IC: Elenai floated downward...His eyes shining with Etheriel's light...He lifted his blade.....

OOC: And? (Malastar is ruled by undead right?
IC: Regalion, the ruler of Malastar. Regalion looked at bal'zamon with despise, and he said, with a tone cold as death it self : We never should have gave u the task... he was interrupted by bal'zamon,: You patheti... he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest, one of the guards had hit him with the blunt end of his pike. Regalion continued: As, I was saying i knew from the Beginning that you will fail, that u r too weak. With the privileges and powers i gave you, you should have been able to even beat their false god."He then turned to the guards"Take him away!". Bal'Zamon mumbled "you'll see who's weak..." one of the guards approached him, Bal'Zamon grabed the guards forhead as fast as he could, the guards eyes sunk into his head, and the skin on his face dried. After Bal'Zamon let him go and recited "Tenebras Ferimus" with both hands raised, four bolts of dark energy flew towards Regalion two of the balls each hit a guard killing them instantly, as the other two headed for Regalion .

OOC: Malastar was the domain of the Mad king Arrillion...Of whom I banished in spirit form into the wastes...He may soon return when he has taken physical form.

But essentially it should stain either empty, Abandoned...or filled with minions in need of a leader.

Also I think we need another update on the story. I shall look through and make a quick summary so I can keep on track. So stay tuned, and dont add too much.

And with the summary, you can change your posts accordingly, if it contradicts events or lore.

OK! Here we go.

"High above in the skies over Ashen...The Celestial Elf Seers of the Silverstar Council sensed the winds of war blackened by a wave of Necromancy, and sent their fleet under the command of Elenai Lefein, to seek out artifacts, and to seek out the scource of this wave of undeath, and acertain it...should it's poison reach the Flying Kingdom.

Elenai went forth with the fleet, and their he met Gath, his long time friend. And a Dracon named Kamir, and a Wood Elf named Shanna..of whome held a bow that wounded Elenai's Grandfather...

They traveled together for a time, and came upon a Village attacked by undead, and so Elenai purged the village as the percepts of Etheriel state must be done.

And after traveling Elenai attempted took the bow...but strangley...vengence no longer held his heart...and he returned it to Shanna.

They then came upon the scource of the Necromantic blasphemy. Arrillon the Mad-King, who was possessed by the first Mad-King who ruled over the kingdom of Theredor..as it was called when Larissa shined upon it. He was entomed in the very black tome that tainted him...The Tome of Malastar, and as Arrillion his descendent came upon it, and opened its pages he was consumed, and the Mad-King was reborn.

And so Arrillion imprissoned his people, and killed them, tortured them, and twisted them into abominations of undeath, and experimented on them...until he perfected his plague of undeath.

The only sanctuary that remained...was the Cathedral of Larissa and the Paladins who defended it....

Elenai then placed a fortress in the mountains...and called it Silven Tiran, and made the first foot hold on the surface.

Elenai then discovered the undead as they assaulted the Cathedral of Larissa, and sent his fleet to destroy them...It was there that Elenai fell...as he battled the undead fiend Arrillion in mortal combat...He was victorious, having layed the final blow, Arrillion shed his mortal shell, and his spirit fled into the wastes..but Elenai was doomed by his own weakness, when the Cathedral came crashing down, and he failed to hold it...and failed to keep it standing...The once shining temple of Larissa...was now a den of rats and rubble.

Elenai then fell into a deep depression..only Shanna kept him above the brink of slipping into madness...

It was then after recovering...Elenai sent Shanna away to saftey...and Gath took Kamir under his wing, to train in the woods....

Kamir then seperated from Gath, and went with the Crystalmen, and has not returned since.

Elenai and Gath then sent the fleet to guard Silven Tiran, and to keep Celestial Elven dominance intact, and to guard against the evil of Malastar lest its master return.

Elenai also sent word to the council requesting that an order of mages be sent to hunt the spirit of Arrillion, lest he be reborn.

