How about we have both and either have them as brothers, or one is superior to the other, like Rasler is the higher up and Haldan has to follow his orders, lol

Lol, imagine you are given a choice which one is the traitor, and they're both backstabbers in the end, so both choices are right and wrong at the same time, like the final mission of human book 1 of arkain, only either way a traitor escape, now that would be too funny

but what about seriously having one as the person in charge and the other as his follower/subordinate

Go for it, these are your ideas after all, just remember to test it before actually stopping on something, you could have some of the abilities switched around, add others etc. Theres a certain feeling you can give the player when hes going up against this traitor that this guy will do anything to win, maybe give him spell shield as an ultimate and add dark summoning as a default? I think it would reflect his personality more since traitors often hide behind others rather than attack directly or run into battle weapons drawn, but again this is just my opinion

Good opinion, I'd rather he had Granite Gollem as an ultimate though, but you do have a very good point regarding the hiding behind others

Another idea

Give him spirit link as a default

Ability 1 - Energy bolt
Ability 2 - 3 level dark summoning
Ability 3 - Enchanted Armor
Ultimate - Summons 2 or more medium gollems or other units

Or maybe switch it so that he has self heal for ability 2 and the 3 level dark summoning instead of enchanted armor

i see u guys making some progress

might i suggest something; remember that blood shield idea blake had? the one where you hide the divine shield in the 0, -11 position and have a triger active it only when a specific ability is cast, that is an ability that kills a friendly unit, maybe u should give rasler the traitor this one,

what u think

Completely forgot about that one, might be a decent idea since we have worked out the mechanic, I thought it was supposed to give the hero mad armor though, thanks for the remind

Originally it was suppose to metamorphose the unit into an identical unit surrounded in a red glow which had a much higher attack and defense, it was supposed to be called "Blood Ritual" or something like that

You know the abilities that create special sphere or runes that have give off powerful auras that boost your friends stats, some good abilities =)

@Rem I think I have some wip saved where those things were being developed, but they're not particularly powerful or anything, I can try to find and send you the files if you wanna work on them, they're just abilities that are a nerfed version of curse - they summon a gem or something of that nature that has an aura, some of them are way too easy to destroy though, pm me if you want the files

if you give the character a good story it wont matter what model you use. besides i think the original model with the maul looks better

Lord Rasler was formally a humble captain in the ---- region of Milrein, however has risen up the ranks by driving rebel forces from the region, and has now been put in charge of the ---- as well as extracting magics from ancient runes and artifacts found it in. He is well respected for his military accomplishments by the general populace but his research into magical runes and artifacts receives much distrust and criticism from the mage community.

Well he's based on a real person, and I think it fits in quite well

Picture this:

You fight with Rasler on your side either as one of your heroes, or as one of your allies' heroes, then in another mission his entire force either changes sides and fights alongs with the rebels, you simply see that he's fighting with the rebels from the start, or maybe something like you expect to get him as reinforcments but instead he comes and fights against you with the rebels, the third option would be best imho

I think the best scenario would first be able to control him, then in another mission you would be able to control him until you complete a quest after which you have to wait some time and he along with other rebels tries to blitzkrieg your base, that would show his true backstabbing nature

Ok,

A doom ability that "summons" a floating rune that attacks the enemy, has mana burn and has an aura that reduces their attack by 50%

You and Aster are the only ones who are really in chat most of the time, rest of us are around but during different times of day, that's why the thread is rather more convenient
