, you told almost everything happens in the game, let people discover all the beauties themself. Except certain features/things some might dont know, like cube, needed to explain how it works.

3. Dont use Red colors on/in panels, quest menus etc. Make it soft/pleasant, any other but not Red`like.

4. In such huge maps especially with open world, its like "must have" some content for players to have a rest from farming and moreover making the gameplay more interesting. Think about this. Otherwise it will have only option "farm the whole map to beat the final boss". Let it be whatever(just whatever randomly comes to mind ): minigames, arena/or maybe arenas for each area with matching creeps lvl of the сгккуте map leading to final fight and certain reward, some kind of gambling(whatever), even damn fishing with a chance of catching..whatever...a coin, which worth nothing or maybe lead to a secret quest...There are LOTS of ideas. It concerns all the creators of huge maps.

5. I dont touch other dozens of features/thigns. Its your project, we only may see/judge how it will work or be helpful etc

6. I can smell the way of Diablo/PoE while reading description, meaning farm-farm-farm till the end. If so forget all i said.

For having Necromancer i`m willing to try this map.

The progress looks quite to be going quite amazingly. The many features makes it more desireable, Dungeon Crawler inspired? Even better. But I think this one needs a very good tutorial so that it won't overwhelm people new to this kind of game, that or a good introduction. Sure learning by experiece is important but with such a big project there might be a few people scared of it. This might one of the very best maps out there. Can't wait to see the first playable version.