Elenai then recovered set out with his fleet, to hunt a Forsaken, that they had caught sent of when returning from the Cathedral...Little did they know that they were being lead into a trap...and thus they fell into it. And were trapped in the mind...It was here that Elenai and Gath were tortured. And Elenai was tortured the most...For not only had he failed against the undead Arrillion..But he was trapped by a Forsaken...It was then discovered that the Forsaken was not a Forsaken but a servant of him...Being so easily trapped by a mere servant, and an undead servant at that....it was the last crack in Elenai's spirit..and he finally fell apart...He was so broken by his weakness, and failure to destroy the heresies...that only the intervention of Etheriel..A vision, was able to free him, and so he was freed, and with the aid of Gath, Destroyed the Heretic and banished the Forsaken to the hells.

But Elenai was broken, and by order of Etheriel..was sent on a pilgremage. His command, Find Wisdom, Find Lore, and Find redemption.

And so Elenai left the fleet, and with Gath, began the pilgremage. Gath however left, to find his own way. And so Elenai was left alone, and it was there that Aranith found him..and so they went together and found Silas, a High Elf.

And the three traveled together, and came upon a forest, inhabited by wolf men, and battled there....But from the darkness...A new enemy came...A Forsaken named Bal'Zammon.

And it was there in that forsest, that they fist battled the heathenous undead creature.

And after driving him from their path..they traveled onward to Grensintdale, and it was there that for the second time they battled Bal'Zammon.

Fore Bal'Zammon had come to that city, werein the Malice of Vergus, was held under guard, in the keep.

And so he broke the keep, and sent forth chaos into the city, and took the mace...And using its power, called forth an unholy demon...The Hell Mount Az'Guron.

It was here that Elenai was blessed...Fore Etheriel the most high, came down, and made Elenai his will made manifest, and in time, was fully possessed by his might, and he became one with the god, filled with his power. And it was there that he smote the demon down, and sealed his redemption.

Elenai was now free...and his failure, removed....

All that was left now...was to lay the final blow upon Bal'Zamon...But Bal'Zamon fled again, surrounded by his black tendrels, he escaped under the shadow, and traveled at once, for Malastar.

It was then discovered that the Tome of Malastar, had come into his hands, when Arrillion was defeated, the tome fell from his hand, and in the rubble, Bal'Zamon found it. And with its power, learned of Theredor, and of the secrets of Malastar.

And now...Etheriel who is Zerinias, has left Elenai's body...and has returned to the heavens...Leaving Elenai who has taken the name Illunfar, now redeemed, and fullfilled. But still his pilgremage continues....for Bal'Zamon still lives....

...And now...the story continues.

IC: The two black bolts struck Regalion, knocking him back with great power, two large wounds were torn open in his chest, Bal'Zamon then said "Pati Vermis"
And casually strode away as Regalion screamed himself to death. Bal'Zamon, Went down the only stairwell in the room, and he ended up in the basement, were a gigantic, magic proof door stood tall and mighty. He said "Atruum Libri"
And the black book was there once again, he went trough the pages and when he stopped, the most sinister of smiles formed on his face.....

OOC:Elenai don't forget me im kind of knocked out in the umm keep after my breif turn to an evil physco. I just thought of something its time for me to continue the history of darjis.

OOC: I will continue on where I am de-possessed.

IC: And so Elenai watched as Bal'Zammon...at his feet, ready to take the final blow of justice, smiled...and was engulfed in black Tendrels...Escaped again.

Etheriel looked at the black tendrels...and spake to Elenai with in him...

"I return you to your shell holy one...You are now redeemed...TO the Heavens I return, and to your pilgrimage you return. Keep me in your heart, and I will never fail you. For a brief time you have held me...but for an eternity I shall hold you "Illunfar"."

And with that, the spirit of Etheriel's will, left Elenai's mortal body...and in a bright light, like a star, in the soared to heaven.

...Elenai then bent to the ground, and kneeled there for a while...He then went to Aranith, and picked him up, and took him to a safe place out side the city...

OOC: And now we are back on track, and on the same line.

