Only English language copies can use the beta patch.

EDIT: The no return bug theme would mean GUI users could do whatever the hell they wanted, and us JASSers wouldn't exactly be constricted much either...

and for spells... in the most cases you don't need struct attachment

Only for more simples spells which only use a missile and knockback, for example.

Yeah BZK's idea is actually smart... I mean even during summer the time we have isn't that much, during summer people are usually going out and so.

So the earlier the contest, the easier and better.

And so that everyone knows about it, we can ask people a favor of posting a link to the contest in their Signature =)

I said knockback and missiles as examples of simple things which DO NOT need attachment. More complicated things may, however.

Actually, using hashtables in GUI is probably the best thing Blizzard has ever added. The most efficient way (or the easiest way) to deal with the MUI part as well...

I agree. They should seriously make it easier to fix leaks though. I mean, Jass is REQUIRED to make leak-free GUI code... It's kinda bullshit.

Screw up we? Not really, it would rather add we stuff, such as the new bj's/natives. The changelog says they fixed several we crashes. But if you for some reason regret it, just connect to one of the standard servers again and revert to the 1.23 patch

What is new in GUI in the new patch ... did something changed ... ? (i want to start learning JASS but atm i do not know how to do scripts it so i want an answer related only to GUI if you guis can give me pls)

The main new feature is Hashtables and a GetHandleId native. Read about the tutorial here:

Unfortunantly, there are no stand-alone patch yet for the 1.24 version, since it only supports the english version of wc3 so far.

No arrays still function normally whether indexed or not... basically all pre-1.24 GUI functions normally...

Well I never used gamecache so I don't think that'll affect me in any way... and I don't see any use for Hashtables in vJass, but I guess that's just me eh?
