Why isn't the Hive affiliated with WC3 Campaigns?

Because

  • They don't want us
  • They have other rules
  • And even if, what does it matter?

Well making easier to find resources and wc3 related sites for new users.
Improving connections between the sites and degrading their rivalry which also has no clear point. But both sites have very clear purposes, "improving the warcraft3 modding and playing expirience".

I prefer Hive, although when I was checking WC3C out, I noticed that its almost a copy of Hive. The rep buttons, the phrases like (Insert name here) will become famous soon enough on the rep. However, personally I think that Hive is much better. Hive even has a rule that "Hive is a friendly community"

GUUUUUUUYS.
This is a moronic questions. While thw is like "^_^", wc3c is "-.-"
They got their group of people. If someone's good, they'll find wc3c anyway. Wc3c doesn't need to be popular and have millions of morons just so they could say they are active. Say what, 50% of THW's active userbase are MORONS. And like 5% of WC3C's active userbase are morons. And that is because, even when they are noticed, they get banned.

Afilirating thw and wc3c wouldn't do any good, we don't need more idiots over at wc3c anyway, and people from wc3c are too good to spend their time at THW.

I think of the Hive and WC3C as "levels" in a modders career. The Hive is a place for people to learn and refine the skills needed to be a respected user for whatever you choose to mod. Some people can advance to the level were they can move to WC3C, some people choose not to, and others are hopless.

I visit both sites... I come to THW because I know a lot more people here. I go to Wc3c for answers (in complete honesty). However, even though its probably titled and biased because this is being said on THW, the majority of wc3c supporters who have commented in this thread don't say much for their userbase.

Regardless, a modder who wants his map to actually be played will logically attempt to reach the standards of both sites in order to get it posted on both sites. Getting your map posted on wc3c means a "higher" standard has found it to be in high enough quality to be added, likewise posting a map on THW, though possibly a "lower" standard, opens your map up to a greater array of people. It's two sides of the same coin.

Maybe we all just need to realize we can flip the coin more then once.

No, they just don't support idiots and incompetence. :D
That's exactly what they support, actually. I've been using WC3C since 2002 and THW since it inherited wc3sear.ch's resources in late 2003 or early 2004. The only real difference between the two sites is the number of users.

This whole meme that "WC3C is for pro modders" only started after people began to abandon the site. In reality, WC3C is like the little kid whom nobody wants to play with, so the kid says "fine, I didn't want to play with you anyway."