Oh, it wasnt Etheriel directly possessing me..Because that would destroy any mortal body. But it was his will made manifest in spirit form, that possessed me.

Aranith's body was limp his Aer drained the bony right hand the glove had melted off of was still visable and still glowing in a dim green light.

I decided to put the summery into the history adventually when the roleplay progresses it will be completed and become part of the World of Darjis history and we will be famous !

IC: As Elenai looked down at Aranith's bone hand...A feeling of sadness swept over him...He put him down and said...."If your hand be heretical...does it mean you are a heretic? Nay...For Etheriel sees the sin of men..and cleanses it. So I shall heal it for a time..May Etheriel cleanse it for eternity."

And so Illunfar, waved his hand above the boned hand, still glowing in green.."Pureai tel, manas."

And from the hand that was bone, burst forth muscles, and skin covered it. And the green glow began to seep through and infect it.

But Illunfar put upon the newly formed hand of flesh, a seal...and the green glow retreated from it.

"It will only hold for a small while...but if you wish to be forever cleansed..Only Etheriel can help you....lest death itself hold you in its hand...instead of death be held in yours."

And he lifted him again, and walked away.

 

[Gath_Stormer]

Aranith woke a few hours later he looked at his hand he felt a surge of pain as his body fought the seal "what in the what happened to my aarrgghhh hand" Aranith grited his teeth as the dark Aer fought the seal. Aranith drifted into and out of sleep for the whole day still drained. In the middle of the next night the Aer had its way the seal was broken and the skin melted away hes bone hand was bone once more he signed and put a fresh black glove over it. Aranith stood up heading to Elenai he needed to talk.

OOC: where are we in the forest or in a inn.

After howling a scream, unheard by mankind, Drakis moved through the mountain, and jumped off the highest cliff, and soared through the sky. As he flew, he lusted for blood.

IC: Blood will soon be mine...

OOc: maybe i should be able to mind control aranith's undead part? it would spice the rp up i think

IC: Reading the strange lines in the book, a red light could be seen in between the two door wings, Suddenly the chains on the door burst and the massive door fell down. Behind the door was an obelisk, and laying on it's top was a dark gem, gleeming with dark power, Balzamon took two steps forward, and in front of him appeared a great demon, it looked almost identical with the hell mount. The only thing that was different about this one is that it looked savage, and it didn't have the giant saddle on its back. In one arm he held a great dark iron axe, and in the other a whip dark as death it self. Bal'Zamon took another step forward. The Demon raised the arm in which he was carrying the whip, and struk out at balzamon. Bal'Zamon barely managed to avoid the suprise attack, he didn't even get enough time to face the demon, when its other arm flew towards Bal'Zamon, cutting the air in the room with the sharp battleaxe.....

 

[Elenai]

OOC: We are in a forest Gath.....geez..I was hopeing the seal would last a little longer...And inevitably pop out, when we fought Bal'Zamon again...leading to a betrayal moment.

IC: Bal'Zamon jumped backwards dodging the massive axe, and quickly recited "Tenebras Ferimus", two bolts of dark energy flew towards the dark demon, they both hit him directly in the chest, but nothing seemed to happen. "Damn, how could i have forgotten"

OOC:....Is this demon held under Malastar?...if so...why? It was only a human fortress turned inpenetrable and made an undead stronghold...and its major secret was the black tome.

OOC: Maybe there was a hidden motive for it being captured and turned impenetrable? But Bal'Zamon stole the book be4 they could get the thing they wanted?

OOC:..Hmmz...I could make a quick back story involving the secrets of Malastar and the charge of Theredore.....Just give me a moment.

OOC: Have I told you I changed Drakis a bit? Hes now a werewolf, but with wings, dragon claws, and a dragon tail. Btw, where are you guys right now, because I'm flying down a mountain at floating ridge/ledge w/e.

OOC:....Isn't Floating Ridge an island...in the ocean....away from the forest...that is probably in South central Ashen?

