THe Chozo are a birdlike race, humanoid, and with a cunning intellect. Their design and name is taken from the Metroid series, where they were wiped out by Phazon. But here, in this dimension, they are a completly different race. Wielding more Earthen technology (instead of living stone, etc), their home planet fell into chaos as several factions, including militaries, relions, and the classes, waged war on eachother as the planet fell into darkness. The founder of the Black Sun Corporation, building large colony ships as well as military ships, spirited away those who wanted to escape the corruption, as well as escape imminent doom at a world-wide dictator (no reference to real events). Leaving their universe, they spent over 10 years (Earth years) making thousand of subspace jumps between their old home, and their new home in the newly discovered universe (they were the first to ever travel to another universe). Searching for a place to call their own, they nearlt gave up hope, until one day, they discovered Shakuras (salvation), a lush, green planet teeming with life, unclaimed by any other sentient species. Taking it as their home, they colonized it, and the people elected the founder of the Black Sun Corporation as their leader. Over the years, he maintained his glorious reputation for listening to others and judgng with logic and reason. The economy flourished, and new, shining cities grew upon the surface, a perfect blend of civilization, with the touch of the wild decorating their new-found world. They were free of corruption, free to live their lives as they saw fit. Colonies on other planets soon began, as the Black Sun Corporation headed all military affairs and built up a defence for the people, by the people, to protect them from dangers unknown. Now, a practical empire, the leader of this newfound civilization has brought his people to a new life, a hope, one of glorious potential and the freedom of science and religion. They had found... paradise.

Also, no one knows what happened to their old homeworld, though a future expedition may reveil that. They fear their friends and family, left behind, may have been killed off, their planet uninhabitable. Though, another possible fate is that they are under the rule of a tyrant, or even free of him, and living a similer lifestyle of those who escaped, though not as grand. With the deveopement of science being the main goal, we may even find out, with 100 jumps intstead of a few thousand!
