I've grown very tired of it being obnoxious, and I would like for it to be downsized, and made into normal text, instead of this...terrible piece of intelligence insulting plaything that is in my opinion a hypocritical piece of stupidity. If a normal user can't make a Lolcat thread, then a global moderator who is entrusted with a semi-serious position should not be screwing around with the off-topic area, and treating announcements like a personal play thing.

Fairness.

At any rate: Who agrees with me that it should be downsized, and made into an actual announcement that isn't glaring in your face? And who does not?

PS: I already made a thread in Admin contact, it has pretty much gotten me nowhere...so in homage to others before me....

What I think it should say is "Creating stupid threads will get you banned"... if 'threads' was some verb, then it would make sense, like "Stupid posting will get you banned" or "Being stupid will get you banned", I don't know, something. Making it a bannable offence is in my opinion just going a little bit too far. If this idea will continue, then 75% of all users will be banned, including that yellow bastard himself. I'd rather have "You'll get punished if you make stupid threads" than the current "MAEK STUPID POST = B&" banner. Did the entire Hive staff turned to Mecca all of a sudden now?

It's more of a thing just to discourage people, I wouldn't really ban them unless they do it constantly

It's a friggin netbook. I'm just saying that it looks like crap for anyone on an average sized screen.. on my desktop computer it's just a tiny rainbow in the corner, and although it doesn't break the line it still overwrites text around it, like the part that says the author of the thread. Final statement still stands; it is an abomination.