OOC: Well sorry Elenai can't read your mind and ya the human nations are in the center of Ashan and the floating ridge is far south in the middle of the ocean near Dasernt (see map) and Aranith's evil side could probly be controlled but it would be hard and probly would last for only short amounts of time.

IC: Aranith walked towards Elenai. Elenai noticed the black glove back on his hand.

OOC: Ok...I almost have the back story....I just need to tweak it some more..and find EPIC music...(the kind that inspires heroic tales) to write it.

IC: Elenai looked up...and new..."how was the seal so easily broken...perhaps it is a more powerful curse than I expected." He said to himself.

OOC: I am planning on taking the name Illunfar as my character name from now on...Although...I might not.

IC: "Atruum Libri" the black book appeared, Bal'Zamon looked at it and it oppened up to the page he was looking for. He read the lines as fast as he could
"Tribuo vestri animus ut mihi vermis. Vobis es meus vernula quod meus mancipium , ego imperium vos , ego imperium vestri factum , ego imperium vestri mens"
The demon slowly stopped walking, as Bal'Zamon was reading the same thing over and over again, the demon bowed down and turned to stone. Bal'Zamon was tired, but that wasn't going to stop him. He went towards the obelisk...

OOC: Awwwz...that obelisk part ruins my back story....Oh well...I guess I'll have to tweak it some more...and I had a really good Diablo Horadrim like thing going too.

Here is the back story.

There was once a Wood Elf wizard who in his youth was named Tanath...But swayed to darkness by a lust for power, that his lineage could not give.

He began a search for a new scource of power...And in his travels...he found "the book".

It was said, that the book was written by the hands of demon sages...eons ago, when the roots of the earth were formed, and Zerinias was still in exile.

He found the tome..buried deep beneath the sands..its pages, sealed long ago, by names lost to antiquity. Its dark secrets held secure with in.

With great difficulty he broke the first seal..and the spells contained with in...cursed him with power not held by any of his kind.

With it, he would raise dead trees, rotted, and twisted...or call forth poisons from the earth. With its power, he summoned all that was corrupt and maelevolent in nature.

But still it wasnt enough...He lusted for more...

He came across a dark chapter...a chapter, that told of a demon lord...imprissoned with in a secret chamber...so arrogant, and so powerful, that the demons of Hell revolted against him, and imprissoned his power within a sacred stone when he attempted to destroy Hell, to create his own...

It was then that the Paladins of the order came upon him...

And so it came to be, that the secretive order of Paladins, known as "The Order of The Golden Lady", chased down the demonist wizard into the fertile lands of eastern Ashen...

It was there, upon that fertile ground, streaming with grass...that the holy warriors, cornered the wretched fiend...Found within his possession the black tome, that held great and terrible secrets.

It was in this land, that the Wizard found a great tomb...deep within a mountain...and found the gem there...held tightly by an obelisk of bone, and on its iron dias, was written "Cursed by Hell...and Cursed shalt thou be who dares take the prize."...And so Tanath used the book, and raised the very bones of the earth to pry the gem from its place...But the Paladins intervened...

They fought with the demonist...and for a while his powers remained...But the Paladins soon gained the upper hand...and were upon him...ready to strike the final blow. Victory was near...

In desperation, and arrogance Tanath grasped the stone, and as he did..the ground split apart, and a demon ascended from it. And with a loud roar, struck Tanath...

"The stone shalt remain." The demon said.."Fore neither by the Power of Hell, nor the Gods, shalt you release his power." Tanath tried to use the book, but the demon laughed...And the demon lifted his hand toward Tanath and laughed again as his aer was ripped from him, and his flesh sucked from his bones. And with a final roar, Tanath's very soul was forced into the book as punishment...But with his final breath Tanath screamed, "I SHALL RETURN!"

The Paladins, then were beset by the demon..and fled from it..And quickly by the power of Larissa they sealed the tomb...With a mighty door...And placed upon it runes of warding, and inscriptions of containing...to seal the tomb for all eternity.

And upon its face, but a curse appeared upon the door...and a spell was forged upon it, that should the prophecy of the tome be read by one of power, the door shalt open...

