MadseN you should be exempt from challenges. That's another sick piece. That town in the background looks awesome. How do you manage to get those atmospheres so perfect?

I like the one MadseN just attached. The one you posted looks pretty plain.

Edit]:
Oh! Forgot I made this terrain the day before yesterday. Hopefully it passes as a meadow since the center of the entire terrain, except in the background, is a meadow.

Those aren't for the contest, right? Because if they are, I can only say you're not allowed to use models not in the UTM. If I'm correct, these are B²M's high res doodads.
If they're not for the contest, for what purpose were they posted here?

You may only use the Ultimate Terraining Map, which is avaible at the end of this post. A deep thanks to DungeonM for creating such a helpful map for terrainers. Thanks also to demonsofdante, Ghenjis, and HappyTauren for completing it for this contest. No skins are accepted after a tileset has started. As such, you should always inform me (Rui) that you would like to use the skin in further tilesets, by posting in this thread. Remember to provide a link to the skin/model you want to use, or simply attach it to your post.
After the Participants List, there is a list of material you may use for your terrains.

High Res doodas ain't allowed, or have i got it all wrong ?

I'm giving up, I can't beat Madsen or don't have time to even try. Actually I don't care anymore do I lose or win. Madsen makes the terrain almost look like art and I have never been good with art. And I don't have any inspiration and I don't like all the models that are in ultimate terraining map. Maybe I finish my entries just for fun but I don't care of this contest anymore, I have more important things in my life.

You are always so angry and negative. You have changed a lot since you came to the site and that is not for the better.

Raging, I agree, especially after that comment ^^
Jaakko, there is no need to be such a big baby about this; just because Madsen is an excellent terrainer, with a very good artistic perspective, doesn't mean you should just give up, it should make you work to improve; either your 'skill with art' or something else that can make up for the lack thereof so that you can compete with Madsen, that is what I am trying to do rather than whine about it. Jeeeez

Winners need other people to enter. If I can I'll try to get something done, but I have a lot of terraining to do right now. :( There can still be a battle for second.

Let Jaakko's decision be his own. If he decides to quit for any reason, and then continues to tell us that he is not interested in returning, let it be.

This thread is starting to get boring. How about some more terrain screenshots!?

I'm not whining anything I'm just saying I can't beat Madsen's entry.
And I tought challenges are made for fun, not for win. Jaakko I see you want to win always, but sometimes you just can't, but never give up. If someone else have a very good terrain will not give the reason to give up. That's shamefully. At least in my opinion. Never give up! Try your best.

Well, you have joined to many other contests too. You don't enjoy them? I wonder why you joined then to this and to other contests? X_x
It was fun to make a cinematic but boring making a terrain. Or I don't know after I made the cinematics I would be bored to continue cinematics right away. Maybe terraining will be later less boring but right now I have this period and I have other things. Like making a map for Unreal Tournament 3 is quite fun.

I will finish my terrain later that will propably compete for 2nd place but I didn't feel I got much feedback from people what got me bored.

The sky is kind of wierd o.o but I do like everything on the grounds, imo it would look better in a dessert setting.

I totally agree on the sky. Can't find a good one. How do I use that night sky with the stars? I also don't like the ground where all it is is trees and bushes. It looks too plain, I need either hills of something.

Can't decide, with spires or no spires?

Sorry for double post.

Pretty much all I'm going to do. It's better, but I may try some stuff later.

Three, probably final, I'll decide later.

Try one of the winterskys (like pink or red) and jack with the fog to make it orangish or something. Right now the sky doesnt match with the fog or terrain. You also should put a lot more on the ground in terms of environmental doodads Its extremely plain, try adding grass doodads, skeletons, or smaller versions ofthose stalagmite type rocks clustered together. Also put more height variation in the terrain like rolling hills and whatnot to give it perspective. Your lone hill with the watch tower looks unnatural and out of place.
