Yeah I see, actually makes sense ^^. Though you could change to jungle with keeping all the roads, houses etc. I've just played a bit around and I really like your map. But the terrain is definitely not on the level it could be. I'm thinking of shrubs, plants, bushes, palms etc. instead of some trees only.
Beside that, shrubs would also add a certain tactical value so you can hide soldiers in them.

This aint Vietnam........

BREM looks like shit lol , i dunno if its worth of uploading. Texture for american units is not ready , it will be used also for M113 vulcan mount , M60a3 and other US vehicles that will come , so M-88 will be released when ill finish the texture. If someone need them now PM me.

Anti air units will probably be , SA-13 Gopher and ZSU-23-4 Shilka for
USSR and M163 VADS ,M730A2 for USA. Need some time to make those models. Im not sure about the S-300.

T-72 and M60a3 should come soon( about a week).

I decied to add Ah-64 Apache and Mi-28 Havoc.

I really would hate to see the Gopher ingame. It's not a very common SAM, nor a very capable one. It's in reality several Strela-2/3's stuck together to a single control room inside of an MT-LB APC. I would recommend the OSA or Buk M1 SAMs. They were division level tactical SAMs. Now a quick question you are going to release the AH-64 along with teh rest of American units once you finish the texture?

OSA SA-8 doesn't require a separate radar vehicle it incorporates it into the basic design of the SAM.

I think he's talking about the scaling value of some of the buildings. i only found the helicopter scaling a little too small. Most everything else looked good in that aspect.

The map is outstanding so far. I could only give suggestions on how to spice up the terrain a little without causing additional clutter.

In my opinion the sides should be even in both strength and cost, to make it completely balanced gameplay, even though that may go against the concept of the original PC game.

I would recommend either doing what Satomi said in making the sides identical, or in making the sides different but not in direct strength but rather having different capabilities. And one other (kind of major) remark. The MiG-31 was never meant for ground attack. The MiG-31BN which had ground-attack capabilities never went into major production, and was created after the collapse. If you need tactical bomber for the USSR try the Su-24 Fencer and Su-25 Frogfoot.

Im still working on the balance, maybe im wrong but strenght/cost diffrences makes it more interesting. ( Tell me if im wrong :p)

I agree that terrain needs a lot of work, especialy countryside.

Feanor i may replace Mig 31 in future, for now i got more important models to do. Now i need M60a3 (i started working on it yesterday) and T-72( nearly done). Then Tu-95 and maybe B-52 for carpet bombing.

I finished m-113 and m-163, also i want to add medical variant with red cross
attachment on it.

If you need not released models much PM me, i wont submit them until ill finish texture for US units.

I'd give more plus rep, but it won't let me ^^ the M113 looks wonderful. So how about the M113 being the parallel of the BTR-80 and the Humvee being parallel to the BRDM (or at least the same class not necessarily identical). Then the BMP can be parallel to the Bradley (like it is in real life).

Here comes T-72 , im not happy about it but i have F. enough of dealing with the reactive armor. Now ill focus on M60a3 to put them in next map version.

Hmm BRDM looks easy to make , ithink ill make it. Ill definetly go with your parallel sugestions. Altough BMP-2 and Bradley already are even.

The M1 is a heavier class of an MBT. It's by far better armored. It's problems come in the form of speed and logistics. This is where the T-80 really shines. The barrel-launched ATGM also helps with long-range engagements. Though realistically at that range you should be calling in arty anyways.

I suggest getting some of Born2Modificate's photorealistc doodads, unless the filesize is too big. They would make the rest of your military models fit better with the environment.

In any case, you might want to get doodads that fit more with the rest of your models. Not necessarily B2M's.

Also, last time I played, the helicopters were huge. Maybe tone them down a bit.