The Paladins feared this...and took the tome, and sealed it also within a secret tomb...and above the tomb they built a massive Cathedral, and above the tomb of the gem, a fortress...

And they forged a kingdom whos sole purpose was...to guard the secrets of the tombs...lest their evil spread forth, and the powers of Hell be set loose upon Darjis.

They called this kingdom...Theredor.


But it would come to be, that Theredor would grow prosperous...and loose sight of their sacred guard...King after King ruled under the blessed light of Larissa...but when chance came...A curious King found the tomb...and unlocking it, he found the tome...and was tainted by the whispered voice of Tanath...And so he used the books power for evil, and the gaining of wealth, and power. Soon he was known only as The Mad-King...But he would soon be destroyed, and the book lost for years in his secret archives...

But it is said that the book is abroad once again...

OOC: I haven't put "" in my histories because so far no one has talked in them. Also great backstory maybe i can find a place for this in the histories maybe n the last part of the Rise Of The Undead one but i will have to write it. I start thinking about it now.

IC: Aranith sit down beside him "Elenai I am so sorry I know your a priest and all but its from my dad's side" Aranith's voice lowered greatly "he was a Forsaken his name was Zen'Maio" A great gust of wind flew over the forest the instant the name was spoke and the forest became greatly colder. "Making me half undead somtimes the Forsaken side of me overpowers my human side thats what happened in the keep we are both lucky I was able to create a backlash or the city would have probly been completely destroyed I just hope you and the Godly forgive me. Would you like to hear the story of my father"

The Rise Of The Undead Sub History: Before the Reign of Arrillion

It was said, that the book was written by the hands of demon sages...eons ago, when the roots of the earth were formed, and Zerinias was still in exile.

He found the tome..buried deep beneath the sands..its pages, sealed long ago, by names lost to antiquity. Its dark secrets held secure with in.

With great difficulty he broke the first seal..and the spells contained with in...cursed him with power not held by any of his kind.

With it, he would raise dead trees, rotted, and twisted...or call forth poisons from the earth. With its power, he summoned all that was corrupt and maelevolent in nature.

But still it wasnt enough...He lusted for more...

He came across a dark chapter...a chapter, that told of a demon lord...imprissoned with in a secret chamber...so arrogant, and so powerful, that the demons of Hell revolted against him, and imprissoned his power within a sacred stone when he attempted to destroy Hell, to create his own...

It was then that the Paladins of the order came upon him...

And so it came to be, that the secretive order of Paladins, known as "The Order of The Golden Lady", chased down the demonist wizard into the fertile lands of eastern Ashen...

It was there, upon that fertile ground, streaming with grass...that the holy warriors, cornered the wretched fiend...Found within his possession the black tome, that held great and terrible secrets.

It was in this land, that the Wizard found a great tomb...deep within a mountain...and found the gem there...held tightly by an obelisk of bone, and on its iron dias, was written "Cursed by Hell...and Cursed shalt thou be who dares take the prize."...And so Tanath used the book, and raised the very bones of the earth to pry the gem from its place...But the Paladins intervened...

They fought with the demonist...and for a while his powers remained...But the Paladins soon gained the upper hand...and were upon him...ready to strike the final blow. Victory was near...

In desperation, and arrogance Tanath grasped the stone, and as he did..the ground split apart, and a demon ascended from it. And with a loud roar, struck Tanath...

"The stone shalt remain." The demon said.."Fore neither by the Power of Hell, nor the Gods, shalt you release his power." Tanath tried to use the book, but the demon laughed...And the demon lifted his hand toward Tanath and laughed again as his aer was ripped from him, and his flesh sucked from his bones. And with a final roar, Tanath's very soul was forced into the book as punishment...But with his final breath Tanath screamed, "I SHALL RETURN!"

The Paladins, then were beset by the demon..and fled from it..And quickly by the power of Larissa they sealed the tomb...With a mighty door...And placed upon it runes of warding, and inscriptions of containing...to seal the tomb for all eternity.

And upon its face, but a curse appeared upon the door...and a spell was forged upon it, that should the prophecy of the tome be read by one of power, the door shalt open...

The Paladins feared this...and took the tome, and sealed it also within a secret tomb...and above the tomb they built a massive Cathedral, and above the tomb of the gem, a fortress...

And they forged a kingdom whos sole purpose was...to guard the secrets of the tombs...lest their evil spread forth, and the powers of Hell be set loose upon Darjis.

They called this kingdom...Theredor.


But it would come to be, that Theredor would grow prosperous...and loose sight of their sacred guard...King after King ruled under the blessed light of Larissa...but when chance came...A curious King found the tomb...and unlocking it, he found the tome...and was tainted by the whispered voice of Tanath...And so he used the books power for evil, and the gaining of wealth, and power. Soon he was known only as The Mad-King...But he would soon be destroyed, and the book lost for years in his secret archives...

But it is said that the book is abroad once again...

[Elenai]

OOC: Oh yeah...I was wondering where I had put that name before.

IC: Elenai replied..."You need not appologize friend....Fore you did not claim this curse by choice, you did not seek it for power...you were born with it. And though I am a priest, and though your half is indeed heretical, your other half is pure and full of life....Etheriel will forgive you of it...and perhaps some day...he himself will cleanse you."

"Tell me about this Zen'Maio." And as Elenai spake the name...the woods became deathly still. Elenai then waved his hand...and the winds began to stir again.

 

[Gath_Stormer]

IC: "I will but a quiet place is needed the sound of his name might draw atention. Do you know of a place?"

 

[Elenai]

IC: "Indeed I do..."Now lets see...I have a visage sphere here somewhere....AH HA! Here it is."

Elenai pressed a few runes on its surface...

"Gath!...Are you there?"

 

[Gath_Stormer]

OOC:wow bringing Gath back into this.

Gath pulled out his sphere "hello Elenai where have you been" Gath's voice was weak and he was laying on a bed gashes lining his chest "what makes you want to talk to me" He then saw Aranith "ARANITH! what in the..." Gath sit up real fast and grunted from the pain.

OOC:It will take a while for me to get back into Gath's character.

Bal'Zamon went over to the crystal, he raised his hand and dark mist could be seen on the ground, he slowly took the crystal, " Nos servo idem eadem idem vinco. Adeo mihi ut suus mos est perfectus " he read from the book, and the gem popped out of the obelisk...

 

[Elenai]

OOC: Thats alright...we simply need your cave..

IC: "Gath...were is your training cave located?" "We need a place to recuperate...we have faced another forsaken...he raised a demon and escaped, we destroyed it, but he must be after something..he has the Malice of Vergus, the mace of the Paladin who sealed the vaults of Theredor...and he also has the Black Tome of Malastar."

IC: Bal'Zamon took the gem, and put it inside an indentation in the Mallice, he was knocked against the wall, and the mallice hovered in mid air...

 

[Elenai]

OOC: GASP!! That item is SOCKETED!!!

 

[Gath_Stormer]

OOC: oh god diablo 2 all over again

IC: "hmm ok I guess i can give you the location" A map came in view he resited a spell "Rarainth Ianelen Ransprotino" the map appered in Elenai's hand "don't let anyone see that map also watch for the cat see you there" the sphere turned to its origenal color and Gath's face faded.

IC: "Excellent..quickly Aranith..we shall go to Gath's...cave...thingy..."

 

[Gath_Stormer]

IC: "Seems he never told you about the spell...... ." "Its a simple tansportation spell directed to go directly to his *secret* hideaway but to do it two spellweavers(spellweavers are the common word for magic users) are needed. Would you wish to do it instead of walking?"

 

[Elenai]

IC: "Sure...it sounds alot quicker...and safer...than walking."

 

[Gath_Stormer]

"Granic Runic" A circle of runes surounded them "repeat himalina with me" they reapeated it over and over they appered in a medow flowers and greenery all around them but surounding them was rock and in front of them a giant building with several towers coming from it.
